Almost Beachfront- Beautiful Pirates Beach home- Sleeps 14-Steps to beach!!

Almost Beachfront is exactly what it claims to be, a luxury beach house just steps from beautiful Galveston beach. Come relax and unwind at this family friendly home and enjoy some island sunrises. You can watch and hear the waves from any of the three decks and watch the sunrise from the comfort of your living room. This large home sleeps 14 and is kid/dog friendly. This four bedroom, three full bath beach home has one king bed, two queen beds, and 5 full beds, and two pull out couches (full) to chose from. We have updated the house this year with all new pillows and high count sheets to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Stop adulting and enjoy some days on island time. There is a fabulous game room in the garage where you can enjoy foosball, ping pong or play air hockey with your family. There are assorted games and DVD's in the home so you will never have a dull moment. We have a high chair, pack and play and baby rocker should you have a little one. Enjoy making a puzzle together on the kitchen table or enjoy putt putt or a movie in town.

Pirates Beach is conveniently located near a wonderful Italian restaurant(Mario's), liquor store and fresh seafood store right across from the neighborhood entrance.

There is a gas grill, free wifi, Roku and TV/dvd player. We also have a high chair that straps on the dining room chair and lots of baby toys! There is plenty to do on the beach and around town to make this vacation as busy or as quiet as you like. We know you will love your stay in Almost Beachfront and we hope this will become a special place for your family as much as it is for ours. Enjoy your stay!

Plenty of space for our extended family including a sizable kitchen and dinning table. Amenities were as advertised including excellent climate control. Owner was quick to respond to issues which were minor (couldn’t find one tv remote; ceiling fan not working). Proximity to the beach was a quick walk which made for fun time for kids and adults. We plan to return next summer!

Amazing Cabin and Location

Wow! We had an absolute blast during our stay! The cabin was perfect! And the owner was the best! Very accommodating to my wishes and made the whole weekend one to remember! Would definitely stay here again!

Great property

This is a very nice well-kept property. We Loved the location of this beach house. Very easy access to the beach. We loved all the outdoor patios. We plan to rent the same property next summer.

Nicole, Thank you for the kind response. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay at our beach house. I think the beach is really at its best off season. It is nice to throw on a light jacket and walk the beach or just enjoy time inside having good conversation with good friends and watch the sunset on the rocking chairs on the porch. Wonderful home

This was our second year to stay at this home. It is the second home from the beach. Easy access to the beach. We plan to reserve it for next summer as well. It’s spacious and comfortable.

Annual Family vacation - always in Galvestion, always at Pirate's Beach! & always as close to the w

Was a wonderful week. We were able to get most of our family together. A couple of our families were at a home 3 doors away and there were 3 families at Almost Beach. Was close enough to the beach (one house) to be right where we wanted to be. Love the homeness of the community. This beach house checked all our boxes.

Perfect location to the Beach!

We had a great time here at the beach house! The house was in a PERFECT location to walk right to the beach. It was one house back from being front row. The house was probably one of the most stocked short term rentals we have ever stayed at to be honest. That was a nice touch. It was perfect for our multi family trip. The beds were cozy, it was clean and Jennifer was so nice and easy to work with. We would stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a great stay near the beach.

Great house, perfect location

This house was perfect for our group. The number of beds/bedrooms and bathrooms made accommodating couples and kids easy. The kitchen is good sized and super-well-stocked. The variety of decks and seating areas allowed for everyone to get together and for me to find some quiet space. Outdoor shower is great. The beach is maybe 50 feet away. It's clean and not crowded at all. Highly, highly recommended! We will be back.

Awesome for families and extended family!

This place was amazing. Exceeded our expectations. We stayed here with our family and had extended family come in from the Houstan area and stay with us. The most we had at one time was 8 but there was plenty of room for several more. The views from the multiple decks were breathtaking. We had our coffee out there every morning and watched the sun come up. The game room in the garage was awesome for the evening entertainment. It was also nice to have the washer and dryer and not have to bring hone a mountain of dirty laundry!.

Taking the team to the beach

Me and a couple other parents took our high school cross country team here for the weekend. Unfortunately it rained most of the weekend. But they had a great time anyway. The location is perfect and the house was great. There was plenty of room for everyone. We had 11 teens and two adults. The game room in the garage was nice to have but the kids didn’t use much at all because it was just too hot in there and house rules were you can’t open the big garage doors. So maybe bring a fan or something you can use to try to cool it down. We were here in the spring. I can’t imagine how hot it would get in the summer. Maybe we missed somethjng that could cool it down I’m not sure. The owner was great. Always answered any questions right away and was very nice and easy to deal with. It was very clean inside. I would definitely recommend the house.

Becky, Glad you had fun despite the rain. Glad your group had a fun end of year trip. I wish I knew you about the garage door issue because that isn’t a rule we have. The garage doors both open and could have been opened. I ask for renters to not play with the shutters on the windows and leave them as you found them, but there is no mention of the garage doors. Our host was super responsive which was nice b/c we had to switch vrbo's after our 1st day to this one. I'll start with con's as there aren't many...-Beds are ok, squeaky every time someone rolls over. -Pictures online show an updated home, while it looks like this somewhat, it is very lived in since then. Chips in walls & paint, house is all closed up (it looks light and airy), plenty of seating but the cushions are all piled in the living room and impossible to tell which cushion goes with which chair. The garage area does have beach toys/chairs but they are all rusted out and dirty which was disappointing. And there's no parking in the garage as stated b/c it's full. -No propane grill as stated, we had to go buy charcoal & lighter fluid. There is a charcoal grill.Pro's...-Great communication with owner-Location is amazing, go for this alone, it really is 50 steps to the beach.-We were able to find a tent/wagon in the garage to use which was a gem-Adequate amount of seating for our family of 9-Kitchen is fully stocked with a blender even.-Fun to have a lot of games in the living room-Upper deck is cool-Front deck has lights which is nice to sit and read at night or watch the sunset, you can see the ocean from there and have coffee in the am. -Air conditioning :) -Bathroom situation is adequate as well. -Refrigerator has an ice maker-Close to activities, restuarant, grocery store, gas stations. Would go back, thanks for your hospitality.

A really great stay

A nice home, clean and pretty. Located two houses from the beach. A nice view of the beach/water from the balcony. We will stay in this house again. Easy check-in/ check-out. The house had everything we needed plus.

Perfect for our group!

I rented this house for my Girl Scout troop annual trip. We had 15 people in our group ranging from 5-35. Spacious, clean, and proximity to the beach- you can’t do better! Definitely renting again

Beach house review

The property is nice; however, it appears to have some maintenance work that needs to be completed. Some of the siding is falling off, the lower level lights outside were not working, and some of the siding on the 3rd floor appears to have fallen off as well. With a little TLC, I'm sure it can compete and even surpass the other beach houses that I've stayed at over the last ten years.

Darren, Glad you had a good stay. The siding damage is due to the hurricane winds we had a month ago and new siding is all back ordered on the island as all houses close to the beach experienced some damage. Hard to get supplies these days.. As to the outdoor carport lights, we can look at those but was unaware they were not working prior to your stay. Thanks for the heads up. Jennifer

Great Near Beach House

Clean property, nice neighborhood, 30 meters to sand and beach. Outdoor shower was great for rinsing sand off before going into house. Small store, pizza very close. Plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms. Would want to rent again!

4th of July

We had a wonderful time in Galveston over the 4th of July. The property was large enough for everyone to have their own space and yet enjoy each other's company. The mornings having coffee on the porch and listening to the ocean was wonderful.

Wonderful retreat for three generation family!

We had a wonderful time. This home is so close to the beach and the grandkids loved the game room which is a rare find. The owners we gracious and easily available. We have stayed at many homes in Pirates Beach and this is our favorite!
