A very beautiful spot, with a very large and natural garden. The stream {originally a mill stream} was a pretty part of the grounds, and ran very near to the accommodation. The holiday home was really clean and tidy, with every facility one could want. It had been well equipped, and obviously a lot of thought {and workhad gone

We LOVED our stay at the Granary!We loved roaming through the grounds, paddling in the stream, swinging on the swing, playing on the trampoline and picking blackberries with our 4 year old son. My son and I really enjoyed sleeping in the Romany caravan - he slept on the bottom bunk and I slept above him. I'm 5 foot 5 and it suited me perfectly - if you're much taller, you'll need to sleep diagonally, or in the granary! A most excellent touch is that I could sit and eat my breakfast inside and watch my son bouncing on the trampoline through the window. Wonderfully well equipped kitchen. Great shower - there was a slight issue at first, but Rebecca sorted it out straight away. Super friendly and helpful hosts. Recommend!

Isle of Wight Stay

The hostess was very friendly. The guest house was spacious and loved the caravan. The property was beautiful and would definitely recommend it.

Our second stay at this beautiful property and we have already booked for next year. We love staying here the property and grounds are beautiful and peaceful and in a very convenient location.

Paradise!!

Stunning property & grounds with a beautiful stream & gardens galore. Historic grain mill turned into an adorable cottage with all the amenities. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend to others. Especially fabulous for families, our boys adored staying in the Romany Wagon! We were fortunate to meet the owners, Rebecca & Guy, who are lovely hosts. Very close to both the ferry port & sights we visited.

Relaxing cottage

The garden is beautiful, the green surrounding the cottage makes everything very peaceful...a perfect break for all three of us (Westie included)

We enjoyed the garden and were allowed to pick fresh plums, apples,tomatoes & figs. Our old dog also enjoyed the garden but I would have been more relaxed if there had been a barrier between the cottage and the busy main road.

Lovely family retreat!

Me and my wife just enjoyed a mini break to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, along with our two toddlers and little dog. We had a wonderful weekend and wished we could stay a bit longer! The Granary is in an ideal location to relax and unwind and a short drive away from the beach and other activities. We will almost certainly be aiming to return in 2026!

Long weekend break

A beautiful relaxing place to stay. The granary+caravan were amazing and so pretty. Rebecca made us very welcome. Would definitely recommend and return..

Great location and a wonderful property

The landlady have great communication skill. The property is set on a peaceful and beautiful ground. Had a great time at the cottage escaping the city hussle and bustle.

Good location and nice property

I liked it. The romany caravan in the grounds was lovely and the property itself was very nice. The check in was easy. There is a long and interesting garden. It was easy to reach everywhere on the island.

A delightful cottage in the most charming garden

The Granary is quirky and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a self catering stay. The garden is just wonderful and the real highlight of our stay. Rebecca is a five star host and we can’t recommend her property highly enough. With a car or bicycles, it’s in an ideal location for exploring the island. Without, the buses are frequent, convenient and inexpensive.

More improvements forthcoming in the ever changing garden. We will consider where to site a microwave in the Granary - it is a matter of balancing convenience with aesthetics in the small kitchen area! We always try to give guests a warm welcome.

Relaxing

The Granary was ideal for our use. Everything we needed was there and our small dog (Chihuahua - Snoopy) was delighted with the garden! We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had been there for long. Sorry not to meet Rebecca - next time!

Magical birthday getaway

The property was located in an idyllic part of the IOW. Very peaceful and calming, felt truly relaxed and safe. A great garden to explore and allow the dog to roam in. It was very useful to be able to self cater in the modest but functional kitchen. A great base to set off on a day of adventures and return in the evening for some down time. The hosts were very lovely and we look forward to returning!

We really enjoyed meeting these guests who very much appreciated what we are trying to achieve at French Mill and were quick to offer to help with the watering etc. I'm glad it was mutually advantageous and would be delighted to see them again.
