Welcome to the Frontside Hacienda! Part of Ark River Haciendas located on the banks of the Arkansas River, this newly remodeled, spacious and private oasis is just what you need for your Salida vacation getaway!
Located in the ♥️ of downtown Salida, you will be just footsteps away from all of the best things this city has to offer. From river fun, kayaking, rafting, tubing, fishing, hiking, biking, to shopping, galleries, coffee shops, sampling local eats and brews and enjoying live music, to skiing at Monarch (only 25 minutes away), ice skating, snowmobiling, and so much more. Play hard all day, then come home and relax, sip on your favorite beverage while soaking in the hot tub in the courtyard. Frontside Hacienda is the perfect spot for entertaining & enjoying time with family and friends! Location! Location! Location!

The Frontside Hacienda is part of a duplex. If you have a large group and need more space, we also have the Riverside Hacienda (VRBO # 869751) located on the back or river side of the property that may be available for your dates. Please let us know if you might be interested in booking both units together!

Frontside Hacienda:
-Enjoy the expansive & fully equipped kitchen with an island dining table. Accordion window in the kitchen opens up to the courtyard.
-The master suite includes a king bed & private bath.
-The first bedroom includes two twin size beds.
-The second bedroom includes two queen size beds.
-A second full bath is located down the hall from the bedrooms near the entryway.
-The courtyard off of the kitchen has a gas grill for the nights you want to stay in a BBQ.
-The hot tub is in the private courtyard with an outdoor dining area & indoor/outdoor bar window off of the kitchen.
-There are 2 cruiser bikes provided for guest use.
-Laundry is available and located in a closet in the kitchen area.
-The Frontside Hacienda does not have A/C.

Frontside Hacienda is a dog friendly home! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs with prior approval, pet policy agreement, and a nonrefundable fee of $100/stay.

Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dish soap, trash bags, coffee filters as well as face, hand, & bath towels are all provided.

Lovely home in a great location

Great location very close to everything. Very walkable to lots of nice restaurants and pubs. The vic was a short walk and very fun. Felt very safe. The courtyard was very nice. grass back yard and with a lovely hot tub that was definitely a highlight of the place. The kitchen was lovely although we did not cook as we were there for just two nights. The livingroom nook was cute and cozy with a nice big TV. Never heard any noises from the duplex neighbours so that was nice. Lovely and convenient stay for skiing monarch.

This was a great stay at an excellent property. Well-equipped and clean. River is right out the back door. Handy to everything in town. Management was super to work with. Recommend this to anyone.

Events

We actually had to rent 2 homes but this was the favorite. Our stay brought so many together for a memorial and a wedding. Travelers from MN, NM, WY and CO. The home was great, the access to park, downtown and eating facilities was awesome as our group was 9 years old to 73 years old - hot tube to bikes. Convenient for shopping.. Totally consider this one again.

Absolutely an amazing place to stsy

It is on the beautiful tow on Salida right on the river. We watched the sun coming up over the mountain sitting on the deck listening to the river. The place was spacious with all the equipment in the kitchen we needed. Wonderful island were we spent a lot of family time eating and enjoying life.

Location, Location, Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Frontside Hacienda. We were initially concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but there were plenty of fans to keep us cool at night. The hosts have taken great care to make sure you have everything you need - from linens to paper goods - which is an added bonus.

Perfect Location!

Cozy little house located just blocks from downtown. Loved being able to walk to all the stores and restaurants. And just a short drive to the ski resorts. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome place

We loved this place. Great floor plan. Awesome kitchen and a two block walk to downtown Salida. It has a ton of character. Definitely would stay there again. Nice hot tub too.

Excellent location!! Near the river and within walking distance to the grocery store, restaurants, and shops. The house had everything we needed. Kitchen was great! Beds were very comfortable. My son’s dog was with us and it was the perfect location for walking him. We enjoyed skiing at Monarch Mountain which is only a 30 minute drive.

Great property, great location!

We had a great time! The property was really comfortable and clean, and it's right near everything downtown. The hot tub was clutch after a day of skiing! We can't wait to come back!

Ski weekend

It was a great size for 3 adult and 3 kids. Loved the fenced in back yard for our dog, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Great location!

You can't beat this place for location. The kitchen/family room is large, open and a great living space. Lots of extras.

Best Fall Getaway

We absolutely LOVED staying here! The location is EVERYTHING! We were able to walk to all the restaurants and cute shops in downtown. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the stars at night was priceless! We will definitely be back!

Just a few notes: Host was incredibly responsive Excellent appliances Some cobwebs in windows Bed in main bedroom is a bit too firm Hard to navigate around main bedroom because the bed is so large Lacking in glassware and cutlery was kind of dull

Perfect location

Whether you are there to enjoy the town, float or mountain bike this property is perfect. Close to everything yet feels secluded. This was our second time renting here and we will be back for a 3rd.

Location is unbeatable

It’s like an oasis right in the center of town. The house is not close to everything, it’s in the middle of it all! Great layout for a small group, well equipped and comfortable. Already looking at booking for next year.

Long Weekend in Salida

Recently stayed at the Frontside Hacienda with my wife, adult children and their significant others. We’ve stayed in Salida several times before and FH is the best place we’ve stayed. It is so convenient to everything Salida has to offer, especially the river. We loved the layout of the property, especially the open concept kitchen, and took full advantage of the hot tub. Kristan was very responsive to all communication and helped with a couple questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to return!

Close to river

Frontside is just a few steps to the river. The activity on the Arkansas varies throughout the day. Very calm and peaceful in the morning and loads of action during the afternoon. Its a fun spot!

Best time yet in Salida

This was our fourth visit to Salina. The location of this property and the helpfulness of the property manager, Kristen, were outstanding. You’d be lucky if you got to stay here.
