For future travelers: this is a traditional cabin built intentionally with open beam / tongue and groove wood flooring between the two floors. Many find this craftsman style aesthetic and any noise referenced was within the single party renting the stand alone cabin. The listing for the cabin describes the kitchen as a “kitchenette” and guests who do prep meals report positively that it has all the amenities they need.

I'm sorry this negatively affected your stay and appreciate you sharing this feedback. Many of our guests arrive on the 8pm Seattle to Anchorage flight. After getting bags and a rental car, 11 pm can be a standard check in time. I did know in advance they would be arriving at that hour and will make a point in the future to alert guests checking in after 10 pm to be quiet and courteous of others. 10 pm is noted in our listing as the start of quiet hours, but sometimes the midnight sun of summer can lull visitors into feeling like its earlier than it is...Apologies again and thank for including our lodging in your AK plans.
