Our Costarican home is the perfect portal to a restorative vacation. A pure and safe heaven right on the beach in the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.

Should you be a couple looking for a romantic escape or a family looking for good waves to surf... this is the perfect spot for you.
It is a 2 hour drive south of San Jose airport,
Great location in between Playa Jaco and Quepos-Manuel Antonio's park. There are many activities in the surroundings. The closest village is Parrita, a 10 minute drive from the house, grocery shopping is available in Parrita.

We offer a full service property management and also take care of the pool and garden.

Notre maison du Costa Rica, située à Playa Bandera, offre l'opportunité unique de passer des vacances dans un environnement privé et relaxant. En effet, il s'agit là d'un véritable havre de paix. Parfait pour un ou deux couples ou encore une jeune famille. La maison est située directement sur une plage vierge côté Pacifique. Nous sommes également à 45 minutes de deux villes touristiques, soit Quepos et Jaco. Une panoplie d'activités et d'excursions sont offertes dans les environs. Le village le plus près de la maison se nomme Parrita, on peut y faire tous ses achats, à 10 minutes en voiture.
En plus de vous accueillir, une personne ressource qui demeure à proximité s'occupe de coordonner l'entretien de la maison, du terrain et de la piscine. C'est un endroit à découvrir !

Had the best family vacation. House was even better than pictures. Clean, well equipped and private. The pool and grounds were kept beautifully. Enjoyed hearing and seeing all the wildlife around house. Short drive to food stores in Parrita. Recommend guided tour in Manuel Antonio National Park, Il Iguana chocolate Farm tour (need 4x4) and relaxing. Thank you Josee for sharing and to staff that maintain. Mariette was so pleasant, helpful and easy to contact.

Perfect for our family.

This house is located about halfway between Jaco and Manuel Antonio, we spent time in each town and several days just hanging out the house in the pool or at the beach. The house is perfectly equipped to provide everything we needed, including a great host to help out if needed. Our boys had a great time in those incredible waves. Thanks for a great stay.

Amazing Paradise

We stayed for a week at this wonderful property. The beds were soft and comfortable, the whole house was clean and fresh. Everything we needed was available at the house, it was amazing. The pool was so refreshing after a days long hike or tour. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back and stay again. Nicely located between Jaco and Quepos with so much to do and see around.

Exceeded our expectations and was a magnificent experience. Marietta was an excellent host and was very timely with answers to all our questions. The house and grounds were the best we've ever stayed at. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Perfect Tranquility

This was such a relaxing trip. The property was just perfect and we had the beach all to ourselves! The caretaker, Nela, is a wonderful chef. She made an excellent dinner for us one night. Also, the manager, Mariette is super helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful vacation home on the beach!

My family, including our 3 kids ages 6,8,9, stayed at this beautiful home for 4 nights in July. The house and surrounding property were exceptionally well kept and clean. The house is as described. Kitchen was fully stocked. We typically cooked breakfast and dinner there and had everything we needed. Grocery stores are within 10 to 15 minutes depending on which one you choose to go to. Marrietta, the property manager, met us when we checked in and showed us around the house. She was very helpful, accessible, and made good suggestions on a close restaurant and things to do nearby. We spent one morning, as suggested by Marrietta, enjoying a hike at Rainmaker park which included waterfalls, rope bridges, and swimming holes. The kids loved it! I think what we enjoyed the most was the seclusion of the property and proximity to a beautiful beach on the ocean. 1 minute walk through a palm tree lined oasis and you're on a dark sand beach which we had to ourselves the entire stay. Waters were rough, but our kids were able to play in the waves close to shore. Highly recommended place for a very relaxing beach stay in beautiful Costa Rica. We hope to return to this house in the future.

We had an amazing time in Costa Rica! Marriette was a phenomenal host as well as the house and grounds keeper. From fresh coconuts to our friendly stray dog I wanted to bring back with us, the sound of the ocean and amazing time on the property swimming in the pool we couldn’t have asked for a better week we had. First visit to Costa Rica

Playa Bandera, on the Beach, was the perfect location for celebrating our 40th anniversary. The home is clean and very well appointed, we wanted for nothing. The property is beautiful and secluded, perfect for relaxing and cooling off in the pool. The almost completely empty beach was great for our early morning and late afternoon walks. The proximity to Jaco, Quepos and surrounding areas is perfect with a rental car. Overall 10 out of 10 experience!!

Amazing!

This was the perfect spot for my husband and I and our three teenagers! Plenty of beach time as well as multiple excursions within an hour away without our place feeling touristy at all! Jossee and Meriette were so helpful in getting us ideas for things to do. So great!!! We had a wonderful time!

Exceeded our expectations

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is much more spectacular in person. We loved lazy days at the pool and enjoyed the peace and solitude of the beach. The home was immaculate and very nicely decorated. The owner had thought of everything that you may need during your stay. The wildlife was such treat, we saw monkeys/lizards/Scarlett Mac laws and I even got to release baby turtles into the sea at sunset. Finally the staff were so efficient and friendly. The property is managed by Marrietta who was so lovely and knowledgeable. We would stay again, I was sad to leave.

Paradise

We enjoyed a lovely week at Casa Amarilla with our two kids (7 and 11). The setting right on the beach was unbeatable. The road to get there was pretty rough though. Significant rain made for a difficult last mile. The grounds of the house are gorgeous and very well maintained. We made great use of the pool too. The ability walk right out the door and into the ocean was perfect for our kiddos and made for a very relaxing stay. Mariette was very helpful and we appreciated her guidance. We would definitely recommend this home to others looking for a relaxing and low key getaway to Costa Rica.

Amazing stay at this beautiful house

We fell in love with Costa Rica and this house. It was the perfect place for our family to stay with small children. They absolutely loved the pool and wanted to swim 24/7/ The beach was quiet and so peaceful to walk down and watch the waves. Our 5 year old was loving using the body board and catching the waves. We would eat the fresh coconuts found on the property or close by. Parrita was close so we went there for groceries, ice-cream and the fresh fruit. Rainmaker park and mangrove tours are also close by. We never wanted to leave the house that much because everything was there. Such a relaxing vacation for us. Mariette and her husband were wonderful and were there when we needed them. We can't wait to go back!

Perfection in Paradise

We had the best week at Playa Bander. The location of this house is absolutely perfect. With the ocean just a few steps away, you can hear the calming sound of the waves throughout the day. The house is extremely well stocked with extra linens and everything you need to cook meals at the house. Eating outside under the patio pavilion was perfect, especially when lit up at night. The pool was a perfect temperature for relaxing. When we weren't in the ocean, we were in the pool! Parrita is a short drive away where you can stock up on groceries and fresh fruit. It's not a tourist town, but the people were friendly and patient with our modest command of the language. Marietta was a great host, and helped us get in and settled. Can't wait to come back - hopefully for a little longer next time! Paul Nelson

Playa Bandera, Casa Maria

This lovely beach home is even prettier than the photos show on VRBO. The gardens and pool are well groomed, and the interior is spotless. Costa Rican woods adorn the furnishings and ceilings. Kitchen is well appointed. Beds are very comfortable; nice linens. Would not change a thing about the house or grounds. Our host, Mariette, was very helpful and kind. She arranged for a cook to bring in the most wonderful local seafood dishes, and she responded within minutes to any questions that we had during our stay. The unimproved road from the main highway to the house, roughly 3 miles, is the only negative. Casa Maria is a real treat for those who enjoy privacy, the sound of the surf and the natural flora and fauna of this beautiful coastline. Pura vida!

Paradise on Earth in Playa Bandera

We stayed at the villa this December and only wish we had booked it for longer stay. It is exceptionally clean, peaceful and very well equipped (beach towels, boogie boards kitchen supplies to name a few). Waking up to the sound of waves, walking on the endless and almost private beach gives you the peace of serenity and being one with nature that Costa Rica so generously offers. Mariette who manages the property is super nice, helpful and ensures that place is immaculate. From fresh flowers in the vases to fluffy towels it feels very welcoming and comfortable. Our family with two teenagers enjoyed both the beach and the pool. Town of Parrita is only 10 min away. There you will find groceries and local restaurants. Villa is also conveniently located for trips to Manuel Antonio park and Jaco. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great Pura Vida. We will be back !

Amazing property with a pool and it’s own private beach!

This was an amazing place to stay. We highly recommend it. If you were looking for a private pool, a private beach, and an extremely well kept property then look no more. We spent nine days there and loved every single day. The property was meticulously maintained on the outside and inside. It was fully stocked with all kitchen items that you need and other accommodations that made it feel like home. It was hard to leave and return home. The sunsets were breathtaking. Mariette was so accommodating and helped us with any and all questions that we had. It was so nice having someone local answer questions on where to go and what to do. Josee the owner of the property was very helpful giving us all the information that we needed for our first trip to Costa Rica. He gave us excellent directions and information on restaurants, activities near the property, and even a car rental company that we highly recommend. Thank you Josee for making our trip so memorable ! We will definitely be back in the near future.

Paradise!

Not enough words to describe this amazing place in Playa Bandera! Communication with the host, Jossee, was great and provided all necessary information on point (car rental, directions etc). Upon arrival Marietta, on site host was more than we could have expected, extremely attentive, never intrusive and went out of her way to make sure everything was great and any information of places to go and eat. The house (beds/pillows are comfortable & A/C works great), pool & grounds leading to the beach front (about 300 yards) are extremely well taken care of and makes you feel you are staying in a 5-Star resort, compliments to Marietta's husband, the crew and their two sweet dogs. If you're looking to get away from the touristy area and have an entire beach to yourself (we saw maybe six people), well equipped home (everything you could possible need), pool/beach (floats, boogie boards, umbrella, chairs), Jaco & Quepos within an hours drive and plenty of restaurants near by, must go to “Seafood Place” or stay home and order “Langostino” which Marietta can help you with, this place will not disappoint! We can't wait to come back to this very special place and another shout out to Marietta and the couple that found my brother-in-law's wallet-Thank you!

Little hidden gem

My family of four had an amazing long weekend at CasaAmarilla! We wanted to get away from the city and feel COVID safe at the same time. This little piece of paradise was perfect for us. Everything was so easy, the house was adorable (I don't feel the pictures do it justice). The pool is very well maintained and we used it day and night. The beach felt like it belonged to us. So private and peaceful. I should also mention I'm a full time wheelchair user (custom made chair) so for anyone who is independent in their chair, getting around the house, the property and the beach were no problem. We were so grateful to find that the caretakers- Mariette and her husband went above and beyond to have a ramp available for me to use (there's one step to get into the house). The owner- Josee, was extremely responsive to our messages and very accommodating. If you need an escape from the hustle and bustle we can't recommend this bungalow enough! Without a doubt we will be going back.

TRANQUIL and RELAXING

Tranquil with a capital T! Our family spent a week here and it was perfect. Kids (age 7 and 8) LOVED the pool and beach steps away. Super soft sand but strong rip currents so they didn’t swim. Lots of pool toys for them to use. Hubby and I loved waking up to the crashing waves of the ocean. Property is beautifully landscaped and well maintained. Staff are all incredible. Andres brought us fresh coconuts one morning and cut them open so we could enjoy fresh coconut water. Mariette was next level helpful! The check in was smooth and she answered all our questions. When our son got an ear infection she accompanied us to the local medical clinic and ensured he was taken care of. Villa had everything we needed and the nearby town of Parrita was great for groceries. Not a lot of sightseeing or activities close by but we were in Costa Rica for a while so we were ok with just chilling that week. Air condition in each bedroom and main area was lovely on hot days. Lots of geckos and iguanas around the property. Saw Scarlett in macaws flying by often and stopping in nearby trees. Amazing stay.

Everything you could ask for

This stunning property was just as advertised and more. Owner Jose’e was so helpful and accommodating from day one. (Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us Jose’e). On site host Marriette and the staff were incredibly responsive and gracious- right there when you needed them but never intrusive. This newer home is tucked just outside of Parrita on the shores of the Pacific Ocean providing us with an amazing base from which we visited Quepos, Jaco and several amazing adventures but none more relaxing and spectacular than lounging at what felt like our own private beach or sipping a cocktail poolside at this sparkling and spacious pool designed with built in seating benches and a consistent depth of about 4 1/2’ deep that we lounged in for hours! The home was clean, modern and stocked with everything we needed for our two week holiday escape. If you want a busy touristy location this wasn’t that, but If you are looking for a secluded 5 star experience 10 minutes from the store and 20-30 minutes from the action, where the dolphins, macaws and geckos are your neighbors every day, this is the place. To Jose’e, Marriette and the ground and cleaning staff- thank you so much for providing us with two weeks in paradise and a Christmas holiday we will never forget.
