Beautiful and newly constructed in 2017, our two-story treetop cabin is a perfect up-north getaway. With an open floor plan, the main level features a great room/kitchen/living room and a fireplace for the chilly nights. The elevated porch offers treetop views of the woods and wildlife. Great place

Very comfortable place to stay. We picked this property due to the proximity to our favorite bike trails. We also enjoyed how easy it was to walk the neighborhood.

Great cabin, close to everything

My wife and our 19 year old autistic son came up with me. We rented a side by side and went trail riding with some friends from the area. Great location in a private neighborhood. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for something low key.

Great homebase for lake trip!

We had a wonderful time staying at the treehouse while in Crosslake. Access to the Community Center was perfect for our group of teens who used the courts, field and weight room. The beds were heavenly! I loved the crisp AC and the kitchen was well stocked. I'd highly recommend this property.

Perfect retreat

The property is exactly as shown- very clean and well maintained. The area is peaceful, and a short drive to town. We spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying nature, peace and quiet. It was the perfect couples retreat and would be great for a family stay as well. Highly recommended staying here! We will definitely be back!

Great Tree House adventure

The only problem we had was finding the place. GPS does NOT get to the this well-hidden spot. We had to stop and ask someone at a church after GPS saying we had arrived. The Tree House is awesome once you find it.

Would recommend and rent again

We stayed in the area for a family reunion. Location was great as other family were just down the road. Place was very clean, organized, and furnished so easily met our needs. With the elevated cabin/treehouse feel it privided a unique vibe which we really enjoyed. It easily met our needs and i would stay again when in the area .

WOW!

The treetop is exactly as advertised. Great view, wildlife, fire pit, A/C, beautiful and well kept property. Highly recommend to anyone who needs a break in a wonderful setting. Darrin is an excellent host who checked in with us to see how we were doing. Everything was perfect. We will be going back soon.

Our mini-moon

My new husband and I were looking for a relaxing getaway after a whirlwind of excitement post-wedding. This was just what we needed! We both love camping, and enjoy being outdoors, but didn't want all the "work" that comes with camping. This turn-key stay in the woods was perfect for us to unwind. Thank you for being a great host - we had everything we needed, and our time was completely stress-free!

Little gem in the tree tops!

We surprised our kids with a quick weekend away. The tree top cabin is amazing! The decorating was beautiful, beds were super comfy, it had all the kitchen utensils you could need, and the views were great! It was so peaceful to wake up and have coffee by the fire! Given the weather wasn’t great, it was truly a perfect spot to hunker down and watch Mn sports, play games and just enjoy time with each other away from the madness. Thank you for sharing it with us! We will be back!

Weekend Getaway

Highly recommend this place! Beautiful treehouse, great location and deer right out the cabin each morning and night! Darrin was great to work with and quick to respond! We will be back for sure.

Perfect Fall Destination for this Family of Five!

We greatly enjoyed our time in the Treetop Escape! All pictures and description were exactly accurate. I particularly appreciated all the nighttime lighting, especially around the staircase. We had everything we needed to cook a variety of meals. There was also lots of wood and kindling for fires and multiple outdoor seating options. We were within minutes of multiple attractions and restaurant options. Host was quick to respond to every question and even checked in midstay to see how things were going. Even though we were right in town and you could hear some traffic noise you truly felt like you were in the woods and saw lots of wildlife. Our favorite spots were on the deck and around the firepit. The wifi signal was great for our teens and the smart TV's were a nice option for our family movie night . We will definitely be booking again next time we plan a trip to the area!

Excellent Tree Top property!!!!

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute of our getaway to the Crosslake TreeTop Village. We spent most of our time on the front deck just enjoying the warm fall sunshine and changing colors of the leaves. A few deer came by to visit and walk up the driveway. There was everything that we needed for an enjoyable stay, full-sized fridge, stove/oven, all the kitchen utensils, plates and silverware. The bathroom was clean and also had everything we needed. The interior was amazing with all the wood floors, walls and ceilings. Furniture was comfortable and fireplace came in handy on the cool mornings and evenings. The location was perfect as well and close to many restaurants and groceries/gas/liquor, etc… Darrin Stuhr our VRBO host was very responsive to messages as well!! We’ll certainly be back!!! We are the Stuhrs. We purchased the property from the neighboring Kochs in 2020. The property was built by local builder, Wes Hanson. The property is nestled in 4 acres of woods that was given to the Koch children by their grandfather. The grandchildren built treehouse in the woods and those memories lived out years later in beautifully designed "treetop" cabins in the heart of Crosslake. We hope you enjoy the cabin as much as we do.
