Secluded A-Frame cabin 30 min. from downtowm Missoula

The A-Frame is a Rustic cabin with a full kitchen. Water is packed in from the well in 5 gallon blue containers. There is two double beds ( sheets and blankets ) a wood stove ( wood provided ). There is a wood fired SAUNA next to the cabin and an organic shower house and outhouse with heat and lights. The deck has a barbque and sits next to a small trout stream. Blue Ribbon fishing is only minutes away. There is also a large shower house very close by.

I do not get any information about the bookings on the weekends because our cabins are off the grid.

Incredible find, our favorite place we stayed during our cross country road trip. This cabin is a destination on its own and we’re already planning on going back. Sauna cantina creek is unbeatable

Mike is a great host. The A-Frame property is exactly what was expected for the price and listing. It is rustic but that is what we fly fish bums booked and expected. We had an enjoyable time and would book again if we return to Rock Creek for another fishing adventure. Thanks Mike!

Mike is great to work with. He explained how to use everything well. There was plenty of water and wood. The bar he built is sweet! The cabin is perfect for a place to stay and get back to your pioneer roots! The cabin is right next to Brewster Creek. So peaceful.

This was a well needed getaway for my family. Mom dad and daughter . Mike is the most amazing host. We had stress free getaway from missoula and our jobs. This helped our 5 year old reconnect with nature, something she doesnt get in the city. Its a place you never want to leave. Thanks mike for our wonderful stay. We will be returning shortly

We loved our stay at the A-frame! Rustic, cozy, and so memorable. We loved the sauna, the cantina, and Mike's thoughtful touches and wonderful hosting! We're already planning a return visit!

The cabin was great! Cozy and just what we needed for a few nights. It's not anything fancy but it is warm and comfortable. The little bar that Mike built was great to play cards at. Check in was smooth as Mike met us and took us down to the cabin. The only thing that could be improved is the beds, they are not the most comfortable. Thanks for hosting Mike!

New Favorite Spot!

Mike’s place is the perfect rustic getaway. Made with a lot of love, very unique, and secluded. The sauna is incredible!! We’ll be back!

We could stay on that deck by the creek forever

Mike is an excellent host. Whatever we needed he happily accommodated. If you’re looking for a rustic place nestled next to a gurgling stream, this is the place:)

Excellent Stay

Mike was a great host. He had the wood stove going when I arrived and it was a smooth check-in process. Everything was clean and well kept. It was a peaceful cabin with a nice, little creek running through the front, and even a wood-fire sauna! Would highly recommend!

The place was quiet and secluded. It’s rustic, so be prepared to feel a little like you are camping which is what we were looking for!! Mike was an excellent communicator and reached out to me to make sure I had directions. Definitely will come back!!

When I read the description of the property, I fully expected the bathroom to be inside of the cabin. This was not the case. It was an outhouse that is dire need of some repair work. And it had a squirrel living in it. I also expected when the description that there was a bathroom it would include a shower. This was not the case. There is a shower house up the road. The description says kitchen, I would expect running water. This was not the case. The description also says that the cabin sleeps four and has two bedrooms. This is not the case. It has an open loft with a bed in it and a bed in the main living area. This is not necessarily a deal breaker. I am not one to complain and I can rough it with the best of them. However, there is nowhere in the description of these issues. There is no lock on the door either. Just a latch hook. The cabin does need a deep cleaning and some TLC.The cabin is secluded and that was nice and it was quiet. There is a nice deck and little cantina connected. But some general cleaning of the deck chairs would go a long way. The host did call me to confirm we were still going to be arriving but I was never given the information regarding the outhouse and shower house situation. I have to say that many people gave this property very high reviews. But I genuinely think that the description of this property is inaccurate and needs to be addressed. We didn't stay the second night because I just couldn't face another night with the outhouse.

Quaint & Quiet

My fiancé and I both have very busy and demanding jobs. We needed a break!!! This little A frame was exactly what we needed. There’s no cell service, no tv, no connection to the outside world, and it’s FANTASTIC! You can hear the creek at night & listen to the fire crackle. We drove into Missoula, which is about a 20-25 minute drive. We hiked to the “M” & hit up a couple pubs. My only recommendation for this place is to bring board games/cards!

We loved staying here! It was so peaceful and private. Mike was very helpful and kind. We loved the cantina and the creek right outside the door. Will definitely come back and stay again!

This is a gem of a property! Mike was very communicative and greeted us upon arrival to show us around (the A frame is more secluded than the other cabins). The bed was comfortable and there was a provided fan for air and wood stove for heat. Thew views are incredible and we saw a lot of wildlife nearby! We will definitely be back.

Fly fishing trip

The cabin was perfect to get off the grid and close access to unbelievable fly fishing. Mike was great to deal with and made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely come back.

Sleeping in the Cantina

Was everything that we expected and more. Loved sleeping in the Cantina listening to the creek (our friends stayed in the A-Frame). The sauna is awesome, it is worth using. A herd of big horn sheep visited both days. Thank you Mike!
