Our stay in the red cottage was lovely and the listing is exactly as advertised. It's in a great location where you really get a slice of Maine living. We could smell the ocean when we stepped out the door! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Tenants Harbor, This cottage is a great place to unplug and relax.

Excellent place

Very nice and quiet place for short get away from all routine in daily basis, good service and affordable! I recommend you to stay here! Thank you Fred and Judith Bowen. My family and I will definitely come back if we visit Maine again!

Relaxing

There are beautiful views right out the front window. Judith and Fred are just lovely people. If I would live anywhere in Maine it would be in Port Clyde. We had a wonderful visit. I would highly recommend staying at the Red Cottage!

Perfect Maine cottage

Judy’s Red Cottage is the perfect old fashioned Maine vacation cottage! Our family of 6 had a wonderful week here, making great memories on the beach and nearby adorable towns. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, with plenty of games and books for rainy days. The cottage is exactly as described, and we wouldn’t change a thing about it. Already looking forward to coming back next summer!

It felt like camping!

There was plenty of room for my husband, my friend and me to spread out in a three bedroom cottage. We loved the porch with the ocean view. The Bowens were very helpful in directing us to fresh caught lobster and the cottage was well supplied with equipment to cook said lobsters. The weather was perfect for the entire week. Location was woodsy so we were plagued with mosquitoes, especially at sunset when we were eating our lobsters out on the porch.

Amazing experience

wonderful cottage surounded by trees and with amazing views to the see. Perfect for disconnect in a peaceful area. The inside is decorated very nice, with a Lot of details and books and three confy rooms. During the Cold nights you can meet each other in the living room around the fireplace!. Nearby candem, Marshall lighthouse and acadia national Park. Judy and fred are really Lovely hosts, they helped us to find the cottage, gave us info about the area and are close enough in case you need something. I hope to come Back soon and of course I Recomend the place to everybody.

Time away

3 Bedroom cabin with amenities. Nice area with lighthouses and museums. Very quiet at night

Relaxing and beautiful

The cottage is sweet and cozy. Judy and Fred are amazing. The view of the harbor is incredible. Drift Inn beach is great. Marshall point lighthouse is lovely. Port Clyde Christian Church is awesome. The area is full of great people and things to do for an adventurous, outdoorsy family. We rented a kayak and went out to High Island. Everything was great, and Judy and Fred are truly stellar hosts.

An authentic Maine cottage Experience

Staying in the red cottage was a delight! The view of the harbor is spectacular. This is a way to experience a Maine summer the way it used to be. We loved the outdoor spaces, the charming children’s rooms, the incredible collection of books. A great space and location for friends and family. Very grateful we found it. Judy and Fred could not have been more helpful.

Perfect spot for exploring the mid-coast

We loved our stay at the Red Cottage, rustic and comfortable, as was our queen bed! We slept so well. It really is a great location for going out to one of the islands or the Camden Hills or the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland. The view of the water from the porch and the fire pit gave me such pleasure.

Perfect cottage.

We could’ve stayed in this little cottage for weeks. Felt at home immediately. Judy and Frank were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome and we really appreciated how seriously they are taking cleanliness during the pandemic. Everything was just right from the idyllic ocean views through the living room picture window to the fire pit to the walls of books for any indoor days. We hope to come back someday soon.

Great cottage, great location

Cottage very comfortable and had everything we needed. Very near the water. Area is quiet and very nice. Great general store close by. Owners very responsive and cordial. Super nice all around, we hope to return.

Cozy cottage and area

Great location and place to enjoy that area of mid-coast Maine. Weather - cool and damp on several days - didn't keep us from enjoying the towns and lighthouses and villages, etc.

Didn't want to leave!

Such a great spot to stay. Views of the ocean, a short walk to a cute general store and Harbor views. Cabin was filled with books to read and was really spacious for sleeping.

A beautiful view and well maintained property

We stayed at the little red cottage over Memorial Day weekend while we were in Tenants Harbor for a family wedding. The cottage is surprisingly roomy and very clean. And what a view! We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again if our travels bring us back up that way.

Everything you dream Maine can be

Lovely family cottage with ocean views nestled in a woodsy neighborhood. What we most loved was bring able to easily access the beaches and lighthouses and antique shops (and authentic lobster places!), without having the tourist summer maine experience. We felt a part of a friendly community yet on a peaceful retreat. Wonderful host that made us feel like it was truly our house for our stay. We cant wait to come back. Months later and our 3 year old keeps asking when we're going to the "red house".

Perfect Summer Getaway!

This charming cottage provided the perfect summer getaway for me and my family. We enjoyed the quiet wooded setting, ocean views, blueberry patch, walks along the rocky coast, nearby beaches, lighthouses, seeing lobstermen, fog, sounds of buoys, exploring for seashells, quaint villages and shops, beautiful and friendly neighborhood, and lobster! The cottage was bright, clean, and spacious, and had everything we needed, from a well-equipped kitchen, to comfortable beds, tons of books, puzzles and games, beach chairs, internet access, outdoor spigot for sandy toes, etc. We loved the cozy evenings by the fire and wonderful hospitality. This spot is truly a treasure!
