Our stay at Casa Lago was absolutely wonderful. This beautiful lakefront home had plenty of space for our whole family, both inside and out. This was our fourth visit, and it continues to be our hands-down favorite vacation spot!Favorite activities included:1.Volleyball, pool, shuffleboard, pickleball, and mini basketball in the amazing Gaming Casita2.Swimming in the pool and relaxing in the jacuzzi3.Fishing, canoeing, paddleboarding, and swimming in the lake4.Playing cards, puzzles, and games in the great room5.Scenic hikes and walks on the property6.Sharing meals and playing cornhole on the patio7.Not turning on any of the many TVs!We also brought our own family bonding activities: nightly dessert contests with surprise ingredients, a “Favorite Things” challenge, a patio Iron Chef-style dinner, Spanish Bingo with prizes, and matching PJs for everyone.Aaron, the on-site property overseer, was accessible, friendly, and super helpful—especially when we needed support with the jacuzzi.We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Amazing property; encore visit

Stunning remote location with plenty of bedrooms & bathrooms! We had 8 adults ranging in age from 20 to 70 as well as a 3 year old. Be sure to bring plenty of food, drink & ice as supermarkets are 25 min away. Property manager Aaron was so responsive to any questions or issues. Never a shortage of things to do! Our family fished, kayaked & enjoyed the game room. Indoor & outdoor fireplaces added to the amazing experience. Five stars!

Our New Annual Vacation Spot!

We were looking for a spot that was within 2 hours of the family (OC & SD) and came across this property. It is close but yet serene in its mountainous location. It is private with only 1 neighbor roughly 200 yards away from the house. The house was perfect for our family of 4 adult couples and 3 grandkids (2-4 yrs. old). When I booked the property I read all of the reviews and one of the reviews stated that a couple of the bedrooms do not have separate doors to close the rooms off. This is incorrect. All the bedrooms are separate rooms (with doors). The grounds keeper does a great job maintaining the property. He greeted us on arrival and showed us how everything worked and then respected our privacy (we did not see him for the rest of our trip). FYI, he lives in a residence on this 19 acre property (you cannot see his house from the residence). We fully enjoyed: fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, utilizing the rec room (indoor court, basketball, pool table, shuffleboard). The living room was very comfortable for all of us to lounge around and enjoy each others company. Thank you Erica for making your home available and being so responsive when we had questions. We hope to make this an annual trip. This is the type of property that you can visit every year with the family and make life long memories!

Dream property!

Thank you for letting us stay at your beautiful property! My family and I throughly enjoyed our stay. There was something for everyone to do. Kids had so much fun playing outside, by the lake, in the pool, all around the property! The game room came in handy for kids and adults and living room in the house was a wonderful place for everyone to hang out together. The pictures really don’t do this place justice, so much nicer in person. House was clean, ample supplies and towels, and everything needed to have an awesome family gathering. Property was private and secluded, very peaceful! We really enjoyed our time bere.

Amazing and relaxing time

Our family, consisting of 10 adults and 3 kids from age 10 to 16, completely enjoyed our week long stay. We had a wonderful time. Some went fishing, went on paddle boards in the lake, went in the pool, in the jacuzzi, had fun in the game room, went on some hiking trails and just sitting on the patio and enjoying the beauty of the lake. We loved the creatures we saw, ducks including babies, ground squirrels also with babies, rabbits, butterflies, dragonflies, birds including an eagle that landed in a tree near the house and stayed there a couple of hours. He was an amazing sight. Also a group of goats that came nearby in the late afternoon. The kitchen is well stocked, unlike many vacation rentals- towels were abundant. Much of the recreation equipment had wear and tear, but was available and had clearly been thought through. I would recommend that you bring ice with you as their ice maker is not working. I brought my portable, countertop ice maker which solved the ice problem completely. The care taker was helpful and responsive. The grounds were beautiful and the opportunity for good gatherings is ready- you just need to bring the people. We were all reluctant to leave. We had such an amazing time and made memories to last a lifetime.

Beautiful and remote

Gorgeous views, spacious home, total privacy! We loved it. So many good places to chat and play. There were some issues with the pool that the onsite property manager worked on for us. No cell service but the WiFi is good.

Something for everyone!

The host was fantastic answering questions and there was room for everyone! We hiked, paddle boarded, hot tubbed, fished, made s'mores by the fire. The kids loved the playrooms and the big gathering room! We made lots of great memories. Highly recommend! 👍

Great quite getaway with fun lake/pond fishing and water activities

Great place to unwind and get away from it all. Lake/pond is full of fish...bluegill, catfish, bass and the provided fishing poles and tackle were all we needed to have a little fun catching and releasing. Little frogs in the small pond. Big hang out areas and game rooms. Overall, great place to getaway with friends and family.

Wonderful and relaxing experience

We selected this home for an office retreat. The seclusion and natural setting made for a fantastic experience. We enjoyed the very comfortable recliners in the living room for sessions during the day and board games in the evening. The lake is such a unique feature and allowed us to easily bask in solitude and nature at a moment's notice. Everything we needed was included for champagne toasts, cooking, cocktails, etc. The only drawback is that it is far from a proper town, phone service is therefore spotty, and some of our group found the drive up to be a little harrowing. Overall, though, I can't recommend this home enough.

Paradise on the lake

We had a fantastic time. Everyone from 2 to 82 enjoyed themselves. The kids loved playing in the lake, swimming and exploring all over the property and the game room was a big hit too! The property is absolutely beautiful. Thank you for letting us rent your home. The only recommendations we had would be to upgrade the beds and the dishwasher was not mounted in properly (for future safety) almost came out of the wall. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful property!

A slice of paradise!

Our family came together from all over to celebrate my parents 60th Anniversary. The property is more remote than expected but WOW! The photos are great, but in person it was spectacular! The grounds are truly amazing and beautiful, the flower fields were beautiful and to be able to take a hike around the property was great. It was terrific to be able to fish from the dock or in the canoe (and you can catch a lot of them). We were hoping to use the paddle boat however it wasn't there so it was good that there were kayaks, paddle boards and a canoe to take out. The pool was great and refreshing! The home is so spacious that we never felt on top of each other. The family room has plenty of seating to fit everyone which was nice. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, silverware and glasses. The host and groundsman were responsive which is a plus in my book. We would love to come stay in the future!

Family Vacation

The property is beautiful and the house is perfect. We loved the family area as it had so many seating areas everyone could sit together. It would have been perfect had there been a ceiling fan and TV in each room. The kids rode the canoes, looked at tadpoles, dragonflies, hiked, swam, fished and enjoyed the game area. 3 nights was definitely not enough. We would decimately rent this property again 😊

Beautiful place! Well stocked with necessities. Master bedroom was comfortable, where I stayed but the other guests mentioned their rooms could use new mattresses. Other than that we had a great time making memories! Thanks for sharing your little bit of paradise with us!

Amazing family vacation Lakehouse

We had the best time!! The fishing was so much fun for the kids and adults. This home is more incredible than the pictures show. We really liked the privacy and the hiking all around the property. We will stay here again
