Great property, plenty to do for the entire family in the area but still secluded and private. Kids had a blast just exploring the nearby trails and brook. The house had everything we needed for a getaway weekend, and the host provided plenty of info on the area. Will definitely visit again.

We had such a great stay. George was awesome, and the cabin was wonderful. Located in such a private, beautiful, relaxing space, but still close to everything. The cabin was super clean and didn’t give me “the ick” like some do. The outdoor shower was amazing! Our pups and family loved our stay- we can’t wait to come back.

We were sent very detailed information just after the rental which made us feel comfortable. The owner also was sure to offer information about local attractions and seems very invested in offering a great vacation for those who rent. If you are looking for a quiet place to unplug for recharging give this a look, you won’t regret it.

We had a wonderful 2 nights at Thistle Rock cabin. It’s conveniently located to the town of Jackson but you feel so secluded on Black Mountain. The cabin is immaculately clean and well stocked with everything you need. The host George is an amazing host. He answers all questions you have about the cabin and the surrounding area. He is a delightful person and we enjoyed talking to him about the wildlife and his love for the cabin and New Hampshire. You can spend half of a day just taking in the decor, the family mementos, the history books about the area and just how well built the cabin is. The wood stove is so toasty warm and heats the entire cabin and adds so much charm to staying at the cabin. We will definitely be staying at this cabin again in the future as we fell in love with New Hampshire, the mountain’s and the area especially in the fall with all the foliage. If you’re trying to decide if this cabin is for you… just know that it definitely IS and you will fall in love with the cabin and the host as well.

Veronica & Chris were a real pleasure to host. All boxes checked from excellent communication to flexibility, they went with the flow. Veronica is a stickler on cleanliness which she was pleased to find at Thistle Rock. And both Veronica & Chris left the cabin as they found it. In fact Christine my Caretaker wondered if anyone had been there. Just all around wonder people. If I could have I would have gone North and visited them. Just really Great Folks👍

We absolutely loved this charming, comfortable cottage. The whole car let out a cheer as we first arrived to find this beautiful home! We enjoyed all of the rustic design details, local history books, and fun items in the house. My son was excited to see a huge selection of movies on DVD. Wonderful place for kids. The house is a spacious and comfortable accommodation. The host, George, was exceptionally kind and provided all the helpful information to make our stay efficient and comfortable. It’s a lovely area in the summer, and would also be an exceptional place to come for a winter sport home base. This has clearly been a much-loved family getaway, and we’re happy to be able to share just a short weekend there, ourselves. We would look forward to returning some day.
