This property was heaven on earth. The location, the setting, everything was just perfect. The host was very responsive. We had no issues at all. I would absolutely rent this villa again.

Wow!!! Luigi was wonderful… lots of good local information and very responsive to any questions we had. Very easy check-in and check-out processes. The place was peaceful and quiet but easy to get to other destinations. It really met our need and more for our stay in Tuscany…we will certainly tell all our friends and family about this place. The sunsets, the patio, the pool, the rooms…. Wonderful! Grazie, Luigi!

The most wonderful home we have ever had the privilege of staying in. And Luigi is the very best host! So kind and helpful with great recommendations on what to do in the area. The heavenly view all around the property, the sunrises and sunsets, the pool and beautiful flowers… all of it was the most lovely we’ve ever experienced! And the little village of Montisi is a dream. We enjoyed many day trips to surrounding villages/ cities but also prioritized a few days to just chill in Montisi and at the villa! Such a peaceful incredible home! We can’t wait to return with our kids! Thank you Luigi for such a wonderful stay in your beautiful home!

This property was a great place for our group to day trip around Tuscany. It is a lovely house in a beautiful setting. It is what I envisioned for a perfect country stay in Tuscany.

The pool area was awesome, very clean and beautiful landscape.Beds were comfortable, house was very clean! Loved the little coffee room.Lots of space to spread out in.Luigi was an excellent host!

Incredible experience for my large family in the beautiful hills of Tuscany. The house is large and very private with amazing views and a crystal clear pool we used almost everyday. We had a hot first week in the mid 90s and spent a lot of time in the pool before heading out on day trips. The location was perfect to branch out to all the great prime spots.Florence, Sienna, Montalcino and the small local spots and restaurants in Trequanda only 15 minutes away and of course Montisi our local friends. I have traveled many times to Italy and traveled to almost all of the cities over the years and we always admire the beautiful villas so to actually stay in one for 10 days and enjoy the natural beauty was just incredible. Luigi was always available whenever we needed him and he is a great guide with his recommendations. The cleaning lady was wonderful she is local and can help us immediately. A few recommendations for you when we went to the market we found the COOP about 20 minutes away and it was in a mall setting with a full selection of food and wine that would be comparable to large market in the US. Family needs a quick pizza and a salad outside seating the pizza Paradiso in the town of Trequanda is perfect. Had a few outings in Montisi at the wine bar Cantina and a few of the restaurants great time and super friendly people. The laundry was also a big plus they have a machine and the drying is outside on a line or on a rack worked great. Thank you Luigi hope to see you soo

Vacation perfection!

Spectacular setting! The villa was perfect for our family! Luigi was extremely welcoming and helpful. We all hated to leave!

What a wonderful villa in which to stay for the entire week with our adult children and grandchildren. The rooms are spacious and extensive, allowing everyone to gather together or to have a little alone time. We also loved having enough bathrooms for our individual families. We spent most days exploring Tuscany and returned to the villa to enjoy the pool and patio areas at sunset. The views here were absolutely stunning, as was the landscaping of the villa grounds. The herd of sheep in the fields were an added bonus. The pool was well cared for, and we swam for several hours each day. The closest town, Montisi, has a great little café with tasty pastries for breakfast. We dined at two restaurants in town. Both meals were excellent, as were the waitstaff and the views. The proximity to Sinalunga made it easy to obtain all our grocery needs at the COOP. Great selection of foods. Our host, Luigi, was very kind and checked in throughout the week to see if we needed anything or had any questions. Fantastic stay with lots of memories made in this stunning region of Italy.

Family reunion

We had a great stay and Luigi was super helpful with local advice on wineries and local chefs. The house location is peaceful and quiet with beautiful sunsets from the large covered veranda. We had a great family reunion.

Amazing Tuscan Villa

We enjoyed our stay at this Villa very much. The property was beautiful and the views and sunsets were breathtaking. The host Luigi was so helpful, friendly, and courteous. I will definitely be back to this spectacular home!

Fantastic time, Central location

We were a group of 4 couples and found there was plenty of room for all of us. The property as better in person than we had expected. We had a car so it was really easy to get around and see all the towns nearby. Very beautiful property with great vistas. So relaxing to hang out at the pool or the deck.

Our wonderful stay

Spectacular is all we can say. Beautiful property and grounds, incredible views and sunsets and you’ll never find a better host than Luigi! Also highly recommend the Tuscan Chef to prepare dinner for you at the Villa. Our chef was Giancarlo and he was the best- entertaining and an amazing chef.

Spectacular villa on hilltop surrounded by acres of well maintained gardens and pool area.

The villa is huge and well appointed with anything you could imagine There are two large dining rooms inside and several well appointed outside patio areas. The bucolic setting includes birds , roaming sheep down the hill meandering from field to field. Couldn’t be more restful! Also close enough to Siena , San gimingnano Assisi for day trips and even Florence Will definitely return.

Perfect for family gathering

Luigi's home was perfect for our extended family get together. There was plenty of room to spread out and the space felt very comfortable. The patios, gardens, and pool were exceptional. There is almost a 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside. The villa made a great base for exploring several Tuscan towns and wine regions. We would highly recommend it!

Family and Friends gathering

Hosting a reunion of family and friends at this lovely Villa was a wonderful experience.. Nearly five weeks of managing guests rotating in and out went quite easily. Luigi was an exceptional property manager that met needs promptly and was always eager to answer questions and make recommendations for things like local dining. The pool and grounds were lovely and well maintained. I would love to return at some point in the future.

This is a perfect villa in a perfect location. The interior is excellently equipped and is very comfortable and spacious, and the multiple external relaxing/dining areas are ideal for enjoying the incredible views in every direction, whilst the large pool is perfect for cooling off from the summer sun. The whole villa was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the gardens were beautifully maintained. Luigi provided very helpful information about the villa and surrounding area in advance of our arrival, and was regularly keeping in touch during our stay to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction. We enjoyed the most amazing two weeks in this fantastic villa, and we would not hesitate to return if we get the chance to do so again in future. Thank you, Luigi.

A beautiful Tuscan home

We very much enjoyed our stay! The home and property are beautiful! This is an old Tuscan villa, so remember that things are not new and perfect, but Luigi was very responsive to any need we had. The house was very comfortable and a great place for our family to spend a week exploring Tuscan towns. Luigi was most helpful in suggesting local guides to give us tours in neighboring towns and recommended a wonderful chef who prepared dinner for us two nights at the villa - a real treat and something we highly suggest! We hope to make it back one day soon!

Amazing Tuscan Villa!

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa! It was just wonderful, and Luigi was a fantastic host! The views from every part of the villa are amazing! It was so fun to see all of the sheep each morning and watch the sunset in the evenings. We were fortunate enough to be in town for the olive festival in Montisi, the quaint little village just a few miles away. We had a blast! The recommended chef who cooked for us at the villa, Giancarlo from the Tuscan Chef, was incredible! What a fantastic recommendation! We also loved the food in town at Cantina 97. It was awesome! We hope that we can come back to this special villa again someday!

Iconic Tuscan Experience

Luigi is an excellent host. The villa is in a beautiful location with breath-taking views. It was like living in a Tuscan postcard. The home was clean and all of the bedrooms were spacious. The kitchen was small and not fully equipped so if you are planning to cook dinner make sure you have all of the necessary cooking utensils. Otherwise, this is a fabulous property. Really special. I highly recommend it.

Another wonderful week at Villa il Poggio!

This year we visited places that were closer to the villa, because we knew we wanted to spend more time relaxing and enjoying the beautiful home and pool. Last year, we went to all the major sites, Cortona, Siena, Pienza, and Montepulciano, all within an hour or 1.5 hrs. from the villa. The home was once again well equipped with everything we needed, large refrigerator, great oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, and outdoor grill. The owner, Luigi, is very responsive, friendly and helpful. The views are magnificent, and we loved watching the sheep move from field to field every day. The pool is glorious and well kept along with the beautiful landscaping. We already booked the villa for next summer. We imagine we'll be going for many years to come.
