Rhyd Angharad Barns

A lovely property with amazing views. There were five adults and a one year old baby in our party. There is a small shower room but a shower in the main bathroom would have been helpful. The garden is not really toddler friendly. Plus there are only two loungers, without cushions. There is a large, totally impractical concrete table in the garden and the bar b que was too dirty to use. However the barn itself is well presented, the kitchen/dining area is lovely and the beds comfortable. Taking everything into consideration, we would stay again.

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed our stay here as a family of mum, dad, teens and grandparents. The views were out of this world and we spent many evenings just gazing out at the fields and bays. The house was well laid out with plenty of space. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the linen was good quality. The house has been criticised in other reviews for being ‘tired’ but I think it had a rustic vibe in keeping with the barn conversion. I liked the style. There were, however, a lot of cobwebs and the shower could do with a regrout. I also think there should be two showers. We loved the grounds which were perfect for our dogs and playing ball games with the kids. We also enjoyed many BBQs and dining outdoors. We felt very safe there. Turning left out of the gate took us on a beautiful walk with fantastic views of the bays. The walk down to the beach was lovely and our girls enjoyed surfing the waves. The Wave Crest cafe was lovely and the dogs particularly loved the doggy ice cream. We were going to visit The Lobster Pot but there were so many bad reviews online that we avoided it. We could, however, highly recommend Catch 22 in Valley and The Sea Shanty at Trearddur Bay. We also had reasonable experiences at The Valley Hotel and The Trearddur Bay Hotel. We did an online shop with Asda the first weekend because the shops were quite far out. I would recommend this, however, they couldn’t find us in the first attempt. We rang them and the delivery was rerouted for the evening. You may want to check a few details in the house folder. The Wi-Fi password was incorrect (we got it from the router) and the contact number was the doctors’ surgery. All in all, we had a lovely time. It was very chilled out and relaxing. Thank you for our stay.
