We had a wonderful stay at Huron Horizons and loved every moment! The setting was beautiful, quiet and close to many hiking trails. The home was warm and cozy with a fantastic view. It was in excellent condition and spotless. The host was responsive and very welcoming. My wife and I agree this was the best place we’ve ever stayed at in all of our trips to the UP.

Just wonderful! The property is everything you would expect it to be from the pictures and more. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Furnishings and appointments are top notch. We really enjoyed the kitchen and it was nice to have such quality items in it to use as we prepared many of our meals. The weather didn't cooperate for much deck or fire pit time during our 5-day visit, but the living room and kitchen windows brought the lake right into us. And the frequent breaking waves provided a very tranquil background. A delightful and memorable stay all the way around!

Another wonderful stay at Huron Horizons. We love the area and the cottage is beautiful. I think this recent visit was our third. Besides the cottage, which never disappoints, there is wildlife in the area. We saw a bald eagle, a coyote or wolf, and lots of deer in the region. The Big Bay eating spots are always nice and the ones in Marquette are also good. This place is so well-maintained and help is a text message away if renters have any questions. Great peaceful getaway.

The host is wonderful! The home is in such a peaceful and beautiful place. Marquette isn’t that far at all. Which you will need to buy groceries before hand. We didn’t eat out once. They have a perfect grill for two and the kitchen is stocked enough to cook every day. This home was so perfect for us. I actually canceled a boat tour to just hangout at the house. The sunsets were breathtaking!!I’ve already started looking at staying here again. The next time we will stay longer than 5 nights. The only thing that got to us was stairs, there’s a lot of steps. Even with my mobility issues, it wouldn’t stop me from staying again.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and so peaceful. It was clean and well stocked with things to make the stay comfortable and easy. The location on the lake shore was perfect. The cabin offered fantastic views of the lake and the sunsets were out of this world. Big Bay is a small little town that felt safe. The ice cream shop in town was great. The local sight seeing is amazing. Be sure to visit Sugarloaf Mountain and Presque Isle. Rock hunters can find many treasures at the cabin as well as the many beaches at Presque Isle. When I come back to the area I would definitely stay here again.

Honeymoon stay

My wife absolutely loved it for our honeymoon, though we wish there were more tourist destinations such as shops we had an amazing time hiking all over the surrounding areas absolutely amazing

Another wonderful stay in Big Bay, complete with the aurora! This home truly has it all, but the location is just perfect for anyone who truly wants to “vacate”. It’s beautifully appointed and very comfortable and safe. Thank you again.
