Perfect for our family

Excellent communication, even sending a message when our room was ready for check in. Appreciate the luggage storage closet. All the amenities we needed. And the location is amazing.

Excellent stay at a perfect location

A lovely and clean room with all the amenities in a perfect location. No complaints. Walking distance to all the main spots, including the BSI bus station. Highly recommend it.

Perfect for 24 hr layover

Great location. Property was exactly as advertised. Clean and convenient. Great communication to get us in and out. Would definitely recommend for short term stays.

Very small room, but we had everything we need for our stay, very clean, convenient location close to the beautiful church where all the tours take their start, walkable to the center of the city and bus station. We are very thankful that we could leave our luggage before the check-in and after check-out in the hotel.

Was inexpensive, downtown, and comfortable. Only complaint was that the windows need to be open and there can be loud sounds outside, but there’s not much the property owners can do about that.

Really convenient spot in a great part of the city. It was nice to leave our luggage in a locked room and explore the city while our room was getting ready and letting us know our room was ready early was awesome. Everything was great about the guesthouse we really loved it for the most part. Except the pillows really suck (though the bed was super comfortable) and if you're 6ft or taller the shower was awful. I could barely fit in it and it made it difficult to clean myself. Other than that it was a great spot.

Great location ! Only 1 negative is this. Being that there is only 1 window that opens I believe it would be helpful if a fan was provided to help with the circulation. When I was there it was 82°. It was a little difficult sleeping without air movement.

We really enjoyed staying at Day Dream L23! It was located in the heart of Reykjavík on a residential street, which made our experience of the city more authentic. The room was cozy and warm and had everything we needed. The kitchen was super useful, as we made some of our meals at home. The hotel was a short walk to shopping, dining, the harbour and public transit. Overall amazing experience. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent location for walking to shops and restaurants. Small room but very clean. Very comfortable beds and bedding. Excellent communication from hosts. I would highly recommend.

Really good location, right in the center. It’s tiny but also cheap, so that is fine. The only thing we disliked was that we didn’t know the emergency exit was going through our room and that meant we had emergency lights on 24/7 and they were extremely bright which made it hard to sleep. We would have brought sleep masks if we had known! The bathroom was a little messily renovated, but clean.

Host is accommodative. We arrived early morning but host was kind enough to let us check in. Room was good and clean.. close to dining, tour pick up locations and shopping. Local restaurant called Loki (highly recommended) is just in front of the apartment. Only thing was shower water was not controlled sometimes get too hot and sometimes too cold. May be it is a common issue in this area.

I would consider this more of a hostel than a hotel. The common areas (entry, halls, stairwells) looked very sketchy - as soon as I walked into the building, I considered cancelling my booking. However, the room was okay. It had what I needed, was clean enough. The water smells kind of like sulphur. The location is great for walking around Reykjavik and driving out of the city. Free parking a short walk away. If they cleaned up the entrance and slapped on a coat of paint, it might even warrant another half star.

There are kids that sit under your windows all night and yell all night, the apartment was way way too expensive for being a dorm style room after staying in beautiful apartments the same price prior. The smell was not good. Best part was the bed it was comfy. I had to close windows because it was so loud with loitering that caused it to be very hot in the room. The fridge was also one other perk.

This was the perfect location of you're looking to explore Reykjavik and shop. Our studio was small and quaint. We enjoyed the room, though it felt crowded. If you're not planning on staying in much, you're probably fine. There was everything you needed to make a meal, coffee or tea in the morning, and bathe. I was able to make s few full meals for me and my husband. That was great and saved money. The only downside was, I didn't like that you could hear all the neighbors or that the shower was so tiny and there was no exhaust fan. Parking was also difficult.

No Heat

the room is small and the sink area had a leak so it would fall on our food and had to find in the small space a diff spot to prepare food. The room had no heat and how can you not realize there is no heat when the country is so cold and this would be the first thing you check. The bathroom is not made for a normal human to be able to fit in. It was very uncomfortable to get in even for my relative that is barely 5ft. The owner never got back to me when I placed my concern.
