The 3,700 square ft. Galena RowHouse is a beautiful vacation rental home that sleeps 10, complete with a full kitchen. It's ONE BLOCK from Galena's Main Street and shopping district. With private off street parking; experience town at a casual pace. Walk anywhere in Galena... any day of the week... any time of the year. The home is near Galena's many walking paths leading out of town as well.
Our vacation home has 3 floors and is one of the most authentic places to stay in Galena. It was built in1846 of locally made Galena brick and limestone and will complete your historical Galena experience. All of the bedrooms are located on the second and third floors, with the third floor showcasing a private retreat with attached full bath.
In the early 1900s, the house was redecorated in mission style, and has been recently restored to include a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The house overlooks the Fever River and has a charming side porch to seat guests.

Very nice home. Beds were comfy. Lots of space inside and out for visiting with my friends. All essentials plus present for cooking. Great location and easy to get to town. Very quiet except for church bells and train.

Weekend stay

We, as a group of 8 senior citizens, enjoyed our weekend staying at this house. It was a great location and a very nice place to stay. We enjoyed seeing the sights and going to the balloon festival. We would highly recommend this property as a great place to stay.

Mom’s Bday in Galena

Great stay at the row house! Loved the extra touches: bath linens in every bedroom, face wipes in every bathroom, laminated list of kitchen specialty items, fliers on things to do in Galena. We would recommend highly!

Mini family reunion

We had a mini family reunion with 6 adults and 2 kids, and this beautiful house worked really well for us. It’s convenient to everything and made for a very fun Halloween night stay. We felt like we were in the Sirius Black’s hideout. Fun place for sure!

Wonderful location for a couples retreat!

Loved the home and it's location. Very convenient to Main Street, with both on and off street parking available. The home was well appointed and very clean. If you can't do steps then this property is not for you, that being said, I highly recommend this property and hope to return again.

Perfect location, spacious and gorgeous, exceeded our expectations!

This property is in the perfect location. The porches are on the side to offer peace and privacy with gorgeous views. Space is plentiful, decor is lovely and everything was clean and comfortable. It is exactly what you want for a ladies weekend. This is definitely the only place we want to stay from now on when visiting Galena. The owner was so easy to communicate with, check in and out was a breeze.

Five Friends took a shopping trip to Galena and loved our stay. The home has everything you could want! The two with the best knees stayed in the two bedrooms on top floor. The other three stayed in three bedrooms on second floor. Beds, pillows, and bedding were wonderful! We would definitely book again.

Long Time Friends Galena Trip

We couldn’t have been happier with a place to stay in Galena than The Rowhouse. We are a group of friends that have been meeting once a month for 40 years. The Rowhouse was the perfect spot to walk to shops and restaurants. The house is impeccably decorated and cleaned. We loved spending time on the side porch and even had a back yard visit from a deer when we were there!

Friends and spouse in Galena RowHouse

Our little family and friends outing turned out just about perfect, thanks in no small part to the wonderful accommodations. The Galena RowHouse is exactly as listed - charming, inviting, immaculate, full of character and comfort. Also steeped in history and graced everywhere with little personal touches by the hosts. Whether into snow sports, bird watching, gourmet cuisine, card games with weird rules (what can I say, we are an idiosyncratic bunch) or something else entirely, you will be glad you stayed here.

Beautiful house in a great location

We wanted to go to Galena for a long weekend with my adult children over spring break. The house is located one block north of Main Street and the three story house has great views of the city. We were able to walk to everything even the local magic show. The house is beautiful and even more importantly very comfortable. We all slept well in the bedrooms which were warm and super cosy. A good night sleep is so important after days of shopping and hiking. We were only a group of 4 but the house could comfortably accommodate many more people. I would highly recommend.

Visit to see family in Galena

The property was perfect for our need for housing for our two adult children and their families who wanted to come visit family members who live in Galena. The advantage of the house instead of hotel rooms was that we could have a kitchen for meals, a comfortable living room to relax in together and a great patio to enjoy our morning coffee. Even though the weather was quite warm there were plenty of air conditioners and ceiling fans to keep the house very comfortable. The house is decorated so nicely we felt like we were at a retreat. The hosts are very thoughtful--there were many little added touches. We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to using it again in the future.

Perfect for a Girls' Getaway

Four of my friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. We had a wonderful time. The space is just what we needed. The main floor with the kitchen and living room had all we needed to feel at home. We each had our own bedroom space where we could rest comfortably. The house is the best location if you plan to spend a lot of time downtown, which is something I highly recommend. The walk to the shops and coffee houses is down only one flight of steps. Another big plus is the private parking. We've stayed at other places and have had to park in the street or in tight parking lots, but this house has its own private driveway. That's a big win. Overall we had a wonderful trip and we felt right at home. We definitely plan to stay here again.

The location was perfect for three ladies enjoying some time together after a 50 year high school reunion. We could park the car in the driveway and walk to most anywhere we wanted to go. The house was charming in it's style and decor and looked exactly as pictured. If we had a question or need, the owner was quick to respond and lend a hand. Even though we wouldn't need all the space, I've already thought it would be fun to bring my husband back here for a visit and to explore Galena a bit more. Definitely worth a return stay!
