Very grateful for the space, it was clean, spacious, plenty of towels, dishes for cooking, plenty of pillows and blankets provided! Host was so friendly and accommodating!

This little apartment was extremely well outfitted, clean, comfortable, and very spacious for a single traveler. Great communication by host and close to Laurelhurst Park (one of my favorite places to jog in Portland) as well as several good eateries.

I stayed at the Getaway for a week while visiting friends in Portland. The space is cozy and very comfortable for a longer stay, and is conveniently located near many of my Portland favorites.

Our hosts were super responsive and available to help, even when I had a brain fog moment with the lock. They recommended an AMAZING bakery nearby and were happy to tell me all about the garden.

Lovely little place

We enjoyed our stay here and thought the place was cute! Nice and up to date, in a great location, with plenty of street parking. Charles was very attentive and quick to respond if we had any questions. Would stay here again!

Would definitely stay again!

This home is safe, comfortable, up to date with appliances and very well stocked. It’s in an ideal location for access to the city and for walks. We were very comfortable and appreciated how approachable the owner is. Thank you!

Clean and Comfortable

The property is convenient to visit our family in Portland. The owner and manager are very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. This was our third trip and we hope to stay again.

Came down to see friends. Very peaceful neighborhood, property is exactly what it was described as. Met and chatted with the manager who is very nice and friendly.

Great location, well stocked as a home base for our ventures into the rest of Portland. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming, we enjoyed some shared watermelon after a hot day out and about.The location is walkable to the neighborhood restaurants, cafes and bakeries, and located on a central bus line (20, that receives frequent service). Amenities were very welcomed, and enjoyed staying at this getaway.

Peaceful Property

Repeat stay in this comfortable quiet basement space, within walking distance to family, restaurants, stores and park. The owner and manager are welcoming and knowledgeable about local community amenities.

Love this house and grounds

Such a wonderful time at The Getaway. House is super clean and I’m a great location. Close to wonderful restaurants and shops and in a great walking neighborhood. I was there through a nasty snowstorm and the fireplace was so welcoming when I came back from work.

Great place!

It is very clean and nice! Exactly as advertised. A good size for two but definitely big enough for four. It is pretty centrally located with coffee and food options nearby.

Fabulous, welcoming space!

This was the perfect mix of a location that is so close to everything, yet quiet and well appointed. Wonderful kitchen, living room big enough for family game night, and a beautiful garden right outside to enjoy your morning tea or coffee. We would definitely recommend our very responsive host, and this immaculate space.

Relaxing

Charles was out of town but we enjoyed meeting Alex. He was so helpful and ready to help. We loved walking the neighborhood and looking at Charles’s lovely garden.

Stay at the Getaway, Portland

My daughter and I enjoyed our stay at the Getaway. It was a lovely place and perfect for the two of us. We werent there very much during the day, but when we were at night, it was quite peaceful there, and it had everything we needed. Highly recommend, Alex and Charles were both great, and Alex especially was available if needed. Thank you!

Comfortable and clean

We walked to our relative's home nearby as well as shops, restaurants and parks. It's an easy drive to and from the airport, so it was convenient and suited all our needs. The owner and manager are available if questions come up.
