This beautifully renovated 800 sq. ft. studio suite offers sweeping ocean views, exceptional comfort, and a peaceful setting just 22 steps from your own private patio. Priceless spot right on the water. Everything you might need is all there. So peaceful, private, and beautiful inside and out. Look no further, this is the place where you want to be. Central to so many things. Basically right in the middle between Nanaimo and Victoria with all the little wonderful places in between. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and we hope we have another chance to be back.Thank you so much to our hosts. Responded to inquiries very quickly. We were lucky enough to meet them. They were very welcoming and kind.

We could not be more satisfied with this property. Everything was as advertised and our stay was perfectly delightful. Communication was spot-on and the price is quite reasonable. My only complaint is our schedule didn't allow us to stay longer.

Wonderful accommodation just as described. Very well appointed and such a beautiful view. Watched an eagle fly by while I was having my morning coffee and harbor seals glided past while we were enjoying a glass of wine on the deck by the water. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks John!

Rooms were well designed and very clean - everything available for preparing meals. Good idea to bring groceries as nearest stores are in Crofton or Duncan (not far). Hosts were readily available and respectful of privacy. Very peaceful, otters and ducks in bay fun to watch. Lots of hiking and around the corner from marina with a great pub. Would stay here again.

What a beautiful place to stay and relax.I was nervous about the steps down to the suite especially at night as I have mobility issues but it was ok. The paths and stairs are well lit at night. The large window inside gave us a great view of the water and Salt Spring Island.We had a lovely time and we wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Perfect chillax
Had a wonderful stay in Maple Bay. The property was equipped with everything you might need and was absolutely lovely for a relaxing and comfortable break.

This was our second time staying at the Maple Bay Casita and it was just as wonderful as the first time. The host John was super friendly and always available. The place is spotless and has everything that you need. We will definitely be back again!

Beautiful stay on the bay!
We enjoyed 3 days at the Seaside Casita including wineries, dining, and hiking. The Stoney Hill trail was stunningly beautiful.

A Beautiful Place
I enjoyed my stay at this beautiful casita on Maple Bay. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The flat is clean and well furnished for a relaxing time. I will visit again in the near future.

Patricia, originally from Calgary, and John, a Toronto native, found each other on Vancouver Island. John moved here in 2016, and Patricia joined him in 2019 to continue her consulting work while embracing the island’s laid-back vibe. Patricia’s passion for community-building is still going strong through her small business, which lets her work from home and stay connected to projects she loves. John, who used to race sailboats and play squash, now enjoys the slower pace of island life, working from home, and sailing on the beautiful west coast of British Columbia.
Both Patricia and John are always up for a bit of fun, physical activity, and spending time with family and friends. If there’s live music nearby, you can bet they’ll be there taking it in and probably on the dance floor. They’re excited to share their island home's charm with guests, ensuring everyone has a great stay.
