Enjoy a culture-filled City break in this centrally located apartment. Situated right on Fore street, you are perfectly located to take advantage of everything Exeter has to offer. Only a 5-minute walk from the historic Quayside, where you can hire a bike and journey along the Exe Estuary trail, or take in some coffee culture at one of the cute cafes along the canal. Returning to your bright, airy and brand newly refurbished apartment to relax and rejuvenate. Perfect for a weekend break.

Recently renovated Grade II listed property that has undergone a complete overhaul. This home has been decorated with a modern, yet sympathetic finish, complimenting the beautiful character features. You'll be on the 3rd floor, providing privacy and plenty of light. We have kept a neutral palette throughout, but added hints of colour to provide a warm and welcoming space for our guests. Please see below note on the location.

The apartment comprises a well-equipped kitchen, a dining table snuggled into the corner of the living space that seats 4, and a very comfortable sofa that doubles up as an additional bed. There is a beautiful decorative fireplace with original tiles taking pride of place at the front of the lounge area and this is surrounded by ceiling height shelving that really emphasises the lofty, spacious feeling in the home. The bathroom room has a brand new shower with a beautifully tiled cubicle and the bedroom has a double bed, with window seats and some hanging space for clothing.

This is a space where Charles Dickens once stayed, as commemorated via the blue plaque at the front of the building, and as such is very old. There are some quirks such as very slightly sloping floors, but we feel this adds to the charm of the place and hope you do too.

The home is situated on a bustling, city-centre street, which is part of its appeal, being right in the heart of the action. Please be aware you may experience some street noise at night, particularly at the weekend. Please read the reviews to get the opinions of previous guests prior to making your booking. We are unable to take responsibility for any noise that is created externally to the home.

You are in the heart of Exeter on a bustling central street, abundant with independent shops, cafes and eateries. However, being on the 3rd floor, you have enough distance to allow for a restful night's sleep. The area is very popular with locals and many of the shops have their regulars, providing a very welcoming atmosphere. The apartment is also a short distance from the Quay where there are plenty of water activities and quirky shops to mosey around.

Enjoy the collection of Charles Dickens books on the bookshelves. However please handle with care as they are very old and delicate!

The bedding and towels for the sofa bed is stored in the chaise section of the sofa.

If there is a sofa bed in the home, it will not be set up as a bed. We presume you will want to use the sofa for its main use, as a sofa until the night time.

Early check-in and late check-out requests. We charge an additional £25 for any requests that are granted. Please message us through Airbnb messaging to see if we are able to accommodate your early check-in/late check-out request.

The holiday home is equipped with small hand soaps, a couple of toilet rolls and basic kitchen items such as a sponge, washing liquid, bin liners and salt & pepper. If you want anything specific, such as liquid hand soap or kitchen roll, please ensure you bring this with you for your stay. We do not supply additional consumables, this includes toilet rolls.

If you wish to extend your stay, you must check with our team. The earlier you check, the better as we are sometimes unable to reschedule cleaning to suit. We must provide at least 48 hours notice to our cleaners.

Pass the Keys® provides a high standard of service for short-let properties. Each property is professionally maintained and cleaned, with hotel-quality linen. We also provide 24/7 guest support and local personal service before and during your stay.

If the management team are called out to resolve an issue where you are at fault, you will incur a £50 callout charge, i.e. if you cannot connect to the wifi, but you have unplugged the router. Please be aware we will have to charge £25 if you have locked yourself out and we need to attend to help you gain access. There is a £100 charge for failure to leave the keys in the key safe on departure. This is because we will have to conduct an emergency lock change for safety reasons.
THE GOOD HOUSEKEEPING BOND
As per our listing details, we operate using a Good Housekeeping Bond and whilst we do not take a physical deposit, we have up to 14 days after departure to charge for any additional cleaning or damages caused during your stay and not reported. We understand that accidents can happen so please let us know if you have anything to report before your departure. Thank you

- Extra guests are not allowed unless previously authorised
- Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property
- We do not allow the use of candles ethanol burners or any other naked flame items. This is a safety precaution to help us prevent a fire starting in the home
- Respect for neighbours is highly appreciated. Please keep the noise down especially after 10pm
- It is not permitted to charge electric vehicles using the property's electricity supply.

Charming apartment in a very central place. However, the sofabed was broken and therefore not suitable to sleep on. Also the noise from the streets was quite loud, even on Sunday morning. And the apartment was rather dusty. We had good contact with Ali who was very willing to help, but couldn't really do anything about it in the short time we staid in the apartment. If I compare this to other apartments we stay in, it was quite expensive for what we got.

Pleasant accommodation

The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. We walk to the city centre, shops and station in a few minutes or not more then 15 minutes. We love the old city buildings and beautiful coast and Dartmoor park. The sun blinds did n't really darken. That was a little bit a problem in the early morning. There is no elevator, not a problem for us but good to know before. The hidt was friendly and helpful.
