Nice Place

Would definitely recommend Zanzibar. Peaceful place close to everything we wanted. Pool was a welcome oasis. Will definitely return!

Poor Sister Side of the Duplex

Not sure where to start as I found so many issues with this property...... If you want to save money on your vacation and like to cook this is not the place for you. Dull knives, no cutting board, meager pots and pans, a can opener that won't even open the thinnest can, a back yard that is mostly bark mulch with a single OLD plastic chair, a pool behind the other side of the duplex that has the nice outdoor furniture behind it. A gas grill with an empty propane cylinder that you have to fill if you want to use it. You are NOT permitted to have any quests over to enjoy the pool with you..... The pool access from this side of the duplex has a chicken wire opening with jagged edges and no way to actually close it. Probably a code violation...... 2 very cheap rolls of TP and 1 roll to cheap paper towels are supplied. I bought my own and left the cheap stuff for the next victim.... Worst rental experience ever!!!!

Nice Get - A - Way

This small duplex was clean, well stocked, and a short walk to the beach & several places to eat. Also, a short drive to grocery, drug store, airport & other shops. I liked that the area is not too touristy or congested. It was nice to have the use of beach towels and chairs. Very easy to access and good parking off the street. We didn't use the grill & the patio tables & chairs were all in use by other tenants.I wasn't impressed with the intercostal. The water is very littered with trash & debris. Of course, this is no fault of the owners. Our courtyard area was secluded with no view. We had to open a make shift fence (I didn't see a gate) to get to the pool. We were able to push our way through at the corner. We did enjoy watching the iguana very much! Very interesting creatures!There was a maintenance issue with the bathroom sink that I addressed with the hosts when we left and they assured me it would be taken care of. We used the kitchen sink instead. The cooling unit in the bedroom was very noisy, but cooled well. The unit was a nice temp & we never adjusted it at all. The decor is a bit dated, but clean. The appliances worked well. Nice place to stay if you don't need a view or any frills. The pool water was very clean/warm. The shower is nice.The bed is comfy. The neighborhood is quiet, clean & well maintained. Good walkability. The beaches are very nice & we ate lots of great food nearby! Easy check in/out! Beautiful weather!!

Excellent value

Hosts were very easy to communicate with, very quick to answer any question. I would highly recommended this property location is within walking distance to grocery stores and beach. The pool was heated perfectly. The pool, yard, and unit , all very very clean.

This is a great stay for the price!

Great location, nice pool, excellent host. This is a great stay, It is older, and the air conditioning system could use an update, but that is reflected in the rate. The host was available and great to deal with! We enjoyed our stay!

Relaxing Short Stay

We loved this apartment. It is quiet and in a great location, and the outdoor pool area is relaxing. Although there is no central air, the AC unit has cooled down the entire place well. The bed is comfortable, and there is a smart TV with good internet. We enjoyed eating at the Tiki in the pool area. It's a few blocks from the beach. Perfect for us. We will be back for sure

Lovely little duplex

This little house is absolutely perfect !! Its very clean and exactly as stated in the listing, the location is great and we loved the pool and patio in the evenings ! This is a very cute little house and we will stay here again I am sure !! Everything worked as it should and we´re glad we found this place ! The manager Sabrina is very nice and easy to get in contact with. We recommend everyone to stay here !!

This property looks much nicer in pictures. It is ready for a bulldozer. It did have plenty of hot water, and all the old appliances did work. There were broken windows and a ripped screen; broken blinds and an off kilter door. The smoke detector battery was dead. The AC unit in the living room was dirty and moldy. The kitchen faucet would only spray, not stream. The internet connection wasn’t that great. The pool area was ok. Tiki hut was ok too. The general condition of everything was old and tired. I would not recommend staying here.

As Expected...Great Location and Pool

Super fast responses from property manager every time. Grounds crew and maintenance were very responsive and great as well. Wireless internet worked very well with nearly zero downtime. Pool is nice! Pretty much as expected. Only a few minor issues for our 2+ month long stay.

Not as described at all

No view. No dishwasher or disposal. Bathroom door would not close. All vertical blinds with many slats missing. No end tables in living room. We had to access shared pool thru a fence. We didn’t know we were getting a condo attached to the one shown on the VRBO description. Very noisy window air conditioning. Very disappointing. However, there was a nice walk to the beach and a little center of restaurants and outdoor area.

Excellent location and all amenities I wanted; owner very responsive.

This modest 1 bedroom apartment is part of a duplex with a shared private pool and excellent location on the waterway and only blocks from the beach. Everything was clean and in order. Small kitchen, but well appointed and stocked with dishes, silverware and cookware. Owner was very responsive when we had questions. The larger 3 bedroom unit was vacant during our stay, which allowed unlimited access to the backyard and large pool. I would rent again if given the opportunity!

Romantic cottage in upscale resort town

Located in a high-end residential area of the upscale resort town of Lauderdale-By-The-Sea, the cottage gives an immediate relaxed vacation feeling, and in a safe environment, just a short walking distance (2 blocks) from the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean, and only few blocks from the waterfront restaurants and entertainment around Anglin’s Square and the famous pier. The 1-bedroom cottage is beautifully decorated with original antiques, the kitchen is fully equipped , and the living amazingly relaxing and lounge-style. The cottage is connected to the neighboring larger villa (where we spent 3 weeks after checking out from this amazing cottage) with which the tiki bar, outdoor heated pool and deck is shared, so that al these facilities can be enjoyed as well while, for those wishing to stay more private, the green backyard displays 2 sun chairs. The a/c works well and the wifi signal is perfect, so in case you stay in town on business, like we did, you can rely on the fastest internet connection whether for a skype conf or for watching a movie. Mrs. Sabrina Montemerani, the property manager, provided an outstanding customer service, blending the skills and competence of a seasoned travel agent with those of a highly-professional real estate agent.

Great Stay

Great location near the beach. The place was clean and well equipped for everything we needed. The pool was fantastic on a very quiet canal. Great time for 3 weeks in Fort Lauderdale. I would stay here again.

perfect vacation !

this home was really like your own home,kitchen has evrythink,small refrigerator for beverage and big for food.we catch crabs and fish on the our deck.make barbecue .sweeming pool is clean and inoff big.property not new,but evrythink is in good condition.location is near of shops and restorants.i can complain only about beach(to match grass).but cottage whe are I stay was wonderful !tnks for management and special for Sabrina!

Lovely Villa in perfect location

Villa Hibiscus is a lovely villa in a quiet street, 5 minutes walk to the beach and 10 minutes walk to Anglin Square bars and restaurants. The pool is beautiful, as is the seating / eating area overlooking the Intracoastal. The villa has plenty of space for 2 people, with a large bedroom and walk in closet. It is well equipped with cooking utensils (including a kettle for those of us who drink tea!), a large fridge, loads of towels, beach and bath, and a good hairdryer ( not one of those useless ones attached to the wall). Our only minor criticism is that the bathroom could do with updating and it would be good to have a room safe for passports, valuables etc. You share the pool and outside space with Unit A next door, and this property has 3 bedrooms, so depending on the time of year, you are likely to be sharing with a family. Sabrina, the manager, and all the other staff we met, were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and vey enjoyable. We will definitely be back!

Great Location

The unit is located two short blocks from the nearest beach access and about three blocks from the intersection of Commercial and Ocean, the hub of local restaurants and shops. This is useful since parking is metered and limited near the shore. The pictures are generally accurate, though the unit has a bit more wear and tear. The kitchen is well-furnished and there are plenty of towels, both for the bath and the beach. We especially liked the seating next to the canal. The unit is a rental and is not owner occupied. Communication is via a management company, not the owner. The internet access rarely ever worked. The Apple devices displayed a strong WIFI signal icon, but the apps could not reach the internet. So we depended on Starbucks. As per contract, the pool was not serviced during the stay, so after the first day or so, the pool was too dirty to use. Or at least, the debris floating in it made it uninviting. The only serious concern was the lack of a working smoke detector. A new one was in the closet in its original packaging.
