Great location! Just a few minutes walk and you are sitting on the beach. House was clean and kitchen was well stocked. Everyone enjoyed to pool and hot tub, as well.Robert was a great host. Communication was excellent.

Great beach house! It was exactly as described, clean, and in a perfect location with an easy walk to the beach and close to restaurants and other amenities. The pool and hot tub were a great bonus and made for a relaxing stay.

We loved our stay so much that we have already booked for next summer!Plenty of space, comfortable beds, and Robert is an incredibly responsive host. Definitely recommend staying here during your next trip to the OBX!

What a great stay

We had an amazing time staying at property. Check in was so easy and host were easy to communicate with and always willing to help. Amenities were amazing including the beach wagon. It was very difficult to get my kids to do something other then swim in the inground pool. The beach wasnt too far of a walk to get it. We loved staying here!!!

Relaxing, private beach house. We had a group family of 10 with plenty of room. No issues with house or appliances. Nice location to beach. We would recommend.

We had a great time, owners were great to deal with. Also had a supply fan go out in an air handler during our stay and it was fixed that night.

Great Location

This is house is near everything. Plenty of things to do and see. Close walk to the beach. The house was clean, everything worked. The owners communicated and had everything ready for us. I would definitely recommend.

We loved OBX

John and Mary were wonderful to rent from. Their communication about everything we needed to know about the property was top notch. The rental itself was the perfect location. The kitchen had everything we needed. I was glad I read previous renters reviews so we knew to bring kitchen, bath and pool/beach towels. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect get a way

Perfect size house for a family. It was my husband and I and our 2 teen daughters and one of our daughter's friends. The house was clean, and stocked with nessessities. Pool was relaxing and the kids loved the hot tub. Highly reccomend this house. Decent location to walk or take a quick drive to the beach that has free parking. We had a wonderful week, no complaints at all.

The home was beautiful and just what we needed with the pool, hot tub, and close beach access. Communication with the owners from start to finish was great! Thank you for sharing your home! Only issue I noticed is the upstairs stair area, it’s very easy for them to fall through and down the stairs. (Maybe not a house for toddlers that want to explore everything)

Wonderful vacation!

This house was perfect for our family vacation. Although we had rain for a few days, we stayed busy with the foosball table and ping pong in the game room. Once the sun appeared, we had a 5 minute walk to the beach and a beautiful pool to enjoy. We had a minor issue with the dishwasher, and John had someone there almost immediately to take care of it. Thanks for the wonderful vacation!

Fantastic Family Vacation

Loved this house. Everything exactly as stated. Would definitely recommend. We really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Very clean and clear water. Our 4 and 2.5 year olds loved the bunk bed room! Close walk to beach. 2 wagons, several beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Don’t forget to pack towels. Food Lion very close and prices are great! Kitchen had everything!

We vacationed for my daughter’s wedding in Corolla, NC. so we wanted something very close to the Currituck Club. I started my search for beach house back in August 2025. This house offered Sunday -Sunday and had what we needed along with plenty of parking. Everything was exactly as described in the pics posted plus some extra’s! They had beach chairs, wagon, umbrella, cooler and bogg bag to use at the beach. Walked outside and found horseshoe pit. We were able to cut through the woods in our backyard to get to the pickleball courts too! We brought our dog and she loved it. Outside had nice size yard and shade tree’s. She hung out while we played basketball and enjoyed the top deck with us. We used the pool and hot tub everyday! Getting to beach was 10-15 min walk or you could drive 3 min to public parking and 5 min walk to beach. We especially enjoyed the neighborhood, not a busy street, no construction close by, was pretty peaceful and quiet. I almost forgot, an ice cream truck came down our street a few evenings so we loved this!! Overall, 10/10 experience at Crab A Cold One!! I had great communication with host before and during our visit. Thank you Robert for making our vacation/wedding a memorable one and also mark one in the books for my daughter’s wedding 6-12-26. Congrats Hailee & Joey. We’ll be back next year for their anniversary!

Great place to stay

Really well stocked rental. Had like 6 beach chairs, beach wagon, sand bucket/shovel, 2 stock pots to boil crab, kitchen towels, dish soap, keurig coffee pods, Tupperware, some hand soap. Don’t forget to bring bath towels and beach towels. It was an easy flat walk to the beach just a couple of blocks away, most of which is on a path and not a road. Wagon can easily make it all the way to the dune steps and many people leave their wagons parked there. Lots to do in the house. Pool table, Board games, foosball Would definitely stay again.

Nothing short of amazing

The owners were in contact with us before the trip even started to give us advice on how to avoid a toll road to save us money. We arrived to an amazing house that was immaculate inside. A private pool, a private, hot tub, basketball court, ping pong table, a pool table, a foosball table, and a horseshoe pit to keep everyone busy when we weren’t at the beach. 3 blocks from a beach with a life guard. There was every cooking utensil and implement you could possibly need for home-cooked meals. You cannot go wrong renting this house. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home for the week we were there. Don’t miss a chance to stay in an amazing house in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood

Fantastic home!

We loved this house! Pictures don't do it justice. It smelled so clean when we first walked in and everything was spotless! Great cleaning crew! Has everything, a pool and hot tub with privacy, outdoor shower, foosball table and pool table, beach chairs and a wagon to take the chairs and other miscellaneous items to the beach. We were all happy here. Watched movies in the room on the top level. Make sure to bring your own bath towels, and some paper towels, toilet paper and soap for the bathrooms. Kitchen is fully supplied with everything we needed for the week. I would say it's a 6-7 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute bike ride. We rented bikes nearby. We loved the house and would definitely stay here again! 5 stars from us! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a wonderful stay at this home. There were three different living areas for everyone to spread out. We traveled with our 3 adult children and their friends, so the huge rec room with a pool table was a big hit in the evenings. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and easy walk to the beach access. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The surrounding pine trees made it very private and we never heard or saw our neighbors when we were at the pool or on the decks.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had 6 adults and 2 toddlers and there was plenty of room. The pool was refreshing and the beach was superb. The house was well-appointed. There are a fair amount of stairs to navigate but this is probably typical for beach houses in this area. Restaurants in the area are very good, especially in Duck.

Perfect escape

This place is close to it all, while at the same time being tucked away enough that you can enjoy privacy and quiet. Clean throughout and well stocked for family entertainment, this place had everything we needed and then some. Crystal clear refreshing pool, same with the hot tub. Billiards, cornhole, horseshoes - you name it. A quick walk or drive to the beach. Excellent for a low key laid back family vacation, it's location is very close by to Currituck Lighthouse, Corolla Adventure Park, 4WD beach access, the sound for viewing sunsets. Recommend giving FirehouseBoil.com a shot for a family clam bake. If it's relaxation you're looking for in the Duck/Corolla area this place is sure not to disappoint.
