Hi Lisa, We understand that you had a bad experience unfortunately due to the issues out of our control. The previous tenants broke the sofa just the day before your stay. Given it is holiday period, it is not possible to find any solution to it. We absolutely did our best and refunded you with a very generous amount as you insisted staying for the night. As to the general condition of the house, no other guests have commented any issues like what you described. We appreciate that your judgement may have been comprised by the unfortunate situation especially with the stress from your parents. We all know how that feels. Things could have been exaggerated a little. However, we sincerely apologize for the situation. And we believe it has been resolved promptly and in a satisfactory way as you stated yourself. I am a superhost in Airbnb and the house has been reviewed at 4.8 star on average with most of them at 5 star. It is an old retro house as it was advertised with a fair price. Our goal is to provide affordable accommodation to our guests.
