This brand new luxury apartment for two people is located on the first floor, accessible via a somewhat steep staircase. During your stay you will have access to a beautiful oriental garden. The apartment is located on the outskirts of the village of Castricum. Castricum has a cozy center with various shops, supermarkets and many restaurants. Castricum is located on and in the dune reserve North Holland and near the coast. You are in 10 minutes on the beach and dunes. A nice area for walking and cycling. You can also visit the cheese market in Alkmaar, Haarlem or Amsterdam. The train station is a 5 minute walk away, there are frequent connections to the cities. A visit to the Amsterdam, 25 minutes and Zaanse Schans is also possible and recommended.

A very comfortable and modern space with great decor, well equipped with everything we needed. Close to amenities (walking distanance). Hosts were kind and professional. Would recommend! Castricum is a beautiful town as well

We felt very comfortable in Gonnie and Loek's holiday apartment. It was a wonderful stay. The apartment is very spacious, bright with its large windows, very practical (large kitchen, comfortable bathroom), but also very attractively and lovingly furnished. We also really enjoyed the wonderful garden. And above all: Gonnie and Loek are very, very nice and helpful hosts. We'd love to come back!

We travel to Europe 2-3 times and year and almost always stay in a VRBO property. This Castricum apartment was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Very high-end appliances, designer-quality furnishings, lovely shower, fresh tulips on the dining table. The hosts were accommodating and delightful. Another plus is the train station is an easy walk away, so we could visit Alkmaar and Haarlem without the hassle of a car and parking. Highly recommend! (One word of caution: as is often the case in the Netherlands, the steps are very steep.)

It’s so nice to read that you liked the apartment so much. We really do our best when it comes to the decor, comfort, and cleanliness. We’re glad you appreciate it so much. We have to laugh about the stairs too—they’re very Dutch, indeed. Our own house has stairs just like that too—“home gym.” It’s good that you mentioned it, because the staircase can be a bit of a challenge. Fortunately, there are sturdy handrails on both sides, which makes it a little easier. It’s so nice to receive so many warm and positive comments.

Awesome place

When we the weather we came, the weather was bad..cold very windy, and raining. The heating system from the floor was exceptionally good. We can stayed comfortable and enjoyed what the areas can offer. We stayed 5 days and it was awesome place to stay.

It was indeed incredibly chilly and rainy. Spring is long overdue. Nice that it was comfortable inside, nice and warm. You certainly didn't let it stop you from going out. It was nice that the bulbs were in full bloom despite the cold weather. We hope your stay in Belgium was also pleasant and thank you for the nice review, we enjoyed your enthusiasm!

TRULY A 5 STAR EXPERIENCE

This 5 star property is an excellent location with easy access to buses and trains to nearby towns and Amsterdam. It is super clean, top grade construction and beautifully decorated. The kitchen facility is well appointed with crockery, glasses, cooking pots and a Nespresso machine. Castricum is a beautiful, quiet town with great restaurants and bakeries and retail outlets. There is an affordable and close grocery store within walking distance. The back garden is spectacularly landscaped in a Japanese style and kept scrupulously clean and groomed. We were allowed to use the table and seating areas as an oasis after a long day of seeing museums etc. We took their suggestion to visit Egmond on Zee and it was one of our favourite day trips. Excellent all round. Thanks Loek and Gonne!!!

Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, die Unterkunft war einladend, liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und zudem gab es viele Fenster. Außerdem war das Parken auf der anderen Straßenseite unkompliziert und vor allem kostenlos. Wir waren vollends zufrieden und haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen.

Nous avons passé un très beau séjour à Castricum dans ce logement. Le lieu était irréprochable niveau propreté, la cuisine parfaite avec les ustensiles adéquats, un magnifique salon séjour décoré avec goût, des photos anciennes des membres de la famille qui rappellent l'historique de la bâtisse. Une chambre incroyablement grande avec une vue sur le jardin japonais et une salle de bain au top. Un appartement très lumineux.Les propriétaires nous ont prêté des vélos, c'était juste ce qu’il nous manquait pour nous rendre à la mer en 15minutes. Le cadre extérieur était très beau, le jardin japonais comme la glycine sur l'avant de la façade. Le seul point de vigilance ce sont les escaliers à l'entrée du logement qui sont assez raides, mais parfaitement praticables !Encore un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur accueil bienveillant.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, die um das Wohl ihrer Gäste sehr bemüht sind. Gute Kommunikation bereits vor Anreise, beim Check in ausführliche Erläuterungen und während des Aufenthaltes.Sehr gut ausgestattete Wohnung, es fehlt an nichts.Lage ist sehr gut: Parkplatz in unmittelbarer Nähe der Wohnung, Einkaufsmöglichkeit ca 5 mn zu Fuss, Bahnhof ebenfalls in 5 mn zu Fuss erreichbar mit sehr guter Anbindung nach Haarlem, Amsterdam, Alkmaar u.a. und die Züge sind pünktlich!

Die schöne Wohnung ist einwandfrei, man könnte über eine Spülmaschine nachdenken. Alles andere ist top. Leider liegt die fewo direkt an einer Tag und Nacht befahrenen Straße und daneben befinden sich auch noch Bahngleise. Die Wohnung liegt in der Einflugschneise des Flughafens. Das alles sollte man wissen und bedenken. Wer sich nicht viel in der Wohnung aufhält, auch wenn sie eigentlich geradezu dazu einlädt, weil wirklich bei der Einrichtung auf sehr viele Details geachtet wurde, kann sich in der weiten Umgebung eine schöne Zeit machen. Diese hatten wir jedenfalls auch. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und offen für alle Fragen über die Wohnung, die Gegend und was man dort erleben kann.

Das ist nach all den schönen Bewertungen, die wir erhalten haben, ein kleiner Schock. Die Straße kann zu bestimmten Zeiten stark befahren sein. Möglicherweise hatten Sie Pech mit den Flugzeugen, was an den Wetterbedingungen oder daran liegt, dass über Castricum viel geflogen wird. Aber es ist immer gut für die Leute, dies zu lesen. Vielen Dank für die Bewertung, auch wenn wir etwas überrascht sind, dass Sie uns eine so niedrige Bewertung gegeben haben. Wir haben euch als sehr nette und begeisterte Gäste erlebt.

Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und gemütlich ei gerichtet. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Vermieter sind sehr nett. In der Umgebung lassen sich schöne Ausflüge machen.

Perfektes Apartment; alles was man braucht für den Urlaub!

Wunderschönes Apartment, sehr stilvoll eingerichtet, tolles Bett, sauber und gepflegt; alles vorhanden was man braucht; sehr gastfreundliche und nette Vermieter; beste Lage zwischen Dorf mit allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Strand/Dünengebiet. Auch der Garten ist ein wunderbarer Ruheort. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wunderschöne Unterkunft

Wir können diese Unterkunft ungegeschränkft empfehlen. Die Ausstattung ist sehr hochwertig, es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht und die Einrichtung ist wirklich cosy. Wir waren über Silvester dort und gerade weil das Wetter die ganzen Tage grau war, war es angenehm, dass die Wohnung durch die großen Dachfestern sehr viel zusätzliches Tageslicht hatte. Dass die Bahnlinie gegenüber des Hauses verläuft und man die Züge hört, haben wir nicht als störend empfunden. Wir haben uns rundherum wohl gefühlt und die Kommunikation mit Gonnie en Loek war sehr freundlich unkompliziert. Beide sind sehr welcoming und bei Fragen jederzeit ansprechbar.

Unbedingt empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung

Von sehr warmherzigen und ausgesprochen hilfsbereiten deutsch-sprachigen Gastgebern empfangen fanden wir eine super Wohung vor, die mit ungewöhnlich viel Umsicht und Geschmack eingerichtet ist. Bei winterlichen Temperaturen war die Wohnung schon bei unserer Ankunft mollig warm. Die Lage zum Ort ist prima, fußläufig maximal 7-8 Minuten.
