Four days in Wells near beach

This cozy ranch is five minutes drive from the public beaches of Wells. We were a family of five adults with one aged grandmother who appreciated the walk in shower with seating and the ramp from parking to the front door. The beds were all sleep number but the remote controls were missing, the sunny kitchen had plenty of pans / utensils but was missing detergent and garbage liners - had we know we would have added those to our initial shopping List. The flush handle in one of the bathrooms was inoperable but our host sent over someone to fix it the next day. Overall a nice place with a few glitches.

nice beach house

we really enjoyed our stay. the house was well located, walking distance from the beach. We were a group of ten and the sleep arrangements were perfect. Overall, a really great stay!

Great vacation spot in Maine

Maine Vacation

Great property, house beautiful. Wonderful for families extra large family room. Absolutely amazing outdoor spaces. Close to beach great places for walks. Great location all around to shops restaurants etc. we really enjoyed our 8 days and hated to leave. Owners are amazing answered any and all questions. Extremely helpful. Dont miss out

Another wonderful visit!

This was our third year in a row returning to Christine’s property in Wells, and like the two previous summers, we had a wonderful stay. The house is beautifully appointed and well-maintained. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is perfect, on a quiet street and with easy access to much that the area has to offer. Christine does a wonderful job keeping in touch and making us feel welcome. Little wonder we keep coming back!

Beautiful property with excellent location. The house is very spacious and has more than enough room for a big family. We had a 3 year old and 1.5 year old with us and the layout was very child friendly as well. The hosts were very kind and quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Thank you for a great stay

Celebrated my 40th birthday here and it was a wonderful location. The property is great for families traveling together as they all have their own separate space and patios. The location makes travel to wells, york, ogunquit and kennebunkport very easy. Highly recommend.

Family reunion turned vaca

We’ve stayed on the Rte 1 stretch for 6 years now. First time renting a single family home. Plenty of space to hang out comfortably and such a great location! We had everything we needed….. Michael and Christine have a lovely home and were excellent hosts! Love being able to check in on Friday!

Very nice spot!

We loved it! Half mile to the left Scoop Deck Ice Cream. Half mile to the right the beach. Parked the cars and rode bikes all week.

Another wonderful stay

Based on our experience last year, we came back to the cottage this summer for another two-week stay. The house is a perfect spot for our multi-generational gathering: spacious and comfortable with lots of natural light and multiple outdoor decks. Very clean and well equipped. An easy drive to lots of destination spots plus walking distance to the water. Christine is super attentive and easy to work with. So glad we found this place!

Excellent house for our vacation. Owners were very accommodating to our needs and requests. They were also very helpful with recommendations for places to see and eat. The house was very clean and met all of our needs. Would definitely stay there again. 😀

Outstanding vacation home with plenty of space and amenities

Just completed a fabulous stay at this property. The location is perfect within walking distance to beaches and to local restaurants. The house was immaculate and had every amenity one can possibly need. The layout of the home is fantastic for a large family with its large eat in kitchen equipped with modern appliances, spacious living area with large screen TV and seating for everyone. We were 7 people and had no issues with space. The home also has beautiful decks where you can relax comfortably, enjoy the crisp Maine air and a observe the gorgeous landscape. The property owner truly thought of everything when preparing this home for visitors. Highly, highly recommend!!!

Great location and beautiful house

We had a wonderful stay . The owner was very helpful and prompt with whatever questions I had. The house was beautiful and had everything we needed.There was enough space for all 6 of us adults. It was a close drive to the beach, grocery store and Ice cream . There were small extras. There was a small garden our back with fresh vegetables and herbs that were delicious.There were beautiful flowers out front that we could pick and bring in to enjoy for the week. We would definitely come back . Thank you

Beautiful home 1/2 mile to the beach

This was a beautiful home will all the comforts from home. Plenty of living space and sleeping space. There are several decks surrounding the property to be able to enjoy sitting outside. There was eight of us and had some other family stop by to visit and there were still plenty of room to sit and watch TV or play games. Not much yard space but that was okay for us because we spent most days at the beach.

Vacation by the Beach

This was our first VRBO rental and we were so happy with our experience. The house is beautiful - very clean and organized. Christine ( our host) thought of everything - right down to Aloe in case of too much sun! The house is a short walk to the beach in one direction and a short walk to grab an Ice Cream in another. The neighborhood is great. Overall wonderful!!!

Wonderful cottage for a multi-family stay!

We loved our visit to Maine! The cottage was a wonderful home base for the multiple members of our family who came during our three-week stay. The rooms are spacious and lovely and the open layout works really well for kitchen/dining/hallway/living room area. The multiple porches are a bonus...as were the fresh vegetables from the garden! The location is very convenient and the home is very well appointed. Christine has thought of everything and is easy to communicate with. It exceeded our expectations!

Soleil Cottage

We had a great stay. The house is bright and welcoming. Plenty of room and comforts of home. A short walk to the ocean, not beach, but we did take our beach chairs down and found spots before high tide to sit and read. Several decks at the house to hang out on too. Christine was very helpful, reaching out before we arrived and answering any questions. Would definitely love to stay here again. Love the Wells area!

Great family vacation home!

Very spacious home with plenty of room for 3 separate families. All bedrooms are good sized with plenty of space. We had littles one with us and were very happy to see toys there for them. Short walk to the water/beach area. Lots of outside seating with the 2 decks. Overall it was a great stay and provided us with everything needed. Christine was very easy to reach and very responsive. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful comfortable house

The house is very clean and spacious. Perfect for our 3 separate little families with kids. The only complaint I have is that the listing said it was five minute walk from the beach and it is not. It’s a five minute walk to the water but it’s not a beach and then is an additional five minute walk, at least, down the street to the beach. It’s also not the kind of road that you can walk on with strollers, kids, wagons, etc. There is no sidewalk and it’s a pretty busy street so we needed to drive to the beach. It worked out fine because we were able to see some of the other surrounding beaches like foot bridge in Ogunquit in addition to Crescent. I would’ve like to know this prior to booking.

Perfect beach vacation

My family of 7 loved everything about our stay! The property was clean and spacious, and we especially loved the two large decks. Whether it was enjoying coffee, drinks, or a family lobster dinner the decks were perfect! The closest sandy beach is a 5-7 drive with parking $25 per day or $4 per hour, and the beach was beautiful!! Great location to ogunquit (10 min drive) with many restaurants and shops! Christine was awesome, very quick to answer any questions we had! Would love to come back to this property!!

great place to stay

This property is VERY well managed. Super clean. Well equipped kitchen. Quiet neighborhood (and quite near the ice cream store!) Well organized owner with great communication. My only concern is that we had to buy dishwasher soap, bath soap, toilet paper - one roll in each bathroom not sufficient. I am used to having these things provided.

My husband and I purchased this home in September and I have always loved the ocean. We both grew up in Western MA. We have 6 children and at the present time we have 10 grandchild and the family is still growing.

I have always wanted a home near the ocean, still having a few years before retirement we purchased the house with retirement in mind so we will take more time to spend with family. We want others to love this home as there vacationing spot and build memories with their families for years to come as we will also.

I knew this house was the one when I walked in the front door it was home. The skylights made the sun come through and I could see the sun rays on the floor. I also loved the kitchen because I love to cook, with four porches off the house so everyone can have there space if someone wants to read or have conversation and cocktails there is plenty of room for everyone!
