Set on 2.5 acres, enjoy stunning views and sharing the large yard with moose & sandhill cranes. Meticulously remodeled, everything is brand new! Just 10 minutes from town's art galleries and eateries, & from charter fishing, wildlife tours & the myriad activities our wonderful town has to offer. If you feel energetic, the house is right on the bike path so you can cycle or walk all the way to town. Also, it is just a minute's walk to a popular restaurant. This lovely, spacious home has 6 light airy bedrooms. The top level rooms have twin beds that can be made into kings on request and these all have en suite bath. The two south bedrooms have full sliding doors leading to balconies. One of the lower level bedrooms has en suite bath; the other two have their own private bathrooms - no-one needs to share! Two of these have direct access to the yard - sit outside your room with your morning coffee. Both levels have full kitchens, dining & living rooms - 2 families could have their own level yet be together, linked by a stairway.

Beautiful views and spacious home.

Great home. Very spacious for our large family. Very well stocked. Communication was wonderful. No issues at all. The house was perfect ( and I’m picky 😀).

Great Place with a View

Love the house. Lots of bedrooms and bathrooms 2 Kitchens and 2 living rooms. Great for a family gathering! The View is Gorgeous! It is breathtaking! Loved this place would definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful Family Accomodations

This home offers everything you need for your home away from home. The 4 bedroom suites, 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms offer spacious room for quality gathering. We definitely would recommend this home and hope to be back again. It was the perfect ending to our son's wedding week. Thank you Victoria for clean, guiet and spacious accommodations.

Lovely place & location.

We had a group of 12 all family members. The house is extremely clean and layout was awesome. 3 large rooms with king beds on the main floor and down stairs 3 more bedrooms with one having a twin bed and two rooms with queen beds….lots of bathrooms. We enjoyed cooking our fresh caught fish in the large kitchen. The view is spectacular of water & mountains. One person had to sleep on a couch. We needed another set of sheets/blanket for him but we travel with small blankets snd just made do. We never ask for any extra linens but it is a suggestion. I would definitely stay here again…just longer.

Spectacular Views & Plenty of Room

Our “Destination Wedding” location. We were staying for 4 nights and had to add an extra night onto the beginning of our reservation; this was not a problem with the owner, Victoria, she was very accommodating. There was enough room for all of our friends and family members. Homer Spit was an exceptional added treat, delicious food and shopping.

Review

We loved it! This house was custom designed for multiple familes, three master bedrooms with king beds and private baths. The extra kitchen downstairs was icing on the cake and three single bedrooms with three more baths downstairs as well. All with a killer view. We breifly met the owner and she is a doll. Victoria is very personable,knowledgeable and she looks after things. We are already discussing our next trip to Homer in the Northstar "Retreat"

Great Location, Fantastic Views

We were three couples. Everyone had their own Master. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils, coffee and a host of condiments. When we reported that a can opener was worn out we had a brand new one delivered that same day. Very convenient to the spit, the store etc assuming you had a car. All five stars.

Great place to stay!!

The North Star House is perfect for a large group. The house is clean & comfortable, has beautiful views of the bay, and is well furnished. The host responded quickly to our messages & was very helpful when a problem occurred with VRBO in regards to our booking. We’ll definitely stay here again when there are six or more in our group.

Lovely and very roomy house. The beds were comfortable and it was very nice having our own bathrooms. Location was awesome and highly recommend this house for large parties.

Home in Homer

Large group is no problem here! Beds and pillows super comfy, plenty of bathrooms, well stocked kitchen, and very responsive host. Living room/dining room seating plentiful, but could be more comfortable. Big deck with killer views! Would absolutely book again.

Beautiful home!

This house is fantastic, we had both floors and all rooms for our stay. Everyone had their own bathroom, downstairs had multiple entrances and easy parking. Two separate kitchens was great! With 10 of us staying it was nice not to step on anyone else’s toes. The bedrooms were all very comfortable, bathrooms are large with plenty of space. Sad I didn’t get to use the soaking tub, next time for sure!

Perfect place to host our wedding

It was perfect for what we needed. There were 10 of us, 5 couples staying in the house, and there were plenty of rooms, beds, bathrooms, for everyone to have their own space and plenty of room to all come together in a communal area. The backyard is really nice and the view is stunning. We hosted our wedding here and the pictures are so beautiful I couldn't have asked for a better place. The only issue is the trash situation, we were told to take it to the spit to dump in the dumpsters there, but that's generally illegal and we were yelled at when we went to do it, and the dump was closed on Sunday when we left - so maybe could figure out a better trash situation. Otherwise it was perfect - clean, comfy, and plenty of space for everyone

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!

We are a group of 8 professionals in the insurance defense industry (construction defect claims) and we "get away" every two years for an amazing fishing trip on Kenia/Kasiloff and out of Homer. We all also love to cook, BBQ and relax over adult beverages after our outings. The North Star had absolutely everything we needed and more!!! The hosts made this a breeze and could not have been more accommodating. Best house we have had the pleasure! We will be back!!! 💗🎣🐟‼️ Thank you much, Victoria!!!

Memories Made Alaska Vacation 2022

Loved this VRBO..family of 10 ages 23 to 75. Beautiful view and close to Homer. They even had real peonies (my favorite) in the dining area. Well stocked and plenty of room for everybody…especially loved all the bathrooms.

Stunning views

Exceptionally comfortable, well thought out home. Has everything you need. Beautiful views, can see 3 glaciers right outside your back door. Check in and communication was great. Can’t think of enough good things to say. Only downside worth mentioning is there are no blackout curtains so bring your eye masks to sleep.

College Reunion trip

When you pull up to The North Star, it is an unassuming place, but when you walk in and see all the rooms, the space, and the views, you are overjoyed. Loved all the comfy beds, clean bathrooms and 2 kitchens! The host, Victoria, was easy to work with.
