The Silver Mountain Executive Lodge - #18
~ Sleeps up to 12 (6 Queen beds, leather queen-size pull-out sofa bed)
~ 4 Bedrooms, 3.5 Bathrooms.
Information: There are two bedrooms downstairs with one queen bed in one room and two queen beds in the other. On the main floor, we have a master bedroom with a queen bed. Lastly, we have the loft room with two queen beds. A total of 4 bedrooms with 6 queen beds. We also have a pull-out full bed in the downstairs area. We have portable air conditioner units in the living room, upstairs, and in the master bedroom.
~ Master Suite on Main Level with Jacuzzi tub in master bathroom.
No Hot Tub or pool.
A large Kitchen and dining area includes pots, pans, dishes, a coffee pot, a toaster, a microwave, a stove, a refrigerator, a freezer, and a dishwasher.
-3 Decks, Private fire pit area. Outdoor Charcoal Grill, Benches, and patio sets available.
~ Cabin Décor of Prints, Buffalo Head, and many updates throughout this fabulous Real Log Lodge home.
~ Pool Table, Dry Bar Area, fireplaces, 2-42″ TVs with satellite, TV in master bedroom, TV in upstairs bedroom.
~ This is an Incredible 5,000+ square foot, Beautiful Real Log Lodge home in the Beautiful Black Hills.
~ Driveway paved and trailer parking is available.
~ Limited Housekeeping.
-We are updating to Starlink Wi-Fi in the spring of 2025.
-No pets allowed.
-Located right on Hwy 16 - 13315 S Hwy 16, Rapid City, SD. 57702
~ Please note: Due to septic/well systems, no more than 12 people can be in the cabin at once. This is not a large meeting facility. A pavilion is provided for the larger gathering area.
- We are not a 24/7 facility, so call if you have questions during your stay.
~ 3-night minimum stay required for the Silver Mountain Executive Lodge.
85th Official Rally Week (Aug 3, 2025 – Aug 10, 2025): A 5-night minimum stay is required for these dates. We are family-owned and operated.

Perfect location for a large family

This was a perfect space for our large family to enjoy on our vacation. The home was beautifully decorated with a cabin feel. The location was convenient to multiple areas including Mount Rushmore, Keystone, and Custer State Park just to name a few. The owners were very responsive and helpful! We highly recommend and would stay again.

Family vacation

Beautiful property but central air would be nice. Location was good but such busy road with no turn lane was dangerous. Kitchen well stocked with dishes etc.

Black Hills lodge

The lodge itself was exactly as advertised. It would not have changed our plans since this lodge was the only facility around that could accommodate our large family, but full disclosure, as has been mentioned in other reviews, it is unfortunate that the lodge is so close to the highway. The highway noise certainly detracts from the overall enjoyment of such a wonderful property.

Black Hills trip

This property is very nice and is in a great location. The only thing that was bothersome was the sound of the cars on the highway.

Nice environment

We visited during Thanksgiving break, the cabin was well cleaned & we enjoyed the environment, since it was off season it was peaceful around us. We visited Rapid City, Deadwood, and a couple other towns. We liked it that the location was central enough for us.

Cozy Log Cabin Family Retreat

Our family had a wonderful holiday gathering in this beautiful log home. It was centrally located to see all the local sites but perfect just to stay in and stay cozy warm playing games & eating good food. Our teens loved the pool table and the fire pit was perfect to be outside for a cold snowy winter New Year’s Eve celebration. It would’ve been nice to have access to a washer & dryer but Val was very accommodating and refreshed our towels. Thank you for the excellent experience and family memories!!!!

Highly recommend!

This cabin far exceeded our expectations. It was 3 floors with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the 9 of us. Check in and check out was super smooth. It was centrally located to everything we did and easy to find on the Highway. It was clear that all linens were fresh and clean because they were packaged in plastic. Getting to wake up early and see deer while sitting on the patio was a huge bonus.

Beautiful and Clean South Dakota Getaway

The property was beautiful. Val was so nice to work with. The pictures are accurate! The view on the back of the property is great along with the hiking trail. There was air conditioning when we went. There is ice and firewood if you need any as well. It was also centrally located between Keystone and Rapid City. I could sleep knowing the property was clean. The WiFi worked just fine for us. I didn’t get great cell reception (not to do with the property at all), but it was great escaping without cell service. There was enough space and we were fine not leaving the property as it felt like a vacation staying there to relax and take in the scenery. Towels were provided to us. Overall, I highly recommend this house for the perfect South Dakota getaway!

Beautifully decorated and spacious for a large family.

We traveled to SD for our sons wedding; which was being held at Prairie Berry Winery. The close proximity was great. The house is nicely decorated and spacious for a large family. Biggest disappointment was they did not have a washing machine that we desperately needed to use. We assumed a house that large and paying that much money that w would have access. When asking about our o, we were told it was due to COVID and that I could travel down the street and use a laundromat. There was also a lack of cooking sheets -and when asked if they could me locate one - I was told to go to Walmart. They reported that other renters throw away there stuff. I believe they should be checking their stock on a regular basis. When paying over $3000 for our stay , I would have expected better customer service. House - Great Customer service - fair/ poor Location - fair ( right on the road )

Are stay was great. Easy to get to any area of the hills with our atv/utvs house was beautiful and well thought out. Big trailer parking was a bit tight but we made it work. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks.

Exactly what we needed!

Communication with the manager was easy! From reading the previous reviews and agreements, I knew exactly what extra items I would want to bring. The space and open floor plan we’re great so we didn’t feel like we were on top of one another. Will definitely consider this cabin again!

Great property with plenty of room. Val was great to work with and was accessible. Only gripe was the traffic. Location is off highway (65 mph) and is audible. Otherwise great stay.

Perfect Family Gathering Place!

We stayed with a party of 12 (6 adults and 6 children) and the executive lodge had everything we needed to make for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and the sleeping arrangements worked out well for our group. We enjoyed using the kitchen to make dinner and the fire pit in the evenings. The kids all loved exploring the nature area behind the lodge. Everything was clean and the check in/check out process was easy. The only slight issue that we had was that the WiFi wasn’t working all that well so getting a signal for service was a bit difficult. We let the property manager know and she immediately said she would look into it and thanked us for letting her know. Other than that though, our stay was wonderful. Perfect house for a family gathering and we left with many great memories!

Beautiful house with plenty of room for eight. No central air but it does have window units.

Everything went extremely well. Val was very nice to work with. We arrived later than expected and she worked with us make arrangements to get in the house. This is truly a nice home and we loved it!

Excellent comfortable property

We had a 2 family get away in the hills and this log cabin was perfect for the 11 of us. The cabin was right off the highway so easy access to Hill City and Mt Rushmore.

Perfect Location

Our family absolutely loved our stay for fall break. The cabin was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The location was convenient to Rapid City and Mt. Rushmore. Val was great to work with!
