Charming,Comfortable, and very well equipped

Our stay in cottage Juanita was comfortable and so well equipped that we had everything at our fingertips, including a washing machine!!!! Ted went out of his way to make our stay stress free and comfortable. Would return many times over...

Wonderful Cottage !

Thank you Ted for all the work you put in making this place a perfect vacation rental. We enjoyed our stay tremendously, the comfort, the cleaness and the quiet. Close to beautiful Orotava and to the beaches of Puerto Cruz, but also a relatively short drive to El Teide. We loved coming back to our little cottage to relax and play with the cat. The San Diego restaurant down the street was our "cantine", so close and an excellent value. We hope to come back next year ! Greetings from Anja & Rudi

Wonderful Holiday

Casa Juanita is in a lovely quiet location. It comes equiped with all you would need. The bed is most comfortable. Best of all are the hosts. We received a wealth of information both before and during our stay. They checked in with us regularly to see if we needed anything and to give us avocados freshly picked from the tree on our private patio. Thank you so much Ted and Chris for making us feel so welcome.

Cottage Juanita was wonderful!

We loved the natural beauty of the setting, the privacy and the comfort. We like to cook, and were able to make a local dish we had enjoyed at a restaurant in the very well stocked kitchen.Our host was very helpful. A multi paged sheet of information about the property and the area was provided. And Ted himself stopped by to see how we were doing and to answer any questions. We would like to suggest that the phrase "Turn at the red church" be added to the directions for how to get here.The location is wonderful for day trips in either direction. We visited the Botanical Gardens, Anaga Park, the History Museum in La Laguna, El Socoro Beach and Icod de la las Vinos. The internet worked fine and the TV was a good size for relaxing after our trips.Thank you Ted!

Fabulous Place

Well we booked this cottage months before arriving and kept going to the website to look at the pictures again. It helped pass time as we waited for our hols. When we arrived we were amazed that the cottage is even better in reality than we had seen on the website. Bernard told me that Cristina was the designer and wow she has done a great job. All the facilities excellent and are as descibed and the location is fantastic. With it being situated on the avocado planatation it is so peaceful and a great base for exploring the island. Bernard and Cristina are really helpful but aware that some, like us, like a quiet time and they really respect that. So perfect balance - help if you need it but you are left to yourself if you want quiet. Great restaurant just down the road and from there you can walk down to the beach. Wider afield there are some real gems to visit in the north of the island. Loved the town of Garachico and the mountains in the north east of the island. So if you want a peaceful stay in a beautiful location this is a great place. Just look after it. We may go back !

Ein wunderbarer Ort

Wir haben die Tage im Cottage Juanita sehr genossen - ein wunderbarer Ort um auszuspannen und die reizvolle Umgebung zu entdecken. Ted ist ein sehr hilfsbereiter Gastgeber, der uns mit 1000 Tips zu Ausflügen, Stränden, Restaurants usw. versorgt hat. Das Häuschen ist klein aber fein und hat eine wundervolle Dachterrasse, auf der sich wunderbar entspannen lässt.

Little gem among avocado trees!!!

What a wonderful place!!! Excellent welcoming by the host with a basket of fresh fruits and a bottle of wine. We enjoyed the stay very much and felt like home. Every day we were eating outside on the patio among all the avocado trees. The BBQ grill was a plus. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. There is also a parking spot for the car. Thanks again to Ted and Cris for all their help and recommendations. We'll be back!!!

Sehr nette Gastgeber, sehr gemütliche und saubere Unterkunft!

Everything was perfect! The hosts were very helpfull and the apartment was the most cleaniest one i've ever seen! It was like coming home although we have never been on teneriffa before! The avocado trees grew around the apartment, the beach was nearby... we will go there again, definitely!

The perfect vacation retreat

My wife and I grateful that Ted and Cris decided to share their beautiful property. The cottage was the perfect getaway and the location served as a convenient location as we explored the wonders of Tenerife. After spending the day being "tourists" it was nice to return "home" to the quiet of the plantation and the comfort of our accommodations.

Gemütlich, ruhig entspannend

Wir haben im September für 9 Tage im Cottage Juanita eine schöne Zeit verbracht. Das Häuschen ist sehr nett eingerichtet und bietet alles was wir für unseren Aufenthalt benötigten. Ted hat uns mit vielen nützlichen Tipps bei unserem Ferienprogramm unterstützt. Frühstück unterm Avocadobaum ist toll, genauso wie das Beobachten der Sterne vom Dach des Cottage. Zum Strand kann man in knapp 30 Minuten gut zu Fuß gehen auch wenn der Weg recht steil ist. Das Restaurant oberhalb des Bollullo Strand können wir sehr empfehlen. Unvergesslich wird uns unsere Tour zum Sonnenuntergang auf dem Teide mit anschließender Sternenbeobachtung bleiben. Bestimmt werden wir nochmal wiederkommen, da es uns sehr gut gefallen hat.

Kleines Paradies auf Teneriffa

Wir sind definitiv keine Cluburlauber und haben gerne unsere Ruhe und dafür eignen sich Teds Hütten einfach perfekt! Der Urlaub beginnt bereits bei der Anreise, wenn man in die Straße zur Plantage einbiegt und man eine wunderschöne Palmenallee vor sich hat die am Horizont im Meer zu verschwinden scheint. Bei der Ankunft befindet man sich dann schon mitten im Paradies. Natur wohin man blickt, eine ausgezeichnet gepflegte Anlage mit riesen Avocadobäumen, Palmen, Bananenstauden, Blumen, Pfirsiche etc. traumhaft! Die Häuschen sind stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und bieten alles was das Herz begehrt. Hier passt einfach jedes Detail! Das Beste daran? Stille! Man hört nur das rascheln der Blätter im Wind, keine Straße, keinen Maschinen, keinerlei Lärm. So lässt es sich natürlich auch sehr gut auf der Terrasse aushalten die mit einem gemauerten Griller aufwartet und auch zum Sonnenliegen einlädt. Wenige Meter entfernt gibt es ein ausgezeichnetes Restaurant für Hungrige, sollte man mal nichts im Kühlschrank haben oder nicht in die Stadt fahren wollen. Supermärkte (zB. Lidl) sind 5 Autominuten entfernt und sehr leicht erreichbar. 15 Gehminuten entfernt findet man auch die (unserer Meinung nach) schönsten Strände auf ganz Teneriffa. El Bollullo, Los Patos und El Ancon sind schwarze Sandstrände deren feiner Sand sich wie Wolken unter den Füßen anfühlt. Die Strände sind wenig besucht und wenn dann tummeln sich fast nur Einheimische dort. Das Wasser ist absolut klar und sauber und der unruhige Atlantik lädt zum Wellenreiten ein. Wenn man etwas mehr Zeit hat, kann man auch nach Puerto de la Cruz spazieren. Hier ist eine gute Stunde einzuplanen, aber der Weg geht einer schönen, erhöhten Strandpromenade entlang und nach Hause kann man ein Taxi nehmen was keine 10Euro kostet. In Puerto selbst gibt es ausgezeichnete Restaurants (uuuunbedingt ins El Taller de Seve Diaz!!!), Shoppingmöglichkeiten und den Loro Parque. Final ist noch einmal zu sagen, dass der Urlaub herrlich war und Ted und seine Häuschen den Großteil dazu beigetragen haben. Ich kann es jedem uneingeschränkt ans Herz legen in diesem Paradies abzuschalten und den Rest der Welt zu vergessen...

wunderbares, gemütliches Häuschen

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Cottage Juanita sehr genossen. Es war hell und freundlich, sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und absolut sauber! Alles vorhanden, was man im Urlaub braucht. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wein und einen gut gefüllten Obstkorb. Das Cottage ist von Bananenplantagen umgeben, daher absolut ruhig. Teds Betreuung vor Ort war sehr angenehm. Er versorgte uns stets mit guten Tipps für unsere Unternehmungen. Wunderbar!

Total relaxation in this delightful cottage

The cottage was very clean, well maintained and had everything and more, that we expected from a holiday home. It is in a peaceful position surrounded by avocado trees which give welcome shade from the sun when you need it. Ted was very helpful giving us ideas and recommendations on places to visit and eat, while we were there, and before we went. His directions to the cottage were very clear so we had no problems finding our way. It was with great pleasure and surprise to see Mount Teide's snow covered top from the patio on our first morning and most days after too! We walked into Puerto De La Cruz twice and enjoyed Tapas from two great and reasonably priced restaurants, taxi back, as it was dark, cost about 8 euros.

Wunderschöne Gegend, sehr netter und sympathischer Vermieter, sauber, Terrasse mit Grill, top

Wir wurden vom Vermieter mit einer Führung durchs Haus und mit vielen nützlichen Tipps (Restaurants, Strände, Surfschulen, etc.) empfangen. Das Häuschen selbst liegt am Rande einer Avokadoplantage und ist durch eine kurze Straße erreichbar. Wir waren von der Sauberkeit und der hübschen Einrichtung im spanischen Stil begeistert. Highlights waren die Terrasse mit Grillplatz und das Bad mit ebenerdiger Regendusche. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder

Sehr zu empfehlen!!

Sehr schön und funktional eingerichtetes Häuschen, kleine Terasse beschattet von Avocadobäumen, kleine Küche mit allem was man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Absolut ruhig, perfekt um sich zu erholen! Sehr nette und zuvorkommende Gastgeber die immer Ansprechbar waren! Wir kommen gerne wieder...

Großartig! Wirklich zu empfehlen!

Meine Freundin und ich waren im Juli 12 Tage auf Teneriffa und wohnten in dem Cottage Juanita. Uns hat es dort sehr gefallen, wir wären auch noch länger geblieben - aber wie das so ist, Urlaub hat man eben nur eine begrenzte Zeit... Das Cottage war genauso wie es die Bilder zeigen. Es war sehr schön und hell eingerichtet, alles war sehr sauber!!! Die Küche wie auch der Rest der Wohnräume sind sehr gut ausgestattet. Es hat WLAN und Satteliten-TV für den Empfang internationaler Sender. Man kann sich problemlos selbst versorgen: kochen, backen, bügeln, Wäsche waschen usw. Die dazugehörige Terrasse ist auch zu erwähnen, wer es liebt im Grünen zu sein, der wird es lieben!!! Sie ist sehr schön angelegt - von Avocado- und Bananenbäumen umgeben - und die nutzten wir vor oder auch nach unseren Ausflügen täglich zum sonnen, entspannen oder grillen. Die Umgebung ist recht ruhig, so dass wir bei offenem Fenster sehr gut schlafen konnten. In der Nähe befindet sich ein sehr gutes Restaurant "San Diego" (die Straße runter) und der wunderschöne, nicht zu überlaufene Strand "El Bollullo" ((15 Min. Fußweg oder mit PKW) auf die Farbe der Flaggen achten wegen der Brandungs- und Wellenstärke, auch Wasserschuhe sind empfehlenswert da sich der schwarze Sand sehr aufheizt). Wir hatten ein Mietauto, somit kann ich über die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel nichts sagen, die wohl durch ihre gute Verbindung und Ticketpreise einen guten Ruf genießen. Die Anbindung zur Autobahn ist sehr gut, einige Kilometer vom Cottage in Richtung Puerto de la Cruz gibt es an der Autobahn Geschäfte jeglicher Art: Essen, Kleidung etc. Ansonsten gibt die Insel einem mehr als genug zu erkunden, eine Aufzählung würde nur dauern und ist zudem sehr geschmacks-/ interessenabhängig. Wir haben auch nicht alles geschafft, was ein Wiederkommen zusichert!!! Ted haben wir als einen sehr netten und höflichen Gastgeber erlebt. Er hatte uns bereits vor dem Flug einige Informationen über das Cottage, die Insel mit seinen Sehenswürdigkeiten und die eine oder andere Empfehlung zugeschickt. Bei unserer Ankunft hatte Ted uns empfangen, uns alles gezeigt und noch offene Fragen geklärt. Es gab einen Obstkorb und eine Flasche spanischen Wein! Im Gesamten haben wir einen sehr positiven Eindruck, seine Anwesenheit war sehr dezent. Er gab uns einige tolle Empfehlungen für die wir letztendlich, aufgrund der tollen Erlebnisse, dankbar waren! Aus unserer Sicht und auf Grund der Erfahrungen ist es eine absolute Empfehlung!

Es war die sauberste Unterkunft die wir je gebucht haben. Ted der Vermieter war stets hilfsbereit und brachte jede Information die wir brauchten.

Zauberhaftes Cottage mit herzlicher Betreuung

Wir suchten eine Wohnung für uns und unseren 8jährigen Sohn, die im Norden Teneriffas in der Nähe von Puerto de la Cruz liegt. Wir wünschten uns etwas „Auslauf“ für unseren Sohn und Ruhe für uns. Im Cottage Juanita haben wir all das gefunden. Das Haus ist liebevoll, modern und umfangreich ausgestattet. Es gibt neben vielem anderen eine Waschmaschine, Backofen, Tiefkühlfach, allerdings keine Spülmaschine (die wir wider Erwarten gar nicht vermisst haben). Für unseren Sohn gab es ein Reisebett im Schlafzimmer, das vom Wohnraum nicht durch eine Tür abgetrennt ist. Das Highlight war für uns die schöne Terrasse. Wir haben dort in Mitten von Avocadobäumen gefrühstückt, gegrillt und ausgeruht. Nachts hört man bei offenem Fenster nur das Meer und morgens die Vögel, ansonsten ist es wunderbar ruhig. Mit den Auto kommt man schnell zu Supermärkten und in das schöne Puerto de la Cruz. Außerordentlich begeistert waren wir von der gastfreundlichen und hilfsbereiten Art von Ted, der uns von der ersten Minute an zuvorkommend, aber unaufdringlich betreut hat. Er spricht ein sehr gut verständliches Englisch, wohnt direkt nebenan und steht mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, egal ob Tipps zu Ausflügen, Auskünften zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Infos zu Avocados, Vermittlungshilfe bei Mietwagenproblemen, Verleih von Sandspielzeug etc.. Außerdem wurde unser zuhause nach einer Woche komplett gereinigt, aufgeräumt, mit neuen Handtüchern ausgestattet und und und. So fühlt sich Urlaub an. Das morgentliche "Have a nice day" von Ted werden wir in sehr guter Erinnerung behalten. Wir haben uns als Familie dank Ted und Christina rundherum wohl und willkommen gefühlt und werden hoffentlich bald wiederkommen. Ganz herzlichen Dank an die beiden.

Lovely accomodation in a quiet rural setting

Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage in a lovely quiet rural setting on an avocado plantation. Although quiet, it is only a couple of minutes drive to the Autopista for easy and quick access to the rest of the island. Puerto de la Cruz is only 5 minutes drive away, with numerous restaurants, cafes and touristic sights.Ted was welcoming and helpful, without being intrusive. Highly recommended.

Lovely comfortable, well presented cottage.

The cottage has been well planned and thought out, beautifully finished and well equipped and is both comfortable and welcoming with plenty of space. As Ted was not going to be able to greet us on arrival as he would normally do, he made sure well in advance that we were aware of how to access the property and that we had his contact number. The outside space is pretty with colourful plants surrounding the terrace giving privacy. The owners are friendly, helpful and available if needed to give any local advice or recommendations. The San Diego restaurant at the bottom of the hill, 5 minutes walk away, has a great menu and lives up to Ted's excellent recommendation. The volcanic scenery on Mount Teide is unmissable and the north coast is well worth a visit. All in all, a great space to stay which we would be happy to recommend to friends and family.

Perfect cottage in green oasis of an avocado "forest"

Brilliant location in walking distance of beach, restaurant and Puerto de la Cruz. This a great base to enjoy the best of Tenerife. However, the biggest assets are the charming and helpful hosts- Bernard and Christina! We've already booked again for next year!!!

Lovely place

We experienced our stay in Villa Juanita as a very pleasant one, the villa was very clean, cozy in a rural quiet setting.Ted is a wonderful host. We would like to come back on our next visit to Tenerife.

Dear Eva, Thank you for your review, we are very happy that you had a nice vacation. We would really have appreciated if you would have explained in what sense you found the property dark (out of 28 reviews during the past 3 years no one else has made a comment to that respect). We always try to improve to satisfy our guests and we can not do it if the comments are not specific. Also, it was very frustrating for us to get a four star rating after 28 five star reviews without getting a chance to know what was the reason. Best regards from Tenerife and we hope to see you next time you visit the Island.
