Fantastic water front property on all sports and private Ackerson Lake. Home offers central air, dock, sandy frontage. Enjoy our swimming toys and contact us to discuss possible availability of our pontoon boat or plan to bring your own boat or jet skis. Extremely clean home offers everything you need for lake enjoyment! Home is well maintained with main level master bedroom and 4 bedrooms upstairs. Plenty of room to accommodate your family and friends. Open floor plan flows well and is perfect for entertaining. 1 1/2 bathrooms on the main level for easy access as well as a washer and dryer on the main level. Large kitchen with appliances and kitchenware included. This summer home is very close to several golf courses, trap shooting, wineries and the Binder Park Zoo. Start enjoying all the lake has to offer! Very clean water, great fishing, and perfect for relaxing time with family or friends. Located just minutes away from Jackson and a short drive to Brooklyn, or Ann Arbor.

Short Family Vacation

My family (along with parents), enjoyed 5 nights at the home. It was large enough for everyone to have their own space. Everything you may need is in the home. Having the boat to use was a nice bonus, along with the floating lake toys. We were literally there to live on the lake as much as possible - fish, float, sun and relax.

Great Experience

All information in listing was accurate. Home was very well stocked and perfectly clean. The owner and neighbor were both very helpful in answering questions. I would highly recommend this property. The only caution is that most of the parking requires crossing the road, and cars tend to travel too fast along this road.

Family Time

The house was airy with cool lake colors and lots of family feel. All of our needs were seen to and the manager of the property was friendly and so helpful. It was cool whilst we were there but roasted hot dogs, made s’mores, kids caught all kinds of small fish, and grams here just sat back and enjoyed watching my family experience the Michigan experience I was raised in. Back to Texas with good fun memories. Recommend highly Thanx Deena for everything!

Great Family Getaway!

We had a wonderful family time enjoying the lake! Loved the slow pace and quiet lake. Had plenty of room for all of us and the stocked kitchen gave us the opportunity to cook or eat out. I especially appreciated the extra fridge. Neighbor was friendly and quite helpful with questions we had. We'll be back!

This property is as advertised. Beautiful sunset views. Plenty of space for our extended family of 13. Owner was easy to work with and communicated well. We made some great memories. Highly recommend.

Loving the Lake Life

I wish that I owned a house like this! I would spend every available moment watching the water or cruising around the lake in the pontoon boat. The house was immaculate when we arrived. Everything was exactly as the listing showed. We had a great week at the lake house with our family. We may be back again!

A TRADITION IN THE MAKING?

It was our first attempt at a 5 day vacation with all the grown children and the grandchildren.14-16 in all, from 6mos. To 40yrs. Finding a place, not a hotel, was proving to be hard. Until I seen the cottage on Ackerson Lake. This lake cottage ended up being exactly what we needed. The place was just as it looked, homey and spaceous. The water access was easy and parking was simple. The neighbors were kind and helpful. Even the weather cooperated for us! Thank you David for providing us with a great place to make lasting memories!

Great end to the summer

This place was just as advertised, and better . Fun and peaceful all at the same time. My 4 teenagers loved it as well as my mom,dad aunt who visited. The caretaker was next door were very welcoming and helpful. Owner was very gracious and pleasant as well. This property is a true diamond. The people involved with it make it that way.

Great owner and great location

The cottage was pristine when we arrived and Dave made every effort to make us feel as if we owned the cottage ourselves for the week. Every detail listed in the description was fulfilled and more. There were some comments from previous renters that the pontoon boat was in rough shape. It was, which Dave acknowledged when we arrived, but as an add-on to our rental (at no additional fee) it was a huge benefit for our stay. The pontoon ran great and our family had a great time taking rides. As a long-time renter of cottage properties this exceeded my expectations by far.

Wonderful experience

Cabin was super cute and very clean. They supplied everything you could possibly need for a wonderful experience! We had plenty of room for a large family trip. Neighbor extremely helpful. Lake had sandy bottom and very refreshing on the hot summer days. Would definitely recommend it!!

Great vacation home.

My wife and I rented this home and found it to be quite relaxing and quiet. The home was updated recently and was beautiful. The neighbors were very friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had. We would certainly go back.

Had a great time at the lake house. It was fun for the grandchildren swimming. It was great fishing also. It was a big plus for us to be able to use the pontoon boat. Dina next door was great about everything. Looking forward to renting next year.

Perfect summer getaway

This was the perfect summer getaway for our family! Dave was super nice and easy to work with. The home was the cutest cottage that was recently updated. Plenty of room and fully stocked with everything you could need. We enjoyed swimming and fishing off the dock and the boat. Lake was super clean and warm which was a nice change from our trips to Lake Michigan where it can be cold at times! We will definitely be back!

Lived our best lake life

We had a great time at this house. Two picnic tables, fire pit for s’mores, music, and stories. Plenty of space at the dinning room table for a group of 6-8 to play some cards late in the evening (or was it early in the morning?). The small town of Brooklyn had some great shops to visit and the Cascade Falls are pretty neat to see (the cool light show started at 10pm the night we visited). Also there is a very nice putt putt golf course in Jackson. The boat is a little rough, but more than perfect for the price we paid. The ceilings in the kitchen, dinning room, living room are low so I would not recommend this house for anyone over 6’4”, but since our group maxed out at 6’3” it was perfect!

Bad weather but still had loads of fun

Found plenty to do when the rain came some even went swimming in the rain. The cottage had plenty of room to do things other than fish and swim. Neighbors where very helpful and pleasant

After vacationing at several VRBO locations around the country a few families and I decided to purchase this home on Ackerson Lake for the purpose of renting. We know what renters are looking for in a waterfront rental. Lots of space inside and plenty of water time outside. The kids will love the home and the water while the adults will be in relax mode the whole vacation. Plenty of parking on the backside of the home to go with a soft sandy bottom lakefront on the front side of the home. Large bedrooms will make for enjoyable sleeping arrangements for family and friends. Extremely clean and ready to make memories, that's what we were the most excited about.
