The charming French Chateau overlooks the beautiful falls of the Spring River

Come enjoy the beautiful sunsets off your balcony porch overlooking the river and be lulled into a relaxing state while listening to the water flowing over the rapids below. The Chatteau has a private entrance on the top floor of the three story building with two queen bedrooms, a bath and a half and a jacuzzi tub for two. The floor below you, the Manoir, can be rented out too. You will be steps from access to the river and walking distance from the Bufford Beach Park with swimming, play, and picnic areas and a boat launch. Property is located within minutes of 'old town" Hardy, a step back in time, with antique and specialty shops, craft stores and gift nooks.

This charming French vacation property is situated on a wooded hillside with private balcony. Lose yourself in the quiet and relaxing atmosphere. This property is the perfect location for an intimate wedding, family vacation, reunion or retreat, to spend a honeymoon, anniversary or a romantic getaway, or the perfect base for fishing, canoeing, or rafting. These nightly/weekly rentals are the perfect place for you in historic "old town" Hardy.

Quaint and comfortable

We loved the Chateau! Very cute and comfortable. We loved the balcony overlooking the falls- It was a great spot for morning coffee. Located close to the river as well as shopping and restaurants.

Best view in Hardy! Great outdoor space and a balcony overlooking the river. Perfect location in the country but only minutes from town.

Great view,close to town

The living area of the property is well maintained. Parking is adequate for a full size car. View is great. Downtown is a short drive. Would stay again

The location and view of the river is amazing, all day we could hear the rapids and it was so relaxing. The apartment was extremely homey and comfortable. Could not have been more pleased. Amanda and her staff did everything just right.

Romantic Getaway

It was the perfect surprise for my partner! The private balcony overlooking the falls is serene & perfect. Inside of the chateau is the perfect French country feel. Outside feels very New Orleans & we love it there! We’ll be back!

There is a lot of overgrown vegetation around the property line and driveway. But the apartment itself was very sweet, very nice. I’d like to stay here again sometime.

Great location and clean. However, we had incorrect check in information and had to wait for the host to unlock the door to let us in. There was no remote or instructions for the fireplace. There was no cold water in the small bathroom. We also had no hot water for the shower or the hot tub. The hosts did come and attempt to fix the problem but were unsuccessful. If you drink coffee, bring your own. There is a coffee maker but no coffee. We were refunded 90 but that was less than 1/2 of what we paid for the evening. Left without a shower and disappointed.

I rarely leave reviews because I am a low maintenance traveler and fairly easy to please. However, the lack of response by the host, the nasty, unclean conditions left me very unhappy. We arrived to plumbing not working, the furnishings very old and dirty, the place not cleaned and cigarette butts all over the patio. I reached out to the host 3 times with no response. I feel this host needs to take a hard look at whether they should rent this property has is or start must needed upgrades and a cleanliness plan. I highly recommend people not rent this property.

We spent many hours on the balcony overlooking the Spring River falls. Wonderful birdwatching. Fun watching the fishermen and kayakers. The accommodation was adequate.Two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms were a plus. Very nice shower. Enough of a kitchen to prepare a light meal. Good WiFi and great air conditioning. The host was quick to respond to any issues. The outside needs a lot of maintenance, especially removal of all the poison ivy. I would stay here again.
