Reasonably Priced Family- Friendly Home, Sleeps 7

Ready for the 2022 Season, renovated in 2016. Need a little R&R or fun? Why not both? This property will give you just that as it is located in a quiet area among the trees in Ocean Pines, but is only 6 miles outside of Ocean City. Payments can be broken up into thirds.

Amenities include:
Just under 1200 sqft of room
- 3 bedrooms (2 rooms have queen sized beds and the 3rd has single over double bunk bed)
- 2 full bathrooms
- Open floor plan concept
- Fully equipped kitchen with 6 table seating
- Washer/Dryer
- Outdoor gas grill (will reimburse for Gas tank with proof if empty on arrival)
200 sqft screened porch on the front of the house. Room to have dinner or breakfast with a seating area.
- 6 Beach chairs/2 umbrellas
- 2 Nearby boat slips
- Cable TV/Internet and Wi-Fi
- 1 Beach Parking permit to the Ocean Pines Beach Club included with rental. You can buy pool passes either at pool location or Ocean Pines administration site for any of the 5 Ocean Pines Pools. The Ocean Pines Beach Club is located on the oceanfront between 49th & 50th street, Ocean City across from Secrets.
Address is 7 Gatehouse Trail, Ocean Pines, Md 21811. Key code to access the house will be emailed once final payment is received.

The place was nice, had enough room and was in a great location. A/C worked great and hot water was amazing. I know that seems dumb to comment on the water and A/C however I’ve been to places where they didn’t work so I like to point out that they worked great! It was stocked well with dishes, and other items that were very nice. Highly recommended! Thank you

Very clean and organized. All kitchenware imaginable was available. Bathrooms, bedrooms and kitchen were clean and roomy. Screened sunroom was a plus. Would definitely recommend! Family very munched enjoyed our stay. Would definitely rent again!

House was clean and in a great shady area. We enjoyed the screened in patio and location of the house. Grill was clean and usable. Somethings could use updating, but I think it was on point with the cost for the week.

Comfortable home

This home was welcoming and comfortable. We had plenty of room and everything was provided—utensils, pots and pans, dishes, etc. It is very conveniently located. I had some questions for the owner and James responded very quickly. I would recommend this home to anyone planning a trip to Ocean City.

Nice and relaxing

Property was exactly as described. Owner was easy to get a hold of. House is in a quiet section of Ocean Pines. Was well stocked with everything you need. A plus was all you need for a day at the beach. There was chairs,umbrellas and kids toys. Screen porch was also a nice touch.

Nice experience.

We love the location, access to everything close. Well equipped with everything we need. Nice welcome bag , folder with info was nice. On the downside, shower handle in rear bathroom fell off first day. Bought Allen wrenches and fixed it. Bathroom tub spout very loose, needs fixing. Nice tv’s and internet.

Need to hire a new cleaning company

I’m sorry to say that I wouldn’t rent Mary’s Cottage a second time. The house is in need of a thorough cleaning. The trash underneath the beds was appalling! Used plastic cups, dirty socks from another renter and just miscellaneous junk were discovered while looking for a missing earring. Oh, and lest I forget to mention the dog beds underneath each queen bed! Do not stay here in this “no pets allowed” home if you have pet allergies. One of the dresser drawers was full of pet hair! Hall bath is in need of an update. Looks as if dirt and cobwebs behind that door have been accumulating for a while. Towel bar was broken, which we notified James of upon arrival, and he responded that he hadn’t time to fix it with the busy rental calendar. So we had to go buy an over the door hook to hang our towels on. On a positive note, the kitchen was pretty well stocked with all that we needed and we enjoyed having coffee on the screened in porch in the mornings. Nice quiet and friendly neighborhood.

Hi Tammy, I am sorry the house was not up to standard as far as cleaning, we will take your advice and look for another cleaning company. I wish you had informed me when you first went into the house as I would have had the cleaning people go back. The house has a no pet policy, the beds must have been left by a previous tenant this year, obviously the cleaning people didn't look under the beds and inform me. I plan to update the Hall bath room this fall. As far as the towel rack is concerned I would be happy to reimburse for the cost of the over the door hook you had to purchase. Please email me and I can paypal you the money. James

The house was nicely cleaned, making it a comfortable stay. The host was quick to respond with any questions I had. It was a bonus having the beach parking pass and chairs. We would rent again.

Summary

The dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes very well. And we couldn’t get the dryer to stop beeping. Need a manual with it. Also there was a musty smell. It wasn’t totally clean but pretty good. Overall it was a nice place to stay. I would rent it again.

Excellent property but no cleaning

We arrived about 9:00 pm for check in. The house was absolutely filthy. With an hour after arriving my 1 year old grandson’s feet were black on the bottom and the tops since he crawls. The refrigerator was dirty so was the tile floor. We called the owner and he did call us back shortly thereafter but by the time he called to tell us someone could come in the morning we were already cleaning as we didn’t want our grandchildren in filth. We requested a refund on the cleaning sending photos of the filthy Lysol wipes and dirty bucket water but he refused. Hopefully they have changed cleaning services or are monitoring more closely if the “cleaners” even come.

Little to be desired

The cleaning left little to be desired. There were clothes left in drawers, beer cans in the bathroom, and food on the carpet. The vacuum was clogged with some sort of animal food and tons of hair. Communication with the property owner was great and he dealt with things quickly.

Perfect for family.

This is very close to the entrance of Ocean Pines and a minute to Rt. 90. The great room/kitchen area is large and comfortable. All the appliances and household/kitchen items were available. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it! (Just don't book on the week we want next summer!) lol
