Whimsical Mountain retreat with gorgeous views and privacy.

Ken and I offer a private mountainside retreat just 15 minutes drive from downtown Asheville and 8 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway which offers endless hiking trails, views, and waterfalls.
Guests stay in a private bedroom, bathroom, hallway area separated from the shared space by a sliding "barn door." You are welcome to enjoy use of the back deck, kitchen, and living room (with wood burning fireplace). My husband and I are the only other people in the home. I also enjoy making breakfast for my guests when I am available (which is most of the time).
There is a fire pit and also a lovely mountainside swimming pool available in season.
God has blessed us with a beautiful home and we'd like to share it with you.
Due to our moral standards we prefer that couples wanting to book in our home be married. However, an alternate option for you would be our LOFT where that rule is more flexible. To book this, go to VRBO #1123338
(see pictures # 11 - 17) This is a separate building on our property, private entrance, and is an additional $30 per night. Breakfast is still available most mornings.

Restful weekend

I can’t say enough positive about this stay. The hosts were extremely friendly and hospitable. The space was very clean and comfortable. It had to be one of the most comfortable getaways we’ve ever had. We also enjoyed the pool that they offered, which was peaceful with beautiful setting all around. I would definitely recommend staying here again. I hope to be back!

Asheville is just fine

for starters this couple is a super duper host ant i enjoyed talking with. the place really felt like home . with a quiet atmosphere and views that go on postcards this place was worth it. the craftsmanship of the place was definitely someone taking their time while doing it correct but also beautiful at the same time . thanks

Reflection time

Becky and Ken were such gracious hosts. Sharing their faith, their home, their mountain views and their friends. Helpful hints and suggestions on how to get to places and recommending places to go was definitely a plus. I look forward to being able to revisit again. The space was clean and organized. Privacy was respected at all times. I would recommend to everyone!

A weekend in the mountains

The Perfect House to Experience Asheville

The drive up to the house was absolutely beautiful. We went in the summer and the winding roads were such a joy to my friends and I. At one point we saw a bear on the road! When we arrived the view from the property was unbelievable. Becky was extremely generous and provided us with a comfortable place to stay along with snacks, access to her pool, and all the amenities we would want! I would definitely stay here again.

The Sweetest Weekend

Becky met us from the front porch when we drove up. The directions to the house were clear and easy to follow. The home was beautiful and not like any other place we had ever stayed. It was truly a "Whimsical Mountain Retreat". But the best part of our stay was the amazing hospitality of our hosts. We were made to feel so very welcome. Becky has a servant's heart and made for us the most delicious breakfast. Our room was completely private with our very nice bathroom. The bed was so very comfortable and provided a great night's sleep, especially after a long day of exploring the surrounding area (Chimney Rock and Lake Lure). We would definitely look forward to spending time here again.

Great mountain day! Woot Hoo!

Ken/Becky were the fun people you want to meet everywhere USA, great host and real life neighbors! AND what a great home setup for in/out type folks or just relax on the deck, by the pool or explore the local mountains. My wife is already telling our family about the VRBO experience as our Smokey mountain retreat. The house is very interesting with many structural ideas and rustic feel, such a warm comfortable stay.

Great views, gracious hosts

Beautiful house with a gorgeous view from the balcony. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. This was the first time we stayed at a property where the hosts also lived--it was wonderful. We enjoyed hanging out with them. Just 15 minutes from downtown Asheville, yet it feels like you are in your own slice of paradise.
