Very comfortable home. Note, both bedrooms are upstairs, dont pack 40 pound luggage like we did! Everything was very clean and lots of kitchen supplies. Would definitely stay here again. Quiet and peaceful

Jan’s cottage was in a perfect, quiet location. The home was very well stocked/furnished with towels and linens and kitchen supplies. Janice was very responsive

This was our third year back in this home. The host, Janice, is wonderful and maintains her homes to the highest standards. The home is spacious; the kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are comfortable, and the bathrooms are modern. Highly recommended to enhance your stay in Bar Harbor.

Jan’s cottage was very clean and comfortable! Exceptionally well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms. The quiet, peaceful setting and house was the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Acadia NP and all of MDI. Highly recommend!

The house was clean and in a great location! Janice was wonderful and quick to respond. This was our first time visiting Acadia, but we will absolutely look to stay here again when we return.

This property suited our needs for our 6 night stay and visit to Acadia NP and the surrounding area. It's really well furnished with everything you would need. We would definitely stay again if we are ever back in the area.

Everything was very nice….the kitchen extremely well equipped. Location is excellent. Close to town without the crowd. My only reservation was the laundry. Guests are asked to start a load of their sheets. I thought rentals had strict requirements (especially since COVID) regarding the temperature the sheets are to be washed. The washer was set on cold when we got there. Although, I have to say, the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable.If we come back to Acadia we would stay here again.l

This house was awesome. It was spacious with a big kitchen and cooking materials. The grill was a huge plus, we used it three nights. The beds were comfortable and the laundry was such a great help for the week. It was super close to Bar Harbor and Acadia, and the woods behind the house were peaceful and full of birds. We stayed here for 6 days and it was fully worth it!

It is a nice house and a good location for to access Bar Harbor. The house is an actually nicer and bigger than the description.

Quiet, comfortable getaway

Good central location to explore both sides of Mount Desert Island and Acadia National Park. House had plenty of room and all supplies we needed. A nice quiet place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor.

Great stay

This was our second time staying in Janice's house. It is spacious, clean and comfortable, and Janice is a great host. The location is perfect for getting to the Hulls Cove Visitor Center for hiking and Bar Harbor for shopping and dining. I hope we'll be able to return for a third visit!

The host Janice allowed us access to the house two hours early. The house was just as described. Two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a large living room and full kitchen. Plenty of room for vehicles, shared driveway with other homes. Several minutes from any place on Desert Island. There is a washer and dryer in the basement, but watch your head on the stairs.

A gem of a house that is conveniently located. The house is fully equipped and has modern appliances, comfortable furniture, and beds. No detail has been overlooked to ensure your stay is a pleasant one. We are already looking forward to our return in 2026.

Tucked away home close to Bar Harbor

Home has plenty of room, easily sleeps 4 people. Very good communication with owner Janice. Close eought to Bar Harbor downtown about 15min drive.

Cozy, comfortable, and clean house nicely located to get to any destination on Mount Desert Island. Host made things convenient and easy for check-in. Any items we felt we needed were provided (dish soap, sponge, towels, tp, etc). I would certainly choose to stay again for any follow up trip to Maine.
