Very nice and scenic. Served it's purpose for an overnight stay. We could have used some enticing amenities if we were staying longer - like the beach, campfire ring.

Very beautiful sunset over da Mississippi! She is serious bout da bugs, dont leave a car window dow an inch. No bugs in house. House was clean. Perfect fer and my dog! I'd Bring a fishing pole next time. Thank you Becca!

Nice cabin, worthy of a stay of a 2 or more days. Grateful for the opportunity to stay there and would like to visit it again.

Perfect Hide-Away!

We loved the remoteness and being on the Mississippi River! They have a fire pit right on the beach, where we watched the sun set. I highly recommend!

The view from the cabin was exceptional! The sunsets were amazing! My kids loved everything about staying there. The beach is close and enjoyable. It felt similar to camping, but with more conveniences. Our only complaints were that it was extra warm (there were air conditioning units to help, they just couldn't keep up) and the master bed was extremely squeaky.

River Front Cabin

Our stay was just perfect for us. The view of the river and the area , the sunset across the Mississippi River was beautiful. I recommend staying here. It’s very quiet.

Our stay was great! We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place for what we were wanting. It helped to make our silver anniversary just wonderful!

It's a cabin on the Mississippi.Beautiful view.Attentive host! ( Rebecca answered my messages immediately.Peaceful Fire ring on the beach.We caught some decent bassLiterally everything we wanted.Can't wait to go back

Beautiful view, very roomy, but everything was falling apart, there were ants everywhere, the ACs were moldy and the beach was covered in trash. The deck was slimy and slippery.

Cabin

Wasn’t able to make it to the cabin due to weather conditions on my end, but I was able to get in contact with the owner very easy! She responded very quickly and was very understanding! The pictures looked wonderful and the property looked beautiful from the pictures!

Cabin by the river

Quiet location. No curtains on the windows. AC unit was not keeping up with the heat of the day. Bed was comfortable.

I don't like to block my view. The bedroom is curtained and the bathroom window is not see through. On one of the hottest days of the year the air conditioner will struggle.

Was absolutely perfect for what we needed for the night! Although the outside was pretty inaccessible due to tons of huge spiders and webs and it didn’t look like it is kept up with, the inside was clean and roomy and had every need we could have needed! The ac units were molded (like black mold) they did blow cold air that helped us as we slept!Overall I’d recommend this for people who like the camping vibe def! But I could def see potential for a more glamping vibe! Rebecca was kind and fast with responding! Thanks again!

This is a beautiful little cabin, right on the river with a nice little beach. The views were wonderful. Don't let the two bad reviews scare you off, I found it to be very clean inside and the deck was nice. Would be great for a family to stay for a few days. I enjoyed having a bonfire by the river and looking at the stars. The host's communication was kind and quick.Coffee was provided and the pots, pans and dishes were nice.I do want to mention one thing you might want to know. I had to sleep at an angle on the bed because I couldn't stretch my legs out all the way. I'm 6'4 so this happens to me often. It won't be an issue for most people! I will stay here again if I can when I'm working in the area.

My kids loved how quaint this cabin was. Much of the beach was underwater, but that was okay. It was very clean and had a nice feel about it. I appreciated having the kitchen as there are not a lot of places to eat in Nauvoo. We knew this and got groceries ahead of time. The deposit is collected from the company up front, and we booked many months in advance, so I was paying interest on the deposit, so I would just be aware of that.

Cabin on the Farm

We had a wonderful time. We did a lot of exploring in Shannon County. The cabin couldn't have been nicer. The bed was comfy. I loved listening to the frogs at night. It's peaceful and very private. The internet worked ok, but it sometimes took awhile to load. We had no cell signal. We have US Cellular. Andrew and Anisha we're very responsive to our needs. The property is a bit out of the way. I would suggest once you're there to limit your travels.

No parking at bottom of drive as stated in listing. Air was turned off when I arrived. Took hours for it to get to 75 degrees with 2 beat up AC units running on high. Outdoor light on the driveway side doesn’t work. Top of the driveway was a little muddy from rain and lack of rock. Strong mildew odor the next day after AC units had been running.Limited silverware. Fridge was nice and cold. Shower had hot and cold water. No curtains on the windows except by the large bed. It gets very hot in the cabin during the day because of all the sunlight . Wish they would add some curtains to help with that/ and privacy. Shower needs scrubbed moldy around the edges and hair in it. Overall it wasn’t cleaned well, just dusty sticky surfaces and cobwebs. The sheets were clean and there were clean towels in a dirty bin on the bathroom floor. Didn’t get a chance to sit outside because there are a ton of wasps that like to go between the screen and main doors. Several found their way inside. If this had been a hotel I would have asked for a different room that was clean with working air. Since the main air unit trips the breaker I doubt it runs during cold time to heat the cabin. The location is nice and I enjoyed the beach. With a little work this would be a super amazing place to stay and I would stay again, but would like to see new heating/ cooling spray for the ants in the kitchen, and a little better cleaning. Host was pretty quick to answer when I reached out.

Guest didn't reach out to ask about parking which is at the bottom of the hill as stated in guide with description. Guest did not read house guide and ran the heater for the duration of their stay which made the cabin hotter than normal. It is stated in the listing that no curtains are used so the view isn't blocked. Due to location there are no privacy issues. As stated in listing you will see bugs during your stay as this is more of a glamping experience. **Guest did not read listing description. Did not read house manual. And did not contact host for these issues.

Driving up the road, it looks beautiful. We were excited until we saw the property and we were in shock. It was filthy, covered in webs, garbage under the deck and some of the supports were starting to break. There's an outhouse in the backyard that looks to haven't been used in 50 years so i don't know why it hasn't been removed.There's a pile of 5years worth of leaves that are pressed up against the building. Roof has damage, probably from fallen branches. Go inside and everything was dirty, rusty, missing cabinets doors. All the plates and silverware was dirty, same goes for the stove top. We were supposed to stay 2 nights, we only stayed 1 and we left early the next morning. The pictures are a lie. Add 10 years of wear and tear to everything. I do not recommend because if the supports aren't repaired, someone will get hurt.
