Private guest cottage with kitchenette, living and dining area, bathroom and mountain viewing deck on first floor. Three bedrooms : one queen, one with two twins, and a third downstairs with a full bed. Additional queen futon in living area. Exceptional views of Denali, the peaks of the Alaska Range and the lush Susitna Valley from the private deck.
Private parking area in front of the cottage. Wifi, direct TV, complimentary coffee, tea, and condiments. Enjoy 20 acres of wooded boreal forest in this wilderness setting while being 5 miles from the Talkeetna townsite with restaurants, boat launch and scenic flight tour airport.

This cute cabin in the middle of the woods with a view of the Alaskan mountain range (includes Denali) is perfect! When we come back to Talkeetna we will try to book this place first. Thank you for the hospitality!

This cabin did not disappoint! It was clean and cozy, and I don't think we could have found a better place to watch the sunset behind the Alaskan Ridge if we had tried. Quiet and secluded, it was a gem! Wish we could have stayed longer.

The property had a few problems while staying - power cut with no advice although the host has accepted a suggestion to put information in the property book for arriving guests. The TV required the host to resolve access.The kitchenette was very small and basic although was described as a kitchenette.

Thanks again for the feedback - we appreciate you taking the time to review. Regarding power outage: As discussed previously in communications about the power outage, it was an area wide service outage and out of our control. We were able to provide swift guidance with updates from the utility confirming the duration would be minimal. We have added power outage directives to the cabin info file for future guests. Regarding TV assistance: after some sleuthing, resolved with a battery change to the remote. Thank you for including our lodging in your AK plans.

Unfortunately we had rain from check in to check out, so we didn’t get to experience the beautiful view many prior guests have talked about. The cabin was ok for one night, it was clean and we had excellent communication with the host. The cons were the super uncomfortable furniture ( the futon was like sitting on a rock), the mattresses are not ok, we slept in the tiny bedroom downstairs and the mattress creaked at any tiny movement. The pillows all need to be thrown away. This is a cute place that needs some TLC. Doesn’t take much to create comfort, we know as we are landlords. People need comfortable places to sleep and sit, beyond that rustic is just fine!

Thanks for taking the time to review and share your feedback. Glad you found the cabin clean and our communication helpful - sorry the weather didn’t cooperate better for views from the cabin. Our listing clearly highlights the traditional Alaskan cabin experience we are offering. The hand crafted cabins include simple, utilitarian furnishings which meet the comfort needs of the majority of our travelers. Regarding the lower level bed issues you noted : 1) creaking: the mattress is brand new so not the culprit. Upon inspection, the box spring seemed to be the source so we have replaced that as well as the frame. Very helpful feedback! 2.) pillows - difficult to ascertain your specific complaint but we’ll take a look and replace if needed. Thanks again for including our lodging in your plans.

Amazing views, great accommodations and wonderful host

The Denali views alone would give this place a 5 star review, but the adorable cabin, comfortable beds and super helpful host made this stay even better. Would definitely stay again.

Cozy and quaint, and super quiet cabin. Peaceful and relaxing, although the furniture was not too comfy. Place was clean and homey. I would stay again!!

What a view! We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It has a beautiful view in the back. Check in was easy and communication with the owner was great. Cottage is in a good location not far from town.

Incredible views of the Mount McKinley mountain range

Popped in late for a quick overnight stay and we’re not at all disappointed. The views are spectacular and the accommodations are acceptable. I would recommend this property as more than satisfactory, especially for the price you pay.
