My stay was perfect. The property is beautiful and the cabin is very nice. Communication with the host is great and check in is very easy. Will definitely stay again.

Loved this cabin! Quiet and serene. We would bring more water and smaller size wood logs for the wood stove. Great place overall for the price!

The lake view was incredible. The cabin was perfect. Absolutely loved the simplicity. We all had the best time. Swam a bunch and the paddle boards were so fun. We spent a good amount of time at schoodic and also went out to the main Acadia area for the day. We could easily spend a whole summer out here. A dream!!

It is a very cute, simple camping cabin, as advertised. We knew to bring water so we were prepared for that. It would have been nice to know where we could have gotten more if we needed it. The heat is a wood stove and the wood left in the cabin and that we bought was a little too long for the stove and the tools there weren’t really adequate for cutting them shorter. My husband managed, but it took a while. If we come again we would bring an electric heater or at least a bigger saw or hatchet. The weather was cool while we were there so we didn’t use the porch or screened in area, but they were lovely, with a view of the lake. There are paddle boards there, and a kayak, which we’d have used if it had been warmer or if we’d stay longer. We enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for your review. I somehow need to make it clearer (in the description) that this cabin is one step above sleeping in a tent. You need to bring everything to camp outside. I loved my 3 night stay at the cabin on Jones Pond. Just as the listing says, bring everything you would need for camping. Mattress, dishes, pots and pans etc. It was a peaceful and calm visit.

The cabin is as described and a great step up from tenting. You’ll need everything but the tent as it says. The cabin is a short walk from where you can park and the porta-potty is also located near where you park, so a short walk from the cabin. The cabin had electricity as described and the fridge and stove worked great. The view is lovely and although it was too windy to use any of the paddle boards, they were there for use too. Already looking at our schedule so we can book a return trip.

This was a great mini vacation only 10 minutes from home. The cabin is bare bones, but it radiates charm. The use of a refrigerator and stove leveled up our experience while lugging in water reminded us of our camping roots. We used the onsite kayaks, fished from the dock, swam and enjoyed the sunshine on this quiet cove. Wildlife was brimming around us. Turning into this road can be tricky this time of year, as it sneaks up fast on busy Rt.1. Take it from a local, put your blinker and brakes on well in advance. The drive in to the cabin was completely manageable in my AWD SUV, but those with lower cars should be prepared to take it slow and steady. We are already looking forward to returning. We loved staying at this lakeside cabin! Truly a slice of heaven. Everything is as described. Electricity is available with a fridge, microwave, stove, lights, coffee maker, and plugs. They even have a fishing rod, kayaks, and paddleboards. Couch only, no bed or bedding. Friendly note to others: It doesn’t hurt to sweep the cabin or wash the sink for the next person. Leave it better than you found it.

This was a really cool location. Overlooking the pond (which looks much more like a large lake) with a campfire ring and Adirondack chairs by the water. The place was very clean and comfortable. Make sure you pack in your own amenities, including a blanket and pillow as these aren’t there, and there is no bed, but there is a comfortable couch. The room comes with a stove and oven, and some pots and pans and a sink for dishwashing. It also has electricity and a few lamps, microwave, and coffee maker. No running water so bring a gallon jug of your own water for washing with. It has a nice size refrigerator for storing drinks and food. The location is very close to Acadia national Park, which I visited and did some hiking. Acadia is one of the most beautiful parks I’ve ever been to. Finally, the host is quick to reply, and is very communicative and helpful. Great place to stay! Five stars!

Simple easy in/out process...good basic amenities (perhaps a road maintenance)
Very enjoyable 2 nights stay...just have to remember to bring the water I bought next time.
