Beachfront retreat with beautiful pool! Friendly on-site caretakers from USA to help make your stay enjoyable. Fenced and gated for security. Gated parking.

LOCATION: Casa Bejuco Ay Bonita . . . a beautiful beachfront retreat is located about halfway between Jaco and Manuel Antonio. About 1.5 hour drive from San Jose Airport.

THE UNIT: The second story Sky Unit has two bedrooms (king bed and two twins that make into a King) with bathroom and large fully equipped kitchen . . . and a beautiful covered porch looking out to a blue flag beach: Playa Bejuco!

Sleeps four adults comfortably.

Living area includes seating for four with large window looking out to the beach. Cafe counter with four stools. Kitchen with big counter, shelving, sink, refrigerator, four burner cook top, coffee maker, toaster, blender, dishes and cooking pans and utensils.

One bedroom with King size bed, air conditioning, and closet with shelves/pole/safe. Second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made into a King bed. Bathroom has sink, toilet, shower and towels.

THE PROPERTY: Beautiful pool available for shared use with three other units. BBQ grill available for use. Many covered porches with hammocks. We are the owners and on-site caretakers from USA and Spain. We love to help make your stay enjoyable. Fenced and gated for security. Gated parking.

ACTIVITIES: Wonderful morning and evening walks along the beach. Boogie boards available. Watch the surfers or join them. Join the evening migration to the beach to watch the beautiful sunsets!

Many wonderful rain forest and beach adventures within an easy 45 minute drive. Tropical waterfalls, sloths, mangroves, primary rain forest, zip lines, horseback riding, ATVs, surf lessons, deep sea fishing, monkeys, exotic birds, organic farms, fresh fruit stands, hiking, tours . . . and many more!

Our favorite beach times are morning and evening . . . explore nearby adventures during the day!

THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Restaurants within easy walking distance. I love to walk down the beach sloshing in the warm ocean water, eat at a restaurant like the Pelicano and walk back. Many more restaurants, groceries and other shopping within a longer walk or easy drive. Larger shopping areas within 20 minute drive.

Ceviche and ice cones available daily at the beach. Occasionally vendors sell fruits and eggs in the neighborhood.

Playa Bejuco rated by Costa Rica government as a Blue Flag beach meeting various requirements for cleanliness, safety, access.

Many birds, iguanas, crabs, frogs share the property. Sloths are sometimes seen in the trees on the property. Sea turtles and whales are seen on the ocean/beach.

Gorgeous! Perfectly located right on the Beach

Girls trip celebrating milestone birthdays. We had an incredible time. The house managers made our trip. So many great suggestions on where to eat and who to book some excursions through. We absolutely love and adore them. Thank you for making our week better than we imagined!! And the icing on the cake was our massages right here on the beach.

Great property

The place is quiet on an amazing beach. There were a couple of minor problems when we got there but the wonderful on-site guy Tracie was on top of it. Overall excellent communication along with providing great tips on where to visit and eat. It made our trip so much better than the plans we originally made. Bejuco is a gem and getting to Jaco and Quepos from there was easy. I’m so glad we found this property. I’d definitely stay there again.

Hidden gem. Peaceful. No TV. Internet access worked fine. Close to new shopping for supplies. Beach access and pool is great.

We don’t want to leave!

I’d rather say this is the worst place, don’t book it! I’d like to know it will be available the next time we want to come, but that wouldn’t be fair. It’s a fantastic spot. Right on the beach, pool is refreshing, balcony views are amazing. The inside of the unit is exactly as described. Had an amazing time. Thank you to Kelly and Tracy for great tips and helping us with setting up our excursions.

Nada comparable con vivir mirando y escuchando el mar desde tu ventana. Muy amable la atencion de Trace y Kelly siempre pendientes por si necesitamos algo, muchas gracias por tanta hospitalidad!

Relaxing Location

This property was a great first stop when arriving in Costa Rica. Not a very long drive from the airport. Nice beach for walking and boogie boarding, trees welcomed large group of scarlet macaws and the pool with the beach behind was a great spot to relax. Condo was basic, but clean and the location was great. Nice bonus was to have provided boogie boards to use at the beach. Trace the caretaker was pleasant and always asked us if we needed anything when we saw him.

Casa Bejuco, a little bit of Paradise!

What a delightful stay we had! We were looking for quiet and solitude on the beach, and this place was ideal! We woke up to majestic scarlet macaws in the trees out front. I counted 14 one day! Then a nice walk on the beach got us up and moving. It was almost like having a private beach as there were very few people around, even on the weekends.The close proximity to restaurants and shopping at the shopping center across the highway was a plus. Parrita was only 10 minutes away and other beaches were close. None were as beautiful as "our beach" however. We spent many hours reading on our veranda or by the pool. In the late afternoon we would walk the beach to the Hotel Delfin, have a drink at their friendly bar and then walk back. The apartment was very comfortable, just perfect for the two of us. We've been coming to Costa Rica since 1999, and I wish that we had discovered Casa Bejuco sooner! It is definitely a place that we will revisit! Unbelievable location

This 2 bedroom unit was outstanding. Besides the fact that is was well maintained, clean, had a wonderful pool...... the proximity to the beach could not be beat. We felt like we had the beach to ourselves with great waves for boogie boarding. There were boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas for use, hammocks to lounge in, chairs by the pool. Diane and Rod were available for any questions we had, and do a great job maintaining the property. While I was sitting on the front porch drinking coffee, Diane even caught my attention to take me to see a sloth that was sleeping in the tree less than 100 feet from the property. Great little shopping area 5 minutes away where we enjoyed breakfast and were able to get groceries. Wish I could add pictures and videos. Would definitely stay again, we were sad to leave.

Casa Bejuco Ay Bonita

Over all the home was exactly as pictured. The location was peaceful and quite. No crowds on the beach and the pool was lovely. The hosts Rod and Diane we very helpful with their local knowledge and a pleasure to meet. The only reasons for not getting a five star rating were a couple of amenities. The biggest being a toaster oven. That would be VERY helpful. Very hard to cook a delicious meal with just a frying pan. I'm not big on microwaves but even one of those would of helped.( We finally borrowed from Rod and Diane)We hadn't planned on having to eat out every meal but pretty much came down to that except breakfast. I was a little shocked at no TV or even a radio.I understand relaxing is your goal but when the weather isn't that great... A reading lamp beside the bed would also be helpful. Don't let this sway you from staying here. It is a lovely home and you will enjoy your stay. We did.
