Family fun in the sun

Five different families rented units over the weekend. This unit is very minimalistic. It could use some attention to comforts like water pressure and the mattress. I spent little time here as this was just a place to sleep and shower. (That is why I mention water pressure and mattress) The unit was clean and sunny.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When I checked in one of the alarms in the unit was going off. I installed a new battery to fix it at my expense. When I used the bathroom for the first time someone had left a poop in the toilet - not a great start to say the least. I will not be using your services again.

On the Bay

The Bay was beautiful at high tide, it is a bit of a walk to the actual ocean, but very nice walk in good weather. The only disappointment was we couldn't hear the ocean from our room.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I stayed in this exact condo 13 years ago. Everything was the exact same. The place could really use some maintenance and updates to compete with other rental properties. Nice location, although noisy from the highway traffic. You'll need to bring extra everything if you plan on staying here: sheets, blankets, pillow cases, soap, shampoo, dish soap, salt, pepper, extra towels... The property management barely has this place stocked for two people, let alone four.We booked this as a last-minute trip, and it was the only property available. We're totally fine with that, but would only book it again as a last resort (no pun intended).

Does not have a water view all year long-when it not high tide its just sand, parking lot, & freeway

Since the site says water view/ocean view, I expected a water view. When I checked in the evening, I was shocked to see no water. Just sand/parking lot/ Also, there was road construction going on, so I couldn't have the slider open because of the noise. I booked this property for a quiet relaxing weekend vacation on the water, and had the opposite of that. Load construction machines, going all night with lights, and no water-- except a puddle that I could make with a hose. People were walking thru the little puddles of water that were scattered here and there, about an inch deep. The office was closed when I got there, so I had to wait until 9:00 the next morning to try to move to a different unit. After talking to them, they didn't have any other properties available, so I had to find a last minute water view room at a hotel and pay for it. This property refunded me the other 2 nights, but I was charged all the fees - I got about 50% refunded of what I paid - so it was a very expensive and stressful one night stay. I will not be staying here again. I have stayed at many rentals, and have never had this issue. I told them they should post that the water view depends on the tide, so hopefully they will so someone wanting a water view as their main priority, will contact them and ask about the tide before staying there. If you aren't going to be in the room much, and don't care about your view, or some noise from the highway that is right out your balcony, then this place is for you.

Our experience staying at Waters Edge Condo #302

When we entered, we were surprised to see how little furniture and accessories were in the condo. One chair and a sofa in the living room. A very small table with small chairs. The view was good.

I assumed it was the reservation number however it was not. I had to search for the contact information and after standing outside the door for about 30 minutes, I got ahold of someone who gave us the code to get it. What isn't shown is the highway right next to the end of the complex where 302 is. For the price, we expected more, especially the bed which felt like a box spring. The view, aside from the highway/under construction bridge, was beautiful.

A neighbor was playing loud music late into the night but manager was not around during our whole stay. WiFi wasn’t working on ANY of our devices the whole time we were there. Luckily a neighbors was available for our kids schooling. Router looks to be from the early 2000s. Come on ’s 2021 here. Kitchen needs more plates and bowls. Not enough for 4 people

Reviewer Comments: The unit we rented was one of the cheaper units listed and appeared to be older, which was fine with us. What wasn't acceptable was the condition of the unit when we arrived. For example, a large pile (several inches high and wide) of bird poop just outside the slider to the deck, the couch was stained, a picture was clearly missing from the wall as you could see the bolts where it had hung, and the bed was very old and not very comfortable.

The maintenance staff was responsive but the “fix” was a bandaid. The furniture in the living room was comfortable but it was old and permanently stained. It was gross. I put a blanket over it. A little money spent on newer furniture and a newer television would make this an awesome rental.

It would be nice to have a screen on the large sliding glass door. It would have been good to have OBV send a message that the credit card did not go through when I paid the first time. Wonderful Getaway

Enjoy seeing the tide

This unit has a great view of Siletz Bay (Only a distant ocean view). I was amazed to see the changes in the bay due to tide movement. Quiet at night but during the day the highway noise can always be heard.

We came to this one after staying in another room at same resort. This one was horrible. Large pile of bird poop on deck along with a bunch of sand. apparently whoever cleans doesn't open the slider to deck. miscolored paint in bedroom. no pictures on wall just the picture hangers. Couch was dirty and needed cleaning, got with rental agency and someone came by with more sheets. We would not let our grandson open bed after seeing lots of food crumps when bed was opened up. The owner should be ashamed to even rent this place. The other unit was clean and decorated very nicely. Rental co should refuse to rent this unit until upgrades have been made!!!

The condo is in a great location. The elevator is a plus. We felt like the unit we stayed in was not owned. Most of the ones we stay in are decorated with personal touches. Also the site said there was a DVD player and there wasn’t. We had lots of problems with the wi-fi. Spoke to management people 4 times on the phone and it was never resolved. After the 4th call we never got a call back.
