5 bedroom. 3 Master bedrooms each with private full bath. 6 open grassy mountaintop acres. One ridge over from Snowshoe Resort & Raven Golf course. 5-8 Minutes to Snowshoe entrance, ski/board rental shops, specialty shops, restaurants & grocery/gas, Then up to parking lots at Snowshoe or Silver Creek resorts. Total drive time from the house to the resort parking lots is typically 20-25 minutes one way.

WIFI Internet Access. 55' Flat screen in family room with surround sound stereo, Satellite TV, Karaoke, DVD and Netflix. Bedrooms have 32' flat screen TVs with Satellite TV and Netflix.

4 wheel drive or chains are required in the winter because snow remains on the ridge road after plowing. If needed, parking available at the base for 2 wheel drives or contact us for recommendations on tire chain purchases.

Pool table/ping pong, private hot tub with awesome views, 5.1 surround sound with DVD library. Karaoke machine. Satellite TV(4). Gourmet kitchen with granite countertops, double oven, island stove, trash compactor. Dining area seats 10.

Mobile phones working at the cabin: Att, Tmobile, Sprint. (Verizon doesn't play with the ATT tower at Snowshoe) Family radios can also be used to reach Snowshoe Resort to keep in touch with skiers/bikers/golfers.

Stone fireplace Gas inside and wood outside under the covered deck overlooking the valley. Aspen log beds throughout with rustic Locust Tree hand rails on stairs and decks create a cabin feel while retaining the comforts of home. Well trained pets welcome.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious, with plenty of comfortable beds and everything we needed to feel right at home. It was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for our group. The host was very responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We would definitely love to stay here again!

Beautiful home with amazing views of the mountains. Perfect place to get away for the weekend. Plenty of indoor space for family and friends to relax, catch up with each other, play games or read. Outdoor space was prefect to grandchildren to run around while adults unloaded/loaded cars. Fully stocked kitchen. Pet friendly.

Beautiful home with amazing views and the perfect location to get away but also an easy 25 min drive to Snowshoe. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend!

Winter Getaway!

My family and I spend one week here and absolutely loved it! It's so close to Snowshoe and the property itself has a ton of amenities: pool table, ping pong, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, etc. Very private feeling, and plenty of room for everyone!

Beautiful location and cabin. I would advise guests to not attempt the trek up to the cabin from route 219 on a street motorcycle. Adventure bikes would have no problem. The beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were great. Floor plan, porches, couches, and view were excellent!

There was a little drive up to the house on a one lane road, but it was never an issue for us with the vehicles that we brought. The house and property was beautiful! We had an amazing stay!!

This was a fantastic trip. We had 10 people. 3 different families, 6 adults and 4 college age kids and it was perfect. The kids loved the pool table, pingpong, hot tub and cornhole. We explored and had fires each night. The kitchen amenities were great. We loved the house so much, we never even went out to a restaurant even though that was our plan.We brought our dog and she was in heaven. Plenty of space for her run. It was fun watching the kids throw balls, play soccer and hit golf balls with her. We were there on fathers day weekend and we did ATV's and the guys played golf at the Raven Golf Club and said it was an exceptional course.We honestly didn't leave the house very much. It was so relaxing and views were wonderful. It was 5 days of pure bliss. We were already looking at dates for next year before we even left!There is a small store and a Dollar General 10 minutes from the house but you'll want to make sure you either pack groceries, hit a larger town on the way the the house or plan to do a grocery run one day. We did bring quite a bit with us but when we realized we probably wouldn't leave the house for meals, we did do a big grocery run in Elkins which is an hour away.

When the reviews said this property “had everything” they meant it! Our family could not have had a nicer stay this weekend in the West Virginia mountains. The house is well equipped for entertaining, and the spacious property was a blast to explore. We enjoyed the picturesque sunrises, picking blackberries, feeding the hummingbirds, and staying up late telling stores by the fireplace. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy the beauty of Pocahontas County, look no further!

Peaceful Thanksgiving

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There was enough to entertain the kids while the adults were able to relax by the fire. We enjoyed walking our dog through the maze and on the road to the property...we even saw two wild grouse! Lots of deer as well. Two thumbs up from us!

Excellent Choice!

The purpose of our trip was for a family gathering to explore the Snowshoe and Cass areas. This cabin was in a very convenient location for that. There were eight adults on this trip and we fit comfortably in this spacious cabin. Lots of neat things to keep you busy while at the cabin ... chess, cornhole, sitting in the hot tub, relaxing in the sauna, playing pool, walking the cornmaze, or even just resting on the back deck to take in the gorgeous views.

Nice place but house was dirty.

Nice house. But the house was dirty. Looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Couldn't get the wifi to work either. Owner said there's no password but there was no unlocked networks.

Sorry about that timing with the construction. We had a short amount of time to get the new windows, doors, siding and double sized deck in place leaving the cabin open to the elements for week. We just finished the deep clean after construction crews were done. Someone had broken the cable tab for the modem line and at the same time did a complete factory reset on the cable modem. It just needed to be plugged back in after looking at it.

Great Getaway

We had to cancel our previously booked family vacation this summer due to COVID, and decided to re-book somewhere that was driving distance from the DC area. We booked this rental given all the positive reviews, and it did not disappoint as it gave us everything we wanted. Our family of 10 had tons of space, we were able to detach from the outside world, and three kids under 12 were endlessly entertained without ever needing to leave property due to amount of things to do on site (pool, ping pong, horseshoes, board games, cards, puzzles, fire pit(s), and more). During the day, most of the group stayed on the property grounds, but a handful of us would find a hike or head up to Snowshoe Mountain to do things a little more adventurous/strenuous before settling in for cocktails, dinner, and firepit each night. I could write a bunch more, but will just sum it up as a great place to stay where you can detach from the outside world and reattach to friends and family in a great setting. Thanks for having us!

Matt and his guests were great! Good communication and left property in wonderful condition! Glad to hear they had a good time as we always do as well. Hopefully they will return soon to enjoy the new refrigerators, new recliner, new adirondacks and new deck tables!

Mountain View’s❤️

The property is absolutely beautiful. One of the most peaceful places we have ever been. The cleaning needs to step it up. The dishes were still in dish washer from last guests. Most the towels were still in the dryer also from the last guests. We found a can of opened moldy fruit in the pantry. Used razor in our master tub area. Even an old contact lense on one of the bedroom dressers. The pool table felt is quite worn out and the ping pong table could use some tlc. The hi chairs were filthy and so was the pack and play. We didn’t use any of it. The Hot tub lid was broke but owners are waiting on repairs. The hot tub worked perfectly for those star lit nights. The sauna worked and was also very enjoyable. We Couldn’t figure out how or if the Karaoke machine worked. Even with all the cleaning issues we all had a great time once we cleaned things up. The house is beautiful, the surroundings were simply amazing. The owners were very nice and helpful they answered immediately when we called. The grounds of the home were kept impeccably clean. The grass was cut and so was a path thru the golden rod so you could walk thru the maze. Even With all the negative cleaning issues. We would still definitely recommend this location. Great for all the family, but...

Our group consisted of 11 people of various ages- baby to older adults. The property was conducive to interaction, yet there was enough space to be by oneself as well. Plenty of games were available, a wonderful deck for relaxing together, outdoor fireplace and firepit, grill and kitchen with all that one needs to prepare meals. There were wonderful rocking chairs and deck chairs for just relaxing and watching the sunsets and the plethora of hummingbirds. The yard was great for a ball game too. A BIG downfall was the cleanliness of the place. Dog hair was E V E R Y W H E R E! Doors when opened, made hair airborne. Most of our family are not 'indoor dog people'. The one family that has a golden retriever in their house called it 'bad' by their standard as well! Bathrooms were clean, but we cannot say the same for the beds (dog hair on sheets) and the floors. Dirty tissues were in bathroom drawers and behind the toilet. Nice washers and dryers, yet both were stuffed with towels and sheets- still wet in the washer too. The entire place needs a hard core cleaning. The railing in the loft and going upstairs was decorative, but extremely unsafe. On the positive side, the owner was very much in communication with us and offered to help the best he could. Once WE vacummed and superficially cleaned, we decided that we could deal with it and chose to stay. Overall we kept it a fun, safe family-bonding experience. We won't go back though.

Our extended family stayed on this wonderful property for seven nights. The views and setting were spectacular. The cabin is well laid out for a large group. The large round table sat 9 adults and 3 kids..The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, instapot and crockpot. Since we have several people with limited diets, we cooked at the cabin each night. It was great having two fridges (one in garage) so we could bring a variety of food from home. The beds were comfortable and the everything was very clean. The property was so peaceful and beautiful. I use a walker and power wheelchair. There are two steps onto the small front porch and one more into the house. There are two nice bedrooms and two baths on the main level. I could use my wheelchair to get to the lower patio underneath the deck. We hope to come here again because it was a truly wonderful place to connect as a family.

Our goal was to have a place our kids could enjoy, play football, soccer, bike, hike, paintball, etc. It really has worked perfectly for us and we hope you could enjoy it the same way we have over the years
