River Heads is a quiet and relaxing spot where the Mary River meets the Great Sandy Straits.
The house is located about 500mts from the boat ramp and barge access to K'gari and looks over the Susan River. Hervey Bay ( shops, restaurants and whale watching ) is about a 15mins drive.

River heads stay

Our stay was amazing, very clean, simple check in, reasonable price and generous snacks and breakfast options laid out upon our arrival! If we find ourselves in the area again, we would look to stay here.

We had a wonderful stay! The home is beautiful with lovely decor and a welcoming feel. It was such a bonus that it’s pet-friendly. The thoughtful touches like wine, snacks, and breakfast provisions made us feel right at home. Communication with the owner was fast and easy. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway

Amazing place to unwind

This home is amazing and such a lovely place to unwind and relax. The amenities were beyond excellent, the layout with each bedroom having its own ensuite was great for us travelling with my parents.Our fur baby was welcome as well.Communication with owner was great and we were able to stay more days than anticipated.I would definitely stay here again.

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful home! We wish we could have stayed longer. Our hosts were very kind and their communication was excellent. The house is very roomy and has so many gorgeous touches. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we got to enjoy a stunning sunset on the back deck. You won't regret staying here, and next time we're holidaying in the area, we'd love to stay again. Thanks again! :)

What a fantastic place. We arrived to very late but the fridge was full that all 4 adults had a dinner. Wine and beer a bonus.5 star quality bedding. towels, soaps and generally the whole house. Wish we had stayed longer.The owners also have their own bees and leave you a jar of honey. 15 out of 10 for this property

Fantastic Stay

The house is really comfortable and extremely welcoming. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. It is in a beautiful, quiet location with water views and kangaroos come into the back yard in the afternoons. Will definitely stay again next year!

We had such a beautiful stay. I wish we had stayed longer to truely enjoy the house and that view! A lot of love has gone into that space, we felt so at home. The house is very well stocked and we enjoyed the fresh eggs for breaky kindly provided. The space is aesthetically appealing with the home decor.We'd love to come back for a longer stay another time.Boz was also so accomadating with allowing us to check in late and we left our dogs bowl which was offered to be sent back to our home for us. Thank you again

Perfect pause before K’gari

Beautiful quiet setting away from crowds and so close to K’gari access. The home is beautifully appointed and hosts incredibly helpful. The perfect place to pause before heading over to the island or coming back.

Peaceful and picturesque

This is a stylish and thoughtfully appointed property which blends beautifully with its quiet scenic location. It's not far from Hervey Bay, and we enjoyed having a break from the hustle and bustle of South East Queensland. The hosts were helpful and friendly. We would have loved to have stayed for longer, just soaking up the gorgeous outlook.

Our 4 night break - 4 adults

An impressive property with lovely open plan living areas, large deck and beautiful views. The hosts went out of their way to make sure every little detail was covered. There were so many extras such as breakfast supplies for the first two mornings, a welcome white and red wine plus beers for our first night. Lunch ham and cheese etc too. The kitchen and laundry were extremely well equipped. The residence was beautifully clean with quality towels, sheets etc. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you Simon and Boz.

Boz and Simon were fantastic hosts who were very accommodating and were just up the road if we ever needed anything.The photos of the house do not do it justice. The rooms and living spaces were huge, with a great big deck with a small BBQ out back, with floor to ceiling windows offering amazing views of the susan river within River Heads. The property backs onto the river inletand gets a fantastic breeze.The house was so clean and tidy, and had all the amenties you could think of, from an eski and bag of ice in the freezer, picknick hamper to the basic necesseties such as sandwhich bags and cling wrap.This was a true Bed & Breakfast experience, with fresh bread, butter, eggs, bacon, cheese, milk, coffee/tea available on arrival, and even a few tasty beers and wine!! As we stayed over Christmas, Boz and Simon even had the foresight to provide a small bag of christmas decorations, which helped us get into the christmas spirit.The kitchen was huge and beautiful, with everything we needed to cook up a few meals.The property is only a short stroll to the local shop, and close to the barge to Fraser Island.Honestly, for the property, the price is a steal for what you get. Would encourage anyone to stay at Boz and Simons place, you wont regret it.The only thing I can think of for an improvement is to put an AC in the bedrooms, as it got a bit warm one of the nights, but thats only if I'm being nitpicky. There is AC in the living space which gets the house frosty.
