Rhody House is a handcrafted cabin in the woods offering luxury and privacy in a compact package. It is on a private five-acre forested parcel in contrast to sister Marblemount property Rainbow House's open pasture and expansive views. Fully landscaped with a park-like feel. Surrounded by bucolic pastures, guests can stroll to the edge of the property while contemplating the grazing cattle and spectacular views of Mount Diobsud and the North Cascades—if not actually hiking among them!

Great location for access to North Cascades. Not sure how old the cabin is, but it appears like new and was exceptionally clean. Grill was clean and in great shape to use which is something we’ve found lacking at other locations.

This home is waaaay more wonderful than the photos show! It’s new, VERY clean, VERY spacious, has a full kitchen with everything you need. It’s so peaceful. Steve is a wonderful host. If we make it back to cascades we will absolutely stay here again

Clean and very close to town. Lots of kitchen supplies. Very peaceful. Bring your own coffee as very little was stocked.

This was the closest to the visitor center to North Cascades Park that had good reviews and a kitchen and the pictures don’t do it justice. It was really clean, bright, fully stocked and having a washer and dryer was a plus. It was quiet and relaxing. It still was too far away from some of the places we wanted to hike in northern east side of the park but we found plenty of others within a reasonable driving distance. We couldn’t get the tv to work but were warned ahead of time and made due with our ipads. It was really nice.

Thanks for the comments! The failing T-Mobile service will be replaced by fiber cable, long on order. The cable was finally trenched in the day of your departure, and a TV will be back to normal soon. Thanks for your understanding!

LOVE this cabin! Super clean, secluded, peaceful, so green and lush. True to the listing.We grilled but there are a couple restaurants a mile away, and small gas station/grocery for basics.The kitchen is well stocked with pots, dishes, glassware etc but bring foil, ziplocks etc if you’ll need it. Also I’m glad we had picked up a bag of ice. We loved sitting on the back deck (moved the rocking chair out there during the day!), watched squirrels and a woodpecker, and our last evening … a black bear! soooo awesome.Would stay again in a heartbeat

Great property

Great stay! Close to North Cascades visitor center, which was the reason for our trip. Kids loved staying at the “cabin” and seeing black tailed deers and coyotes right outside!

The cabin was amazing. They really have thought of everything so far as amenities. Very comfortable furnishings. Great location for exploring North Cascades NP. Overall fantastic experience.

We loved our stay at this property. The setting is beautiful, private, and located close to the entrance of the park. The home is warm, cozy and spacious, with everything we needed. We would definitely return to the Rhody House if we are in the area again!

Awesome place!

Likely one of the nicest rental properties I have ever been in! Just a lovely place, well maintained, well appointed. And the location in the North Cascades is great.

Super cute cabin, we did lots of exploring the Northern cascades! At the house we also saw a bear and mountain lion in the backyard which was super cool!

Thanks for your nice comments. A worthy reminder that proximity to the park includes the potential of viewing wildlife at the cabin. Guests are encouraged to read the excellent advice found on the National Park Service website regarding animal protocols and behavior.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Marblemount and the North Cascades are close enough to our home in Seattle to provide overnight escapes in addition to longer wilderness experiences. Those escapes kept us sane during our business careers. And when we weren't in Marblemount, all we had to to do was close our eyes and imagine ourselves being there. We called that 'A Marblemount Moment.'

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

You will see a sign when entering Marblemount that says 'Last Services in 74 miles.' We're at the entrance to North Cascades National Park, idyllic, with restaurants and services close at hand.

Rhody House's five-acre wooded parcel was a beautifully landscaped homestead in the early-20th century that had been abandoned (thus all the mature Rhodies!). It has been a pleasure rediscovering and highlighting its unique beauty and tranquility.
