Original beach cottage! 3 bed/2 bath - In the Village!

Welcome to The Pink House located on Kings Way - conveniently located at the entry point to the Village!

Real Escapes Properties is pleased to offer this lovely 3 bedroom, 2 bath home located just steps away from the Mallery Street/Kings Way intersection of the St. Simons Pier and Village.

The Pink House is an older home with modern updates throughout. Enjoy the den with views of the backyard. There is plenty of seating – your favorite spot will probably be under the perfectly shaded wooden arbor – great for entertaining with family and friends.

The Master bedroom has a King size bed, as does one of the guest bedrooms. The third bedroom has a set of double beds. There is hardwood flooring throughout, two flat screen TV's, a fully stocked kitchen, fireplace and a fenced back yard with a large deck.

The St. Simons Pier Village is a favorite spot for both locals and out of town guests. There is always something going on in “the village”. Barbara Jeans, Brogens, The Half Shell and Zuzu’s are just a few of the amazing restaurants in the area. The streets are lined with unique boutiques and custom shops. Be sure to check out the historic St. Simons Island Lighthouse and all of the historical markers situated around the village and Neptune Park. There is a lot of history in this area!

• Any group gatherings and events at this property are limited to the number of occupants (8 persons).
• Dogs are welcome with an additional $100/pup non-refundable fee. (No cats.)
• Parking is available for 3 vehicles in the driveway and under the carport.
• Approximately 1.8 miles to Coast Guard Station Public Beach Access, walk two blocks to Pier Village!

Minimum age to rent is 25. This applies to all guests with the exception of multi-generational families.

What to Expect in your Unit:
• There are 2 TVs located in this property.
• Linens (Bath towels and bed sheets) are provided, along with a Starter Supply of Toilet Paper, Soap, Paper Towels and Trash Bags. Any additional supplies needed during tenancy will be the responsibility of the guest.

Great location and large space

The location was fantastic (although can be a bit tricky pulling out into the street because of the curve), but it is close to the Village and easy to walk around. All the rooms were quite spacious and had a very nice sized living room, which was fantastic for the little ones to play in. The only real issue was the cleanliness, as it had definitely not been properly dusted or floors cleaned. It might have been related to the big winter storm from the week prior so maybe the cleaners were not able to come or spend the necessary time to clean.

Close to Pier/Main Street

Close walking distance to restaurants and main street to the pier! Very cute inside, needs some outside work BUT was perfect for our stay!

Just perfect!

I love this home and the location. It was perfect for my husband, 3 teenagers, dog, and me. The backyard is fully fenced for the dog. The master suite was almost in like a separate wing than the other bedrooms. It’s pretty much in the village, so the teenagers can wander. The walking distance beaches are available at LOW TIDE. Otherwise a short drive to beaches at high tide.

Spring break

The “Pink” house was an ideal location for my family as it was only a short walk to restaurants and the beach. Plenty of room for my family and with the family dog. Excellent golf courses only a short drive.

Fabulous location!

We loved this property location! We walked to dinner every night in the village and shopped their during our down time. We rented a golf cart (highly recommend, and book your golf cart early) and loaded up the kids and beach supplies every day. We love the guilds inlet, east beach and the beach access points on ocean drive too. The property itself is old but charming and the kitchen was fully stocked to cook whatever you need. All of the appliances worked great.

Birthday Getaway!

Yes, the property is Old... Probably built in the 50's or 60's. It could use some repair work to the Inside floors and the Outside deck. However, it has Vintage Charm! The layout of the house is Perfect for 2 Adult couples... Both have their own private space with bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped; but it could use a few small items here & there (which I listed for the rental company). The location is Prime! You can literally walk to everything... Restaurants/Bars - Gas station - Pier - Shops. We found it very Comfortable! My Advice... If you don't like Vintage Charm, Don't stay here! Otherwise, stay & enjoy yourself!

Large home close to the village

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros big house close to the village. Bed’s where comfortable and linens were nice as well. Full kitchen and all appliances worked as expected. Spacious deck. Cons house needs maintenance. Air filters were clogged wooden floors need to be replaced or refinished. Floors still had a lot of pet hair on them. Yards over grown and several cracked windows. Also there wasn’t a mirror in the master bathroom. Believe we found it later in one of the bedrooms. Probably won’t stay again.

A Work-In-Progress that grows on you

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This cottage is somewhat dated but clearly is being updated as only time (or money) permits. If I owned this, I would take one month of solid work to fix everything. New paint is needed throughout as there are different shades of tan/white everywhere. The wood floors need replacing as they are water damaged near the entrances. Pink House is in serious need of a deep cleaning, especially the A/C ducts and ventilation, as dirt can be seen on the ceilings and bathroom vent/fan. (Easy fixes in my opinion). The main shower is fantastic (although it needs a door), the Jack & Jill bathroom, not so great and is super dated. Very nice TV's, very comfy furniture and beds. Kitchen remodel is in process. Landscaping in the back needs to be fixed as the bamboo is totally out of control and takes-up half the yard. The deck has been power washed one too many times and needs NOT go onto that deck barefoot. We were bug free except for one day near the end of the stay and we kicked the bug out the front door (expected in the deep south). Overall, we felt the price was very good for a location so close to the pier...literally a 2-minute walk. The downside is being on the main highway (Kings Way), not ideal for backing out of the driveway. Once inside, you cannot hear much traffic. Overall, we liked the Pink House much more by the end of our stay vs. our first day or two. We'd "probably" rent again, but only after we knew for sure that all upgrades and cleanings have been made.

Little Pink House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 3rd stay at the little pink house. We absolutely enjoyed it. The house has charm and you can bring your dogs too. It is a dated home and the backyard is overgrown and very dark at night. The back porch light won’t stay on. One of the recliners is broken and needs to be replaced. But thereis plenty of space to stretch out and it’s so close ( a 3 min walk) to shops, food, lighthouse, dog parks etc. The beds are very comfortable too. BTW the only thing pink in this house is the tile in Jack and Jill bathroom. What this home lacks in frills it makes up In convenience and accessibility to all of the south end fun! Bring your bikes, kids and dogs and enjoy island time!

Wedding Vacay Stay

The property was beautiful. Very close to a lot of little shops and restaurants with a pier just down the strip. Over all everything went smoothly, we had a small incident with the toilet stopping up but luckily we called the after hours number and they had someone out to fix the issue the next morning! Real Escapes was awesome to book with but every time we reached out to the property owner we didn’t get a response. We had 6 adults and my teenage brother stay and there was plenty of room for everyone. My wedding party came out and got dresses at the home and everyone really enjoyed it! Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The management company was attentive. The house was clean, but the property was in terrible shape. It needs a huge amount of work. In addition, there was nothing provided. We had to buy soap, coffee, you name it, it wasn't there. I own vacation rentals, and this is the first time I have stayed at a place including my own, with absolutely no supplies, expect a role of toilet paper and 1 roll of papertowels. The house was in need of repairs and not taken care of. This is the third time you wanted a review, and the third time I am sending it.

Charming house, great location

The house is a little shopworn, but it is a charming well laid out property and the location and price can't be beat. We brought out dog and three children, and we walked everywhere around SSI village. It's not fancy, but it has everything you need. The only time you need to get in your car is when you head to the beach a short drive up the road.

Easy Walk to Beach!

Reviewer Comments: Outside - Holes in deck, broken Adirondack chair, grills filthy, 12 inch spider crack in one window, all windows dirty, lawn was dead leaves and fallen sticks, hanging vines, water damage on all doors.Inside- Upholstered furniture was dirty, paint was chipped and touched up in many places and damaged wood floors. Towels were stained.Real Escape Properties was not interested/concerned with these and other comments.
