Owner Direct Vacation Rentals in North Myrtle Beach welcomes you to your home away from home! ODVR SC is a local, family owned and operated rental agency - Smiling Faces and Beautiful Places - We want to welcome you to your best vacation rental!

Cape Myrtle has a large beautiful yard, professionally landscaped with grand palms, a high private fence, outdoor seating, dining area, large pool w/ lounge chairs and 2 grills (charcoal & propane). There are front and rear decks and a large paved area around the pool for sunbathing. The pool is 10,000 gallons and ranges from 3ft-5ft in depth. SORRY POOL CANNOT BE HEATED.

Plenty of parking and motorcycles/trailers are allowed. Parking capacity varies based on size of vehicles or additional trailers, but generally, 6-8 cars would fit along the driveway/grass side of the house. It's just 3-4 blocks to the beach, from the sidewalk directly out of the front door, but also a great option to rent a local golf-cart and enjoy cruising the kids or grandparents to the dunes, or around the neighborhood to the local park.

This 5000 square foot home can be used by 2 or more families, as it has duplicate features on each floor w/ an interior stairway joining the two floors. 4 BR/2 BA Upstairs, 4 BR/2 BA Downstairs (Bedroom Layout -- Downstairs: 1 King shares bath with 2 Doubles -- 2 Doubles shares bath with 1 Queen -- Upstairs: 2 Doubles share a bath with 2 Doubles -- 2 Doubles share a bath with 1 Queen (13 beds total). Bed and bath linens are included with your reservation, beds will be freshly made upon arrival, kitchen and bathrooms will be supplied with a small "starter kit" of paper products and hotel size soaps. Just enough supplies to give you a break from dashing to the local store after your first long day of traveling.

The interior offers 2 fully-equipped kitchens, making meals a great family experience. Each level provides an open space of living / dining / family gathering areas, with eat-in kitchens (dining tables and counter-top bar seating for all), full size appliances, 2 laundry rooms w/ washer/dryer, foosball, WiFi and cable. Just steps out the front door and down the sidewalk, the beach is an easy 3-4 block walk to a nice public access, with showers, parking, bathrooms, wash stations, and handicap ramp access. Cape Myrtle is a wonderful private oasis with everything you need for a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay.

Perfect for a Golf Group

Golf group of 8 was perfect because everyone had their own room, but could handle more if you wanted to double up. Big gathering area and pool was an extra bonus.

Great Time At Cape Myrtle

The location, pool in the backyard and condition of the property was outstanding. The arrival check-in was seamless, everything was as described. The size and setup of the House met our needs and we were very happy with how close the location was to all the things we like to do! We are already planning next year and hope to be back if the property is available!

Not what I expected

Check in was delayed due to previous renters trashing the place. Lights in pool and yard didn’t work. Gas grill only worked on one side. Beautiful home and location. Need to bring your own cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels etc

Best Family Gathering

Cape House

The house was in a decent location, but the floors and a good portion of the house was pretty dirty. Some of the ceiling fans didn’t work and the couch had so many springs you couldn’t sit anywhere without being uncomfortable. The toilet seats were pretty beaten up. Pretty disappointed overall.

Awesome Thanksgiving Retreat!

There was enough space for everyone without anyone feeling crowded. There were some minor issues that were quickly resolved by the owner that did not interfere with our stay! We were able to complete our Thanksgiving dinner in a timely manner as there were two kitchens which allowed all the cooks to work together to get things done! It was a truly enjoyable time and we plan to return next year!!

HOUSE FOR 8 MADE OUR STAY GREAT

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As you can tell by the title, the house was everything we needed it to be. A getaway for 8 ladies in need of some rest and relaxation. We walked to the beach, and was a short distance for anything else we needed or wanted. We had to grandmothers who were ready to book a vacation ,just for the pool alone. There was enough room for families to be together or apart.

Myrtle Family Reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was fine, the kitchen needs to be upgraded, specially the stove, but everything else was comfortable.Great location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and stores. The only complaint that I have is with the owners pool tech. He was rude, had a few inappropriate comments and would just walk in without introducing himself. The property management sent the cleaning crew at 8:15AM, even though I stated I was leaving at 10AM.

Overpriced Old Smelly Shack - to far to walk to beach

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Musty old smell. Dollar store disgusting pots. 5 chlorine tabs in the pool to mask the urine stench. Old appliances. Way, Way , Way overpriced. Plywood for bed frames. This place hadn't been updated since the 80s. The best thing about the place was the shed.

Nice place but poor customer service experience

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family made a reservation in 2020 and extended the reservation until 2022 because of high Covid rates in the MD area. We enjoyed the location and overall, were fairly satisfied with the property. Several things were not working in the property when we arrived, however (eg, shower head in one bathroom). Additionally, be prepared to take all your trash off the premises as there is no trash service provided. Renter beware: be prepared to be charged for items that you may not have broken as well, or items that were already in disrepair and experienced normal wear and tear - we were charged for a broken pool net which we didn't touch, and a broken plastic pool chair that was already in rough shape.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great location, close to supermarket, shopping, food etc. large enough to accommodate our family and friends of 20. The beach is about 8 minutes walk. The kids enjoyed the pool very much. If you are in the area you must try Melts ice cream. The house overall is in need of up grade. One bathroom upstairs has no shower head, we were told by management that its a bath and not a shower which made it very inconvenient for the adults using that specific one. House keeping needs to do a better job at cleaning, we had to call to get the shower curtain changed which was very dirty. Management was prompt in getting someone to the house to get it changed. House was very dusty with a moldy smell. There were multiple small roaches in the downstairs kitchen. Utensils that were used prior to our arrival were placed back in drawer and knife holder without being washed, very disgusting. Overall, house is not bad, management needs to supervise closely to ensure cleanliness and upgrading when needed

Stay far away! Not worth it. The garbage rules are garbage...

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We showed up on a Sunday, trash containers were full from either the previous rental or owners. I put out their trash on the curb on Monday night before generating a full bag myself. I'm then not allowed to use the trash can for the rest of the trip because we are leaving on the following Sunday and this rental does not allow any trash to be left on the premises otherwise I'm charged $200 to $300. Furthermore, North Myrtle Beach offers short-term rental trash pickup, but either the owner nor the rental agency opted to pay for that. So then for a house that could potentially hold 16 people I'm running trash to the local dump everyday. And guess what? They aren't open on Sunday morning so then I have to deal with how to get all the trash that we generate while cleaning up the house. If I wanted a campground experience I would have been at a campground. This rental costs way too much to deal with that. I've stayed at dozens of places in Myrtle Beach and this was by far one of the worst for my family reunion. We will never stay here again and nor will I ever recommend it.Otherwise the house was really missing polish, water pressure on showers were bad, remotes with the Roku situation were pretty bad. For two kitchens they are very poorly stocked. Pots and pans are cheap, warped and sparse. No ice makers in either fridge. Roku remotes, if they worked sometimes operated two TVs at once. Thank God I brought a fire stick.The ad says over 5,000 square feet and I can promise you there are actually probably including the pool area, I would say maybe 2800 ft tops. Borderline false advertising. Check-in checkout process is about as antiquated and weird as you can get.Just steer clear the polish and value isn't there.

Another Successful Family Thanksgiving!

Perfect home for a family Vacation

The house was very clean, well maintenance inside and outside. There was plenty of room to spread out. Both kitchens was well stocked with everything you needed. There was enough towels for everyone, great collection of games, floats for the pool, sitting chairs, beach toys and grills. We spent everyday at the pool only took breaks to go to the beach. The house was perfect! A short drive to lots of restaurants, mini golf, and other shopping centers close by. Excellent customer service from the management company.
