Stonethwaite Stay
I stayed at the cottage with my partner and dog. Our stay was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The first thing I was met by was the outdoor area, which was an amazing place full of character. During the stay, time was spent in the outdoor area and shared garden. Having the option to sit inside a part enclosed area was a lovely touch and so cosy on an evening. Inside the house was jaw dropping when we first walked in. Such a well thought out and planned space. Again, this was full of character and charm. Sitting on an evening with the log burner on was absolutely fantastic. Everything was immaculate and so homely. The living room was a beautiful set up and having an open plan with the kitchen was a nice touch. The kitchen was well equipped and the added bonus with the utility room. Everything you would need in a kitchen or utility was at hand.
The dog enjoyed his stay! Having an enclosed garden was amazing. He enjoyed playing about and we were able to relax, knowing he was safe in the enclosed space. He also enjoyed time in the shared garden, which is beautiful!
As for the owners or the property- we bumped into Dave on a couple of occasions when heading out. He is a lovely gentleman and gave some fantastic advice on places to visit. Very knowledgeable about the area. The homemade goods on arrival were absolutely delicious and such a nice welcome treat.
I would absolutely recommend this place! I have stayed in many cottages and by far this was one of the nicest and cleanest. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
