This house is a newly built home with a great view of Lake McConaughy. There is a very nice large wrap around deck for summer enjoyment outside. The inside has a nice open and comfortable layout for all to enjoy. Resides in a quiet neighborhood. Close to convenient store and cement ramps off the highway approximately 1 mile East. Also has a restaurant and bar within the same subdivision for eating out pleasures.

Large nice place clean

stayed for a weekend ended up having more guests than planed . Ranae our host could not have been nicer. The kitchen ,dining & living room area is large and was perfect for our family. The deck was great There are stairs that you see in the photos that is how you get in, that is the only thing that was a little hard for some of us to navigate carrying things in and out. Would stay there again .

Disappointed

The house itself was as described and fairly clean. This property is not properly described as in the listing on Vrbo. It's listed as "New house with GREAT VIEW of Lake McConaughy. There is no GREAT view of the lake because the lake is dried up in this area and the waterline starts at least 4 miles away. There's RR tracks 100' or so behind the property and trains run all hours of the night although it's hardly noticeable when they go by. I couldn't find the password to the WiFi so I texted the host to get it but she never did respond. I eventually found the password in the 3 ring binder. We will never stay here again.

Awesome home!

Perfect home for a retreat close to lake Mac! Communication with the host was friendly and punctual. I would definitely recommend this home for a stay😁

Owner broke 2 privacy policies

The most inappropriate behavior I have ever experienced from a VRBO property owner. First of all, about an hour away from arriving at the house, we had received no communication on how to check - in/ get inside. Called owner, no answer, messaged her on app, no answer. Eventually got there and scoped the place out in the dark and found the key sitting in the front door lock (THIS IS A POLICY VIOLATION). Owner responded the next day saying she lost her phone. On our second to last day there I messaged her saying the garbage disposal hadn't been working our entire stay (which wasn't important to us) and now the sink wasn't draining (we were using the strainer thing that catches big food from going down the drain so it wasnt clogging it). Told her it wasnt a problem for the rest of our stay since we were leaving at 11 am the next day. We all fell asleep for a nap and woke up to her walking inside the house WITHOUT PERMISSION and then continued to start screaming at us yelling profanities at us before we had even spoke. Then she tried to fix the sink and let her dad in to try to fix it without asking us if we were okay with him coming inside. She then admitted she had had a little too much vodka (AND SHE DROVE HERE). She eventually left without fixing it (which we didnt care about) and drove off. Overall nice house, clean and good amenities but THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH RENTING A HOUSE. Will never stay here again.

Nice little place

Close to the beach, far on the west end of the lake so check water levels if you want to get down to the beach. Plenty of amenities and quick responses from property manager.

Nice clean home. Quiet area.

Took my Grandaughter and family for her 15th birthday. Nice home. Great communication. Lake was very low and had to drive quite a way to put our boat in.

40th birthday getaway

My husband surprised me with a 3 night stay at this beautiful cabin for my birthday. We walked in and were instantly impressed with the size, decore, and accommodations! We felt right at home and so cozy and comfortable. It was a memory I will forever cherish!

Nice getaway

We had a good time at this lake house. Had two adults and two teens so the beds/bath were great. The house is super cute and perfect size. Check in and communication were great and easy. Short walk to creek area and great views from the deck which is where we spent our time. If you have a pup you are trying to keep on the deck, bring two gates, as there are two exits off the deck, and no dog run. As everyone says, the water levels are very very low and the lake was fairly frozen over still. We would be interested in checking it out in the summer. Thanks!

Friend getaway

This place is very cute, kitchen is large and the view is great. Very nice bright, fresh space. The house sits up high and the views are nice, we saw thousands of migratory birds. The lake is very low, no ones fault, still enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking out to the bluffs and lake. The host was easy to work with and went above and beyond for us. Connie& Linda

We had such a great time on our trip! The property was beautiful, clean, great location and amenities. The hosts were awesome! Very easy to communicate, simple process to check in/out and great value for the property as well. Couldn't have been happier!

Very Reasonable, and Great Location!

Cabin is pretty up to date and a very reasonable price for how nice it was. We had no problems with anything. Plenty of dishes, and cookware to use. I wish we would have went earlier in the year when the water wasn’t so low but that isn’t their fault. Overall, this is a great cabin to rent. Plenty of space to park your boat and trailer in the lot next to it.

UPDATED LISTING NEEDED!!

The house itself was as described, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, roomy living area, and clean kitchen. However, this listing seriously needs updating on the location and its proximity to the water. We had to drive atleast 10-20 minutes for beach access and to find a marina to rent a boat. Per the residents nearby there has been no water in the area for the last 2 years. Train tracks 200-300 feet from house with trains at all hours of the night. We had fun but would rent elsewhere now that we know.

Great house!

Everything was great! Perfect place for a family. Just two of us but would’ve easily accommodated 6 people. Kitchen well stocked w/ everything we needed to cook breakfast/lunch/dinner. Coffee maker & Kurig machine were available. Very clean. Comfortable beds.
