Quindy Beach Cottage – Steps to the Bay
Terrific little house in a fabulous location. This tranquil cottage retreat has a rustic charm which will stir up memories of holidays from years gone by, but with the bonus of some modern touches and conveniences thanks to its recent refurbishment.
A hop, skip and a jump from the beach – almost literally(!) – this home is in a fantastic location, about a 30-minute walk or 10-minute cycle to town along the beachfront path.
The owners have furnished the home very tastefully for you, giving off a beach vibe, creating a fantastic space in the summer, surrounded by water or in the winter enjoying a red wine or two in front of the wood-burner.
Downstairs, there are three bedrooms, two with double beds and one with a set of bunks – all with new high-quality mattresses for your comfort - linen and bath towels are included. Also downstairs you’ll find the main living area, with a modern kitchen, dining table, seating area. There is a bathroom with shower, vanity and WC and also a second separate WC. Additionally there is a small laundry with a washer-dryer.
Climb the spiral staircase to enter the upstairs loft area which has been set-up for your recreation with a huge sofa, TV and a foosball table.
The home has WiFi and the TV is a smart TV with Netflix and other apps.
The home is offered for your exclusive use. There is a locked room upstairs which is for the cleaners use.
Please note that the home may not be suitable for younger children due to the spiral staircase, front balcony, wood-burner and the non-enclosed gardens with access to the inlet to the rear and road to the front. Whilst we accept children, it is at your own risk and we would not recommend this home for toddlers.
There is a kayak (and life jackets) that you are most welcome to borrow - it can be used either in the inlet to the rear of the home or in the ocean at the front!
Included in the cleaning fee - linen is provided and beds are made-up. Bath towels, hand towel and bath mat are also provided - please bring your own beach towels and face clothes.
This property is self-catering, however a starter pack of toilet paper, hand soaps, shower gel, dish washing liquid, sponge & bin bags, etc. is provided.
School Leavers: We do not accept any school leavers bookings at any time of the year.
We wish you an enjoyable vacation but we also ask for you to show consideration to the neighbours with respect to noise, especially after the hours of 10pm.
Council regulations allow holiday homes to be rented for accommodation purposes only and not as a function venue e.g. for a party or wedding. Functions and gatherings are not permitted and, if evidenced will be closed down immediately.
Please be aware that noise complaints are a breach of our terms and conditions and will result in immediate eviction from the property without refund.
One bag of firewood is provided May to October. There is air-conditioning in the main room upstairs.
