A fantastic property for our family of 12 (ranging from kids, teenagers, couples and an OAP). Pool and outside eating /kitchen area was perfect and house had plenty of space for everyone. Village provided all the facilities needed- supermarket, a pizzeria opposite and a fantastic cafe in the main square.

A perfect stay in a beautiful house

We had a superb stay in this extraordinary house. It fitted 13 people with room to spare and was nicely furnished. We liked the backyard a lot and we all hung out there and relaxed. We went on several excursions and visited vineyards. We also dined at the local restaurants. It is a very small and quiet town. We enjoyed our stay very much. Regards, Sigrunn

An amazing holiday

The Good Life was perfect. It is exactly as it looks in the photos. We enjoyed the well-appointed interior and sat outside in the afternoon sun with a glass of wine after our excursions to neighbouring towns and villages. BTW, the location is excellent for exploring the area. Rieux Minervois is a small town with a great boulangerie down the road (walking distance), good Italian restaurant across the road, and a local wine co-op. There's also a small market on Saturdays. We weren't sure about parking for our 2 cars, but it was easy - never a problem. We had a great holiday!

A grand pile of a manor house with very generous and well appointed accommodation, in the middle of a busy village, surrounded by beautiful countryside and hills thick with vines and olive groves. Short drives along tree lined vistas or up windy roads to the hills, put many interesting towns and some splendid wineries in easy distance; the towns of Carcassonne, Narbonne, Limoux and Perpignan to name a few, as is the Med for beach lovers, but the smaller villages around and about were delightful too. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, including on the canal at Trebes. And to top it all, fresh baguettes and patisserie from the village boulanger. À votre santé et bonheur.

We had a lovely week at this beautiful property near Carcassonne, the interior belied the rather ordinary exterior it has been decorated beautifully and has all of the amenities you would need. The pool area and garden are planted with a range of plants both real and artificial, the pool not large but still great for cooling off with a large seating area, outdoor kitchen and BBQ, we spent most of our time here. The bedroom on the ground floor is beautiful and spacious with an ensuite, the four doubles on the first floor are again large and spacious and beautifully decorated serviced by three bathrooms. However, the three top floor rooms two are very small one a very small double the other a single and our party of 9 struggled to allocate these as they were not of the same previous standard. We had a few teething problems with the property but the housekeeper resolved these reasonably quickly and was always on hand to answer questions. The house is in a road with a few good restaurants in walking distance, a bank, pharmacy and local supermarket and an outdoor pool attached to the local swimming baths. All in all if you are after a large, grand house and wish to explore this area of France and all it's beauty you can't go wrong with this property.

A Holiday mover to be Forgotten

We were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversay with all our Family so there was 14 of us in total. The house was lovely, giving us lots of space to come together, but with enough to have our own individual space. Everything was there we required . When we contacted the owner regarding cleaning of the pool after the 1st week, he immediately arranged for it to be cleaned. There was a be lovely welcome basket for our arrival. The whole family, oldest to youngest loved the place so much. Although right in the middle of town you would never have known it as it was so quiet on the terrace. Sunbathing by day, swimming and long lazy lunches and dinners it was everything we hoped it would be for us to celebrate our vow renewals under the Honeysuckle Bower.. Thank you

Poolen var lika inbjudande som den ser ut på bilderna och det var toppen att den sköttes av en tekniker 2 ggr/vecka. Vi uppskattade även terassen samt det stora köket där många tillsammans kunde laga middagar!

Parfait pour un séjour entre amis ou en famille

Nous avons passé deux merveilleuses semaines du 5 au 19 août 2023. Nous étions un groupe d'amis avec quelques un de nos grand enfants (14 en tout) et aussi bien la maison que l'extérieur (cours et piscine) ont parfaitement répondu à nos attentes. L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter Carcassonne, les chais locaux et les grottes à proximité et se balader au bord du canal du midi. La situation en pleine ville offre beaucoup d'avantages (commerces à 3 minutes en voiture, pizzeria juste en face, concerts et animations à 5 minutes a pied) et quelques tous petits inconvénients (un peu de bruits de circulation). Merci à Charlotte et Will pour leur accueil et les échanges toujours rapide et à Mike pour ses interventions. Nous sommes tous d'accord pour revenir l'année prochaine 😁.

Restaurants and takeaway options within walking distance and Carrefour a 5 minute drive away.
A heated pool on site. Lots for children locally too, very close to the canal de midi for cycling and boat trips, history on your doorstep and watersport and inflatables fun at the local lake. Walking distance to all amenities (including wine tasting!)
Lots of parking available adjacent to the property in addition to off road parking.
A concierge service on hand for help.and advice.
