"Bears Den" rustic cabin hidden in the pines.

Experience the Rocky Mountains of western Montana in this rustic cabin centrally located in the Swan Valley. Enjoy magnificent views of the Swan Range of the Bob Marshall Wilderness to the east and Mission Mountains Wilderness to the west.

The log cabin overlooks a spring-fed 7 acre pond with views of the double falls on the Swan Mountain range. Elk, native trout, great blue herons, frogs, deer, ducks, geese, and turtles are among the frequent inhabitants.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. Full size Stove and Refrigerator , Microwave,Toaster, and Coffee Maker. Pots & Pans along with Dinnerware & Silverware. There is one bathroom with a shower. Towels and washcloths are provided. The cabin can sleep 5 with an upper split loft with a full bed and a twin size beds and a queen bed in the main floor.

Outdoor living is made easy with a grill and picnic table.

Located in a region of dozens of pristine lakes, waterfalls, rivers, and mountain trails, there are ample opportunities for recreation.

Enjoy canoeing/kayaking/paddle boarding, go horseback riding or boating. Other outdoor opportunities include fly-fishing the Swan River, hiking, hunting, huckleberry picking, mountain biking, snow mobiling or cross country skiing the myriad of trails and roads on public lands in the region. Or just throw a hammock up and spend the day relaxing.

There is no wrong way to spend a mountain day.

This cabin sits on Falls Creek guest ranch. There are 5 other cabins tucked into the trees along the pond. All are listed here

Wonderful location. Given how aggressive mosquitoes are in the summer months, I would ask the owners to perhaps make sure the gap between the screen door and the main door is sealed; we could not open the main door for circulation without mosquitoes getting into the property, and it was quite hot until the next morning.

The property location is breathtaking! We absolutely appreciated all of the amenities-pet friendly, paddle boats, kayaks, fishing. The cabin was great-spacious, comfortable and just what we were looking for! Loved having a place with its own bathroom/shower! Grounds were kept mowed and made pond easily accessible! Wildlife viewing was fun! We saw lots of deer, chipmunks, squirrels & birds. We even saw black bear on the other side of the pond & down the drive way leaving the property one morning! There are some basic TLC things that need repaired-screen door hinges loose, tennis court has weeds, main door was hard to get to latch, pots/pans are older & well used-but by no means did that really hinder our stay! I recommend bringing a couple of small fans-we kept windows open in the evenings and it really helped keep the cabin cool during the day! Overall, a great experience! I would recommend hosts leaving some more local information around simply because WiFi is a bit difficult to get at times. Check in/check out was a breeze!

Very peaceful, great place to be and the little lake was fun to paddle board on and use the paddle boats and fish. We would definitiely stay there again!

This property was very nice for the price, however there were some things that we wished we would have known prior or that would have been explained in a clearer manner. The first was that the water is absolutely not swimmable! This one upsets me because I actually sent a message right after booking to the property owner asking this flat out and the response was a vague non answer, not saying no and not saying yes. But, upon arrival it is very clear- this water is gross and unswimmable! Guests that had been long time vacationers here told my son, “Absolutely do not go in that water, it is stagnant!” My issue is, if the guests knew this, why didn’t the owner clearly state this to me when I sent her the message asking right after booking? Second, there is absolutely no internet connection. I enjoy Internet detox, but thought we would have some kind of service. Instead, for Internet you had to walk to a communal cabin and sit inside to get a signal- this was inconvenient, especially if trying to wait and connect with other people in your party arriving. Luckily our cabin was not far from the communal cabin.The beds were set up with two upstairs in the loft (a twin and full), and a full bed downstairs - right next to the only bathroom. The full bed was not super comfy, but it was not terrible.All in all, it was a nice, lovely, clean, and rustic getaway, and most definitely a place you can go to disconnect. Just don’t bring your swimsuit!

Wonderful location

The cabin is exactly as advertised. Rustic, quiet, in a wonderfully picturesque setting. Great location. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Barbara is very responsive.

Nice cabin

Great stay, Friday was quite and peaceful, a good place to get out of the smoke.. Saturday night, kids showed up and where loud but quieted after dark.. was nice.. I think sleeping 6 would be extremely tough there and the ladder going to the loft would be scary in the dark as the pitch is wrong.

Get away from the daily hustle!

Great place to get away from our daily routines. Loved not having access to phone or internet in cabin. Kids took full advantage of paddle boats and kayaks. Beautiful views and local hikes.

Bears Den Stay

The cabin was rustic and in a scenic setting. It was very quiet and peaceful. The lake view was delightful. We were a little confused about the bed locations from the online listing and thought two beds were on the main level, but it all worked out for our stay. We enjoyed the boats that were available. We weren’t able to visit some lake locations because some bridges needed repair but enjoyed watching the ducks, geese, frogs and turtles. We were confused about how to find the location where Wi-Fi was available and weren’t able to find any signs for the location. Overall our stay was very pleasant and relaxing.

Secluded Cabin with peaceful surroundings

Cabin was comfortable and peaceful . The pond nearby was aesthetically pleasing and even allows you to go on it via rafts / kayaks already there ready to go .we had our pups with us and there was no issue . Very nice experience

A Time Away

Just recently found this property and thought we’d give it a try for Labor Day Weekend. What a nice, relaxing weekend away!!! The cabin had everything we needed and Barb was available when things ran out!! Wi-Fi was available at the Gathering Place located on the property. I would encourage anyone from near and far to give this family run business a try!

Great Getaway in the woods

We loved out stay in this rustic cabin. Everything we needed was provided. There were even games for the kids to play during the rainstorm! Owners were easy to communicate with. Would recommend this cabin!

Lovely getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Bears Den cabin. It was so nice to sit on the porch and enjoy the pond/lake and scenery. My husband and daughter took the Kayaks out. The owners were great!

Great Location

We loved our stay in Condon! The cabins are very rustic, and clean. It has the basic supplies you will need for cooking. They had paddle boats and canoes for the pond. Condon is a great location to explore the lakes and Glacier National Park. We definitely want to go back!
