This is an amazing place inside and out. Only a few steps to the beach, quiet, beautiful and cozy. Dan is an incredible host! We will most certainly be back as soon as we can!

Probably the nicest holiday let we've ever had!! Dan was so very helpful, and he communicated well all through the process. The house is gorgeous! Simply gorgeous. Everything we needed was there. Plus more! And the location was perfect, a short walk from the town along the beach walk.We loved it so much, we're looking at when we can come again!

We were very happy with all communication with the host prior and during our stay, house and proximity to beach and town was amazing and the use of Dans carport was an unexpected bonus so I didn’t need to find on street parking

The house is beautiful and decorated very artistically. The beach is close enough to walk to with a cup of tea. The fire was warm and inviting and Dan, who lives at the property, was very hospitable and generous. . I enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend.

This is a lovely old cottage with lots of character. Two minutes walk from the esplanade, and an easy walk into Cowes. Dan was an outstanding host who looked after us very well 😁 Would highly recommend if visiting the Isle of Wight. Spacious bedroom with private facilities, even a log fire for those chilly evenings.

A lovely spacious house. Very convenient to the town and sea front. Dan was a brilliant host and provided us with loads of provisions. Also gave a useful tour of the house and even lit the log fire for us on arrival. We had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely come again.

Dan was a great host and very attentive. He runs it as a b and b or you cane have the place to yourself. House was lovely, good amenities, clean and quiet. Lots of food basics provided free for use such as coffee, milk, butter; bread etc. Cosy lounge with log burner, lovely gardens and great location. Shame I was only staying for work as I would have liked to have stayed and relaxed there! Would definitely book again. Can’t fault the experience. Great place.

I had such a lovely and relaxing stay in this charming cottage. It has a wonderful old-fashioned character and history while still having everything you need for a comfortable stay. Everything was clean and convenient, and I felt at home straight away. It was lovely to sit in the garden with my tea in the morning and a drink in the evening watching the bees and butterflies around the flowers. The location is quiet and peaceful, and only a few minutes’ walk along the esplanade to the bars, shops and restaurants in Cowes. The host did everything he could to make my stay as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. He was always easy to contact and very quick to respond if I needed anything. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a home from home in Cowes. I‘m looking forward to my next visit already!

Very cozy stay

We had an excellent stay in Dan’s home. He provided excellent suggestions for places to eat and sites to see. The bed was super comfortable and the area was quiet which allowed for superb sleep. Would stay here again.

Fabulous Cowes Isle of Wright

Fabulous sailing town. Wonderful history and landscape. Needed to spend more time there. Our host and cottage was perfect.

Comfy Central Cowes Cottage

Our stay for three nights was most enjoyable. Dan made us very welcome and his hospitality and friendliness were top notch. The location suited our needs for the Red Funnel ferry, bars and facilities brilliantly. Many thanks Dan for all your help.

Cowes Week 2023

An absolute gem of a property. Hidden away from the town centre, but easy enough to walk to. Beautiful period cottage, with a great vibe. Dan is a great host, friendly, helpful and organised. Staying here made our week.

Top Host

Amazing location and lovely house. We had welcome drinks in the garden and warm croissants for breakfast. Dan is so welcoming, nothing he won't do for you! We arrived as guests but definitely left as friends.

Long Weekend

What a lovely host

The property was clean and within distance of everything worth visiting (well it is the IOW so distance is no problem!)Dan the host was exceptional and made sure that everything was just so. It was a huge cottage for one person but that made it so much better, I could travel between rooms and felt that I had gone on a journey. Absolutely everything was there, even a tub of Meds for those small accidents. Faultless Dan and I thank you

Home from home.

The kindest and most hospitable of hosts. Dan was like a long lost friend and nothing was too much trouble for him. Pour llast evening was served over a bottle or two of wine and the stories flowed with inexplicable shared experiences. We will definitely be staying in touch. Large bedroom in a charming seaside house

We spent 4 great days at Dan's who was so welcoming and friendly. The bedroom is very big and the bed is so comfy. Dans provides some cereals, croissants, orange juice and hot drinks every morning. Another perk was that we could use the kitchen and cook our meals, or take an already prepared salad on the table outside to enjoy the sun in the garden. Cherry on the cake: Dan has got a kayak we used to paddle along the coast which was fun. We practised our English over a drink on our last night.

Cowes Excellent

Dans the perfect host, very accommodating and a relaxed atmosphere. His guest room is wonderful and bright. Love the big windows for gazing out with my coffee in the morning and listening to the birds. Just a short walk down the parade “paved path” along the shoreline to town. Sailors this is the spot for you. Quaint town with plenty of Shops and Pubs. Loving it. Be sure to bring you walking shoes. It was a great choice.

The photos do not do this beautiful property justice. As an old house, it was very cool, which was much needed in the hot weather. Very quiet, with birds chirping above. A 1-2 minute walk to the beach or, for shade, a big green with mature trees straight opposite the property. The garden is very much cottage style, with a wood burner for the late evenings. Dan, the host, was just wonderful and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He gave great advice on where to eat and beaches to visit. Thanks to Dan and his home, I would say our trip to the island has been the most relaxing one yet.

Absolutely incredible:-)

I cannot rate Dan and his wonderful cottage highly enough. Characterful, cosy, delightfully and tastefully decorated and so homely, it was just wonderful to arrive to and we didn't want to leave! Amazing situation so close to the centre of Cowes yet so quiet and peacefully tucked away with a gorgeous garden and overlooking the beach. Dan's communication and help prior to booking and arriving was outstanding and his attention to detail and little touches were simply the best we have ever experienced in any holiday property. A table laid for breakfast, stove ready to be lit and it was all so clean and tidy and welcoming. Many many thanks and we hope to be back!
