Spacious Historic Downtown Home with Pool – Perfect for Groups!

Welcome to our charming and spacious home in the heart of Paso Robles Wine Country! Just a few blocks from downtown, this house offers the perfect getaway for family and friends. Enjoy easy access to local shops, restaurants, and wine tasting rooms, all within walking distance, plus a short drive to top-rated wineries and the beautiful California coast.

The main house features 4 bedrooms upstairs , each with comfortable beds (2 kings, 1 queen and 1 Twin sized bed), and 2 full bathrooms. Downstairs, you’ll find an additional full bathroom and 2 queen sleeper sofas in the living area, providing plenty of space for larger groups. A detached pool house includes a private queen bedroom and another full bathroom, perfect for added privacy.

Relax and unwind by the large pool (note: pool is not heated) in the spacious backyard. Whether you're lounging after a day of wine tasting or enjoying a meal outdoors, this house has everything you need for a memorable stay!

Disappointed

The pictures are very deceiving. This house is not well-maintained. Difficulty in opening windows and closing doors. There were boards sticking up in the backyard. That was a trip hazard. Several trip hazards in fact.

Great pool

The house was large and fit our group of 7 very comfortably. The pool is fantastic with both sunny and shady sections and we spent a lot of time in the pool while there in 110 degree weather. The hosts were responsive to an issue and solved it quickly. Thanks!

Great house for family vacation

Our family of 10 adults and grandbaby had a wonderful stay. We had plenty of room inside and out. The pool-house was perfect for our daughter/son-in-law and grandbaby to stay. Although it was pretty warm outside (in the 90's) the pool stayed nice and cold! The house has 2 A/C units (upstairs/downstairs) and worked great! Lots of shade around the pool too. Hope to stay again!

large family getaway

Wonderful stay at the Stowell House. 4 day getaway with adult children and significant others. Stowell house is a charming large victorian on a large private lot at the end of a street just blocks from the Paso Robles town square. We found it extremely comfortable with plenty of room for our family of 8. Would definitely stay againl

Everything and More

This place is as advertised and more. Beautiful historic home full of charm and very comfortable. We were a party of 6 adults and had plenty of room to cook, party, swim and dine in. The house is equipped with everything you need. Super quiet neighborhood and an easy walk to the main square in downtown. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. We'll be back for sure!! Never staying at the Courtyard Marriott again.

Perfect house

This house was perfect for our short weekend stay. It was clean, cute and quaint. Casey and Caroline were super nice when messaging them and very responsive. Would love to stay here again if and when we come back to beautiful Paso Robles!! We had 10 people and the house worked for us perfectly!

The property was lovely. It was just as described and the location was great. We were celebrating my husband's 50th birthday with family and friends who travelled in and it was a great weekend.

Great for our group of 9 cycling friends

Fantastic cycling right from the house. This property is right at the bottom of the Peachy Canyon climb. It was perfect for our group. Would have been nice to have a heated hot tub though. Thanks so much.

Beautiful, spacious and great location

The Stowell House was a wonderful place to stay while visiting Paso Robles! We had 4 adult couples staying for an extended weekend and loved our VRBO choice. After visiting wineries during the day, we were able to come home and walk to/from dinner every evening. The yard was spacious and had ample seating to enjoy in the afternoon/early evening. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms available for all 8 adults. Would definitely choose this house to stay at again.

Fab Wedding Weekend

Group of friends stayed here Fri - Sun for a wedding. It was the best decision and added so much fun to our trip! The historic house was such an added bonus, the brave ones went for a dip in the pool (in October), & plenty of room for everyone. We all enjoyed breakfast & dinner together, and couldn’t say enough about the house! Loved the history & the fact that we made memories in it to add to the 100+ years of people enjoying it. Thank you so much for the stay, I highly recommend!

Beautiful, Charming House

Enjoyed our stay at Stowell House. The house has old school charm but pleasant updates. It is very close to the center of town and it is very walkable from there. It is in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood with plenty of street parking. Please be aware all of the bedrooms in the main house are up a fairly steep set of stairs, so anyone with mobility issues should consider this. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect for our family visit

My two sisters, their spouses and our adult children all stayed here together. The house was perfect for our group and we had a wonderful time. We cooked breakfast and lunch there and had dinners out. The walk to downtown was faster than driving and finding parking. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The beds were all comfortable. The house is historical and has its quirks, but nothing you wouldn't expect. Well, except one thing. A lot of the windows do not open. Enough open to get a good cross breeze and cool the house down (there's AC, I just prefer fresh air), but the windows in the bathrooms did not open. Perhaps packing a bottle of poo-pouri should be on the checklist. ;) All in all - we had a wonderful family trip and would definitely choose this house again.

Lovely oasis!

Such a quaint, functional space that worked great for our family vacation. Loved how the pool area was mostly shaded and the bathrooms are all beautifully renovated. The only downside was the early check out time (10am). We didn’t want to leave!

Great house for large groups

This historic home was absolutely perfect for our college sorority reunion! There are so many fun little places to sit and talk and the house had great amenities. We definitely plan to book this house again next year!

Perfect Location!!

Us ladies really enjoyed the house, it was just too bad the weather didn't cooperate so we could use the pool. Very close to downtown which we walked to for shopping, go to happy hour & dinner, Farmers Mkt. and just general walking. House was well appointed, comfortable & in a quiet neighborhood (with deer running around across the street). Easy to navigate getting to the 101 freeway and to most wineries. We'll be back!!!

Great House, Great Location

We were five couples that stayed for a Saturday beer festival in Paso and had the best time. The house is located right in the heart of downtown, so walking to food and drinks on Friday was a breeze, and after the beer festival we got to enjoy the amazing backyard and pool. The hosts were very accommodating and quick to reply with any questions we had. We will definitely be renting here again for future Paso Robles trips.

Great for big family

This house was perfect for our 8 family members. We loved the space and it had everything we needed to cook and enjoy our time together. The close proximity to downtown was a must have for us and it was easily walked for our 60+ year old aunts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful historic home with us.

Charming and comfortable old Victorian home.

Very good experience renting this old, quant Victorian home. Plenty of room for 9 of us. Great location to downtown Paso Robles. Owner was very responsive when our coffee maker didn’t work and it was replaced immediately. I recommend this home and would stay hear again.

This is a great house in a fun location. We had 5 adults and 5 children who spent new year's eve in paso. Its easy to downtown, wine country and the sensorio lights. I worked perfectly for us.

Fabulous Property - Don't Hesitate

Stowell House was everything we needed, wanted, and more. The house is beautiful and so carefully laid out. While we were ten people from two families, we never felt cramped. In addition to the property essentially having two houses with the pool house bedroom, the shared spaces in the main house are wonderfully separated so that you can have various groups of people outside, on the porch, inside in several places, allowing people to be together or alone when they needed to be. Four generous, working, well apportioned bathrooms (we were all in town for a wedding). In addition to the usual things you'd expect when renting through VRBO, the owners left us detailed instructions - all accurate, a bottle of Paso Robles wine, coffee and filters to get us started (thank you!!!), extra supplies of everything (towels, detergent, soaps, TP, etc.). And nice house karma...warm, gracious...perfect. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Lovely house in a perfect location

A group of 10 of us were in town for a wedding. This house was perfect for us all. Plenty of room and bathrooms. Great outdoor seating area and close to town. Would definitely recommend staying here!
