Cosy 1 bedroom apartment in a historic canal house in a quiet and very popular residential area on the Amsterdam city island 'Prinseneiland', The island is like an old fashioned village within the center of Amsterdam, and is inhabited by a nice mixture of artists, expats and traditional Amsterdam people, close to the canals and main city’s attractions.

The apartment has a very nice feel with an 'authentic' style, an open, fully equipped kitchen in the living-room, a private bathroom with shower, wireless internet, a TV with international channels and of course a coffee maker.
Everything in this apartment is in great condition!

The neighbourhood is ideal located at about a 10 minutes walking distance from the busy city center with lots of restaurants and shops, The Ann Frank House, the Central Railway Station, the Red Light District, Dam Square and Westerpark and 3 nice markets on Mondays (arts and crafts-), Wednesdays (organic-) and Saturdays (farmers-).
In short, the perfect place to stay when in Amsterdam!

Bookings are only for 2 guests max, a baby is counted as 1 person according to the local rules!
Use of the sofa as an sepparate bed costs 10 euro once for the extra bedlinen.

Priseneisland stay

Emmy was a wonderful host. The flat perfectly suited our needs. It is located in a lovely quiet neighborhood, but everything in Amsterdam is within walking or biking distance.

L’emplacement du flat est bien situé. 1/4 heure de marche pour être dans le vieux centre d’Amsterdam. L’endroit est très calme. Le flat est assez décevant. Peu de lumière extérieure directe, mal éclairé à l’intérieur, quelques bulbes défectueux. Impression désagréable quand l’hôte nous dit qu’on peut avoir des souris si on laisse de la nourriture hors des armoires. La salle de bain est sans chauffage et ressemble plus à du bricolage (porte de la douche non-adaptée), la porte de la garde-robe mal fixée ainsi que le parquet flottant entre la chambre et le hall de nuit. Pas de lumière du jour dans la chambre sauf par une trappe à manipuler avec un crochet au bout d’un bâton….. pour moi le prix demandé est bien trop élevé. De plus, la porte d’entrée du flat doit restée ouverte car pas de serrure … à fixée

Must-stay spot in Amsterdam!

This apartment had everything we needed and is in a quiet, very nice neighborhood. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living room is spacious. There is public transportation just a short walk away as well as parks. Emmy is a fantastic host and we had great communication with her before and during our stay. Highly recommend this property!

Great Place to Syay

If you are in Amsterdam, you will not find a better place to stay! Emmy is very easy to communicate with and helpful! Her apartment is extremely clean, roomy and well equipped ! Often you do not meet the owner and she welcomed us to show us around and give us any needed information !

Nice Appartement in central location

I can really recommend this nice appartement in a real dutch house in a quiet neighbourhood. Emmy is such a welcoming host that I would like to come again soon. Everything in the Appartement worked. Only parking space is a little difficult in this location, but Emmy can help you with this. Thanks for having us with you!

A quiet place with close connections.

This property is a fully-outfitted, immaculately clean ground floor apartment in a very quiet neighborhood. It is within a short walk to the sites of central Amsterdam, to Amsterdam Central Station (for day trips into the nearby countryside), to tram and bus line pick-up points and to convenient nearby grocers and eating establishments. Emmy Brant, the proprietor was most gracious and helpful at check-in, giving us guidance on where to find transportation, groceries, meals and nearby sites. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Great apartment and a great location !!

We spent 10 days here and really loved our little apt and it was in a perfect location to explore the city. This is our 4th visit to Amsterdam , but first time staying here and we were very impressed. Quiet location on the island, but several great eating spots nearby, and quick to get to the center or train station by walking. Emmy was an awesome host. Would definitely stay here again .

Perfect lodging in Amsterdam

We stayed 4 nights in a great apartment in Amsterdam’s northwest corner. A 7 minute walk to the tram stop, about the same to the grocery store and only 19 minutes to central station. A great neighborhood to see how and where the locals live. We loved every second.

Honest and true opinion

Emmy met us and explained all we needed to know.Fabulous quit location but easy access to all areas on foot,tram or Uber.Lovely property and if we had one critical point it would be the space around the bed is tight but ok.Bed was a bit soft for us but that’s personal choice.Would highly recommend the property to all ages.

Quiet Location

The apartment looked exactly as described and was a very quiet location which was nice after a very hectic day. It did concern me we were unable to lock the door when we left due to Amsterdam laws. I believe others were staying in the building and they would have had access to our lodging since we were not there.

Beautiful Quiet Location

We really enjoyed staying at Emmys place. The 15 minute walk out of the centre was perfect at the end of a long busy day. The apartment had everything we needed. Emmy was so easy to communicate with and gave great recomendations for local restaurants close by.

Very nice apartment

Emmy was a great host. Her apartment is very well situated. Near market, restaurants and shopping street. Very quiet at night. Sleep like a baby. The only critic would be that the apartment is chilly. But that is Europe. I highly recommend.
