Dear Joe, thank you for your kind feedback. I am very happy to know that you enjoyed your stay in Barcelona and in our apartment. The building next to ours is getting renovated and at the moment they are doing demolition work which can be quite noisy. Luckily our apartment is located on the exact opposite side with many walls in between so that we still hear the work being done but not as loud as the apartments that share a wall with the neighbor building. In a week from now, they will be done with the noisy work. The TV in the apartment only receives local Spanish Channels (about 50 channels), as advertised. But there is the possibility to switch to "original language" and watch documentaries or movies in English if this is the original language. My mistake for not having explained it to you. I felt very sorry when I heard that one of your family members slipped and fell in the staircase of our building. The doorman called me immediately. Thankfully nothing serious happened. I agree that everyone should walk carefully; down the stairs; everywhere. But I also like to mention that this was the first time in all these years that one of our guests fell down the stairs. Even if a neighbor told you that he also fell at some point in the past, this is certainly not something that happens frequently. However, as you already mentioned, there is an elevator in the building which works perfectly fine. It was a true pleasure dealing with you. Dear Claiborne, thank you for your kind feedback. Great to know that you and your family had a nice time in Barcelona. I am glad you took my suggestion and checked out the Chachitos tapas restaurant around the corner...certainly one of my favorits. The layout of the rooms has bee chosen on purpose. The two large single beds would not fit comfortably into the second bedroom. Instead of having smaller single beds we chose simply to switch rooms and put them into the master bedroom. If guests wish, we can put them together and prepare them as a double bed. The double bed in the second bedroom is not a king-size as you mentioned in your review but a queen size (just to avoid confusion). The new guests who arrived on your departure day called me on their first day saying that the AC is not cooling well. I had a technician checking it out who confirmed that the gas needed to be refilled. He did so and the AC is just working fine again. If you would have informed me during your stay we could have solved the issue a few days earlier. It was a real pleasure meeting you all.
